I ride through this taxi service on a regular basis, anywhere from 2-5 times/week, have for the…read morepast 2 years or so. This morning, (6-29-18) I called for a pickup at 6:20am for work, calling ~20 minutes in advance. In a major rush to get out the door, I hadn't realized it was 6:23 when I stepped outside and saw the taxi already driving away. The owner himself was driving, noticed me outside, SLAMMED on his breaks and loudly yelled out the window "YOU SAID 6:20!!!!" as he pulls back in. I get in the taxi and he proceeds with "You're late, fuck my time huh?" I apologize twice and say that I'm just heading to work. At this point I wanted to just cancel the ride and walk, as he is clearly in a foul mood. The OWNER then continues to berate me during the ride, saying that I've now made him late for future pickups. After riding in an extremely awkward silence, we arrive at said destination and without even looking in his direction I dropped my payment of a $5 between he and I and get out. I hear him say "Really?!?" Once I'm out of the vehicle I remind him that I ride almost every day, which clearly doesn't matter if the owner is cranky about having to drive taxi early in the morning. I have never been spoken to or treated like this by an employee, let alone the OWNER, of a place anywhere and I will make very sure to inform everyone I know not to patronize this business. On a positive note, at least Prairie Five Rides only charges a fraction of the price of Turbo Taxi, and their drivers are always polite and professional

I called the company to inform them of this and just let them know that is rude and unacceptable behavior and I could tell by the response that my friend's story was definitely true. No type of hypothetical apology, only told me that is just an isolated opinion and left it at that. Apparently he thinks it's okay to be completely rude and disrespectful to nice people. Why somebody would treat a customer that way is Way Beyond me.
