If i could give zero stars i would have. Had a terrible experience with them. I read the reviews…read moreand booked them, they were reasonable with pricing for moving from Halifax to Toronto. But from the day the items were supposed to be picked up until the end of time we have had troubles with them. First of all instead of arriving on the day of pick up from Halifax, we get a call previous night from the transporters demanding to pick up things in the middle of the night, threatening us that they will leave and won't take our stuff, it was horrible. How do they expect us to arrange elevators and everything in an apartment building at 11pm ? Finally Sam spoke to the transporters and convinced them to pick up on scheduled date and time. Now for pick up, 2 people came in and were in super hurry, made my husband do all the work literally including moving the couch, the transport vehicle was a little truck from Home Depot and they some how fit everything. They left and reached in a day. We had requested our stuff to be placed in storage, the storage they chose was far away from our location we had given. We reached Toronto a few days after our items were dropped off at storage, we went to see it and realized more than half our stuff was missing for which Sam said other items are in another storage unit, and said he will move all our things into our unit. He did, I think and sent us pics, we went back to check and everything looked in order. Now on the day of finally taking our stuff back, we see our storage unit has 2 locks and Sam is AWOL, we somehow got access and now our mattress, dining table and some boxes are missing. Completely unacceptable. To get the second lock off because Sam had not been paying the storage we ended up paying extra money. Its been 2 months and we still havent gotten our stuff back and no response from Sam. Dont get fooled by them. We are in touch with consumer board for investigation and planning to file a police report too. If you're looking to move please do not take their services.

I will preface this by saying that if I could give ZERO stars, I would, but the minimum a is one…read morestar rating. My husband and I booked a few days in advance of hiring this company for the second time in four months (we renovated our home and were living in a rental). We were quoted $163/hour for 3 men in July 2018 which was a little more than the $148/hour for 3 men we were charged in March 2018. Unfortunately the company pulled a major fast one on us and the third mover left within the first 15 minutes of the job starting. His departure was not communicated to us by the lead driver, Jay; rather, I asked what had happened to him. The response was that he had pulled a muscle getting out of the truck when they arrived at our rental house and that his sister had "taken him to the hospital for surgery". I asked about the rate we were quoted and Jay assured me that it would be "adjusted" which i assumed meant it would be somewhere closer to $105-120/hour. As an aside, the individual appeared to be in his early 20s and it top physical condition and was easily 15-25 years younger than the other two movers who were assigned. Upon reflection, it appears highly likely that the driver saw the relatively small size of the job and sent the young man away (perhaps a temporary worker as opposed to an employee) so that he and the other mover would benefit from working a longer day, at likely a higher rate of pay. Needless to say, my husband was flabbergasted when Jay told him that the rate for 2 men was $148/hour. The cost of moving in July was almost $400 more than our original move in March even though it was a significantly smaller amount of contents involved as most of our furniture and other items had simply been moved from the 1st and 2nd floor of our existing home into the basement. Furthermore, All-Rite blatantly over-charged us for 5 mattress covers that should have been $6.95 + HST = $34.75 but instead we were charged $61.60. When I contacted the owner of the company to ask for a refund, he advised that "I should call around and find out how cheap their rates are" and that he would not be reimburse me for anything. He then proceeded to hang up on me. We are pursuing this with our bank as we paid with our credit card and are in the process of disputing the charge with the expectation we will be reimbursed for the overcharge. I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU AVOID THIS COMPANY AS THEY ARE DISHONEST AND DISRESPECTFUL!!!

That was a mistake. The movers showed up on time but it was quickly clear that their punctual arrival was going to be the highlight of the day. One of the movers was perfectly fine but the mover who made this into a shitshow was beyond incompetent. Here are just some of the obnoxious things he did. - Repeatedly asked me if I spoke Hebrew (I do and was not offended by the question but to hear it 6 or 7 times was a bit much) - Repeatedly asked my girlfriend if she was Moroccan (she is not) - Tried to prop open doors with a quarter on multiple occasions (this did not work on any of the occasions) - Dropped a box on his foot because of his carelessness - Insisted on showing me the Donald Duck impersonator he hired for his daughter's birthday (I have no idea why) In addition, the move was incredibly slow. I spoke to the owner of the company - Serge - at the end of the move and he told me it was because one of the two buildings from which we moved had very long hallways and two elevators. I agree that this made things more difficult but the move could still have easily been completed more quickly had we had two competent movers who spent a few minutes planning things out and showed just a little bit of urgency during the move. Finally, they did not have basic proper equipment including something to hold open door (they spent 5 minutes at each building breaking up pieces of cardboard) and enough shrink wrap to cover two mattresses. I'm sure that, based on what I heard about them previously, this company is perfectly competent on a good day but our move was not that day and I wouldn't risk your move either. RESPONSE TO JOSEPH While I appreciate that Joseph took the time to respond to my review, the response completely misses the point. It is true that nothing was damaged and that movers need to pace themselves. It is certainly not true that no expense was incurred. Despite the challenges associated with the elevator and hallway in one of the buildings, there is no question that this move could have been completed in 6 or 7 hours. I've moved apartments many times. I know how fast good movers can typically get stuff out of and into an apartment. These guys were moving at a glacial pace by comparison, leading to an inflated bill. Joseph mentions that Serge (the guy managing the move) rounded the number of hours down from 9.5 to 9. This is true but in no way did it bring the bill to anything remotely reflective of the number of hours that should have been worked. UPDATE Without any prompting on my part, Serge reached out to me on June 11 over text and offered a $200 refund. I appreciate the gesture and think that it speaks well of the company that they made the offer without any prior commitment on my part to update this review. As such, I've changed it from two to three stars.
