They arrived this morning, even though it was raining and got right to work. They are honest and extremely hardworking! Not only did they tackle this very large tree, but they did so with complete professionalism and skill! This large tree was right beside a medium size shed, not to mention not far from our split entry home. They removed it without damaging ANYTHING! I was in awe of how easy they made it look to cut down, when it clearly was a large task to handle. I will be referring this company to anyone I know who needs tree removal. Really impressed with their work ethics and skills! It is hard to find such kind and hardworking people. They were above and beyond in every way!

This is my first year hiring Paslow Lawn Service to cut my grass. I'm not very impressed by the…read moreprofessionalism that I've experienced. They rarely ever come when they are supposed to. If I'm hiring them to cut the grass weekly, I expect them to be there to cut the grass weekly, sometimes it's at least 10 days until they even show up, and I'm having to call/text asking where they are. If paying for the every 10 days, they sometimes don't show up for 2 weeks. There has been less than satisfying excuses every time. There's never anything offered to please the customer to potentially try to make up for what they didn't do correctly, which IMO, is poor customer service. When they actually do show up and cut the grass, there's always stray grass strands standing up throughout the yard and doesn't look like the best job is done with the trimmer along the edges. The only thing that is fair, is the price per cut (but if it's done correctly). I most likely would not hire again for another year.

I've planted, cared for, and pruned many smaller fruit trees and ornamentals over the years, so I had enough tree knowledge to realize as soon as my husband and I spoke with Luke that he really knew his stuff. We also knew we needed a professional, because we had three towering Bradford Pear trees at our newly-purchased house which had been allowed to grow wild (and far too tall!) for years on end. There are plenty of businesses which will hack a tree down to size, with no particular thought to its immediate or long-term welfare. By contrast, Luke made each cut knowledgeably and judiciously, keeping in mind what the future growth of each tree would look like. He took great care not to disturb our neighbors' yards or plantings, even as he sent some big branches tumbling to the ground from 30 feet up in our compact city neighborhood. Luke's professionalism and obvious concern for the well-being of trees were evident throughout the process. Thank you, Luke!

They are in my neighborhood what seems to be daily. They were in my backyard a handful of times…read morethis summer. They're hired by Duquesne Light to cut down trees and branches around the utility wires. We got a door flyer early in the summer saying they would be doing work soon but the "soon" should definitely not be taken figuratively. They showed up weeks later in our backyard and just begin cutting. I wish there was some kind of better notice or heads up, but there isn't. So they ended up cutting down three very large trees and left the massive logs just sitting in high piles in our yard. Twice this happened in the summer and then late fall. There was no way we were able to do anything with these logs. They had to have weighed a ton and we didn't have any tools that would have handled cutting them. They needed to be cut with professional tools. So I called Duquesne light and talked with a customer service rep who said the manager of the tree division would call me back. Weeks went by and nothing happened. I called again and was told someone would call me back again. I wasn't holding my breath. Then a few days later a whole crew showed up at my door and told me they wouldn't take away the logs but could cut them for us to use for firewood. This was actually perfect because we do, in fact, have a log burning fireplace and we never ordered wood this year. They spent the whole morning basically halving them then came to the door and asked if that was okay. We were like... ummm no way those halves could be used for firewood. Not sure if they intended for us to get to work cutting them down more if what but they were still massive. We asked if they could cut more, because they were too large and the guy was like ooookay. I'm sure it's not how they intended to spend their whole day but I am SUPER SUPER SUPER appreciative and we ended up lucking out with so much new firewood. I'm not sure why this wasn't done in the first place when they initially cut down the logs, but I suppose someone just dropped the ball. FYI they will not do anything with trees that fall down from storms or natural causes, they did tell me that. But apparently from what happened it is their responsibility to cut it into useable firewood pieces. I'm not giving five star just because those logs sat there for months without any action or calls back. Plus, they threw some of the logs on one of my bushes and killed it :( But again, super thankful they rectified it!

I am an over communicator and have not always had the best luck with good communication amongst contractors and landscapers, but Ty always responded back to my questions, was realistic with the timeframe for this project and was careful to never over promised anything he couldn't deliver on. He was professional and realistic about when they could come out to squeeze this project into their hectic schedule. They power washed our backyard patio and put poly sand down. They also put topsoil mush down with seed in what used to be a large swingset area. They removed all pebbles and bricks where the swingset used to be. They proceeded to trim all our bushes around the perimeter of the house and last but not least laid down rubberized mulch. I would highly recommend Ty and SPL Lawncare for any landscaping needs! They were professional, timely and offered a fair price when others wanted to charge more for the same project. But most importantly to me, Ty was a good communicator and always got back to me with updates and realistic timeframes of when he could do the job. :)
