I've never felt so disrespected before. I will be looking to bye in the Seattle area soon so my…read moregrandmother and I decided to spend this Sunday exploring open houses. When I got to this house the broker Jim Gram looked us up and down and decided we didn't belong in his listing. He refused to acknowledge me when I tried asking questions about the house and then found it necessary to follow my grandmother and I into the basement. My grandmother and I felt so uncomfortable we decided to leave before seeing any of the other rooms. After getting into my car I looked back to the house and saw that Jim Gram was recording us with his cell phone. I've been to many open houses in the past and I've always found the agents to be very helpful and kind but after my experience today I don't see myself attending an open house again any time soon. I would never hope to work with a man like Jim Gram.

We recently purchased a home where Randie Stone of Windermere West Seattle, was the selling agent,…read moreand it was a very disappointing experience. Randie was rude, slow to respond, and regularly got even the smallest details of the negotiation and transaction wrong. In regards to our financing, we used Navy Federal Credit Union, the best and highest rated credit union in the United States. She bad mouthed it from the start, saying she didn't know if she could trust our financing because she'd never heard of NFCU. She even requested we put up more earnest money because she didn't trust NFCU. We found this highly disrespectful on a personal level, and also to active duty and veterans. When it came to closing, Randie did not make sure her clients left the property in a suitable manner. They left behind toxic chemicals, paint, and junk. The place was filthy. She also pushed us to accept a "free" refrigerator in the storage unit, but did not disclose there was no 220 outlet, and that we weren't allowed to plug it in and run it. We had to pay to have it removed. Also, there is a HUGE cut out in the living room carpet that she nor the owners disclosed. They covered it up with boxes when we did the walk through, and left a carpet runner over it when they moved out, as if we would not look under it or move it. Overall, we found Randie to be rude and highly unprofessional. We have bought and sold several homes, so we know what a good agent looks like. Randie Stone is not that agent.

This is a review for both Scott Monroe and Molly Kemper. If you need an agent (or two) who will…read morehandle literally every single detail for you, these two are the team you need. We had a unique situation, selling the house of a family member after their death, and with one party living in Canada, and Scott & Molly made it the most seamless process you can imagine. And this was including major renovation, building walls, refinishing floors, replacing carpets and repainting the entire house. They handled every bid, every contact, we trusted their network and their expertise and all we ever had to do was approve a bid via email, or make payments electronically once work was completed. I've worked with several agents over the years and it wasn't until Scott and Molly that I knew how much work I had previously done during buying and selling. This was a project that involved significant grief and a very special home and Scott and Molly delivered on every count. They helped us understand every step along the way, were very clear & prompt in communicating and we managed to get well over asking in a very tight market. I will sing their praises everywhere I can. Thank you Scott and Molly.

My wife and I started our journey in early 2023 of selling our house, and moving to a different…read morecity to build our retirement house. We began a very thorough research and vetting process to find someone who would be part of our team during this venture. We weren't looking for someone who would just sell our house, but for someone who would be a partner with us to get our house/property ready to sell to maximize the value; guidance in selecting a moving company for the process of packing and moving our household items; tap into their network to assist with locating a rental property in our new city while our house is being built; and overall guidance and support during a very busy and stressful time. After spending a significant amount of time researching and reading reviews of real estate agents, and talking with friends about their experiences with agents on both the buying and selling of houses, I could see a pattern developing where the name of Scott Monroe kept appearing with 5-star reviews. In addition, in more recent reviews over the past 5 years, Molly Kemper's name was mentioned in conjunction with Scott's name so we knew they were a team that was providing exemplary service to their clients. We narrowed down our list to three different real estate agents whom we invited to see our house and meet with them in person to discuss their process in representing a buyer, and see if it would be a good fit for us. We asked a lot of detailed questions, and both Scott and Molly were very professional and thorough in providing us with answers to those questions. After much consideration, and learning more about each of their backgrounds and approaches with selling strategies at Windermere, it became clear that Scotty and Molly were the right partners for us. In addition, they checked the boxes that were important to us: trust, respect, and loyalty. Over the next three months, we were in constant communication with Scott and Molly. Scott and Molly recommended pre-sale inspections, coordinated these, and were on-site to answer any questions. Also, they consulted with us on improvements to the house that would increase the value, or make it so a potential buyer wouldn't feel there were projects to undertake. We never felt like they were just getting us to spend more money to make their jobs easier. As with any home sale, the inspector will find items that need addressing, especially in a house that is a mid-century house. Luckily, we only had a few items to address, and with Scott's background in construction, he came over and fixed the issues himself. Other times Scott came over to lend his expertise as we made a few repairs to the house. Scott and Molly were always just a phone call away to assist us with any items where we needed help. When it came time to stage our house and make it look its best, and to have it professionally photographed, Molly was there every step of the way. The house truly looked better than we expected. Molly really paid attention to all the details which helped maximize the value of the house. Before our house went "live," Scott and Molly were very helpful in discussing with us the right asking price to make sure we weren't leaving money on the table, or too high and missing the market entirely. Once our house was on the market, Scott and Molly were in constant communication with us giving us updates on the open houses, and feedback from potential buyers and their agents. This communication was very helpful in keeping us calm during an anxious time. On the review date, both Scott and Molly were extremely helpful in going through the offers and making recommendations on which offer to accept. The work didn't stop there, as both Scott and Molly were there to coordinate the necessary steps to close the sale. We were very happy with the entire process of working with Scott and Molly, and would highly recommend anyone who is looking to sell or buy a house to meet with them. They are "good and honest people" and we wouldn't hesitate to work with them again.

I don't think there are words that carry enough weight to describe Joey. I found myself in a…read moresituation probably similar to many people a few years ago: in a condo worth less than I owed, taking pay cuts at work due to economic slow down, a real estate market in the tank. I tried several times to take advantage of government programs, my mortgage holders programs, anything to get my mortgage restructured so I could stay in the condo but nothing came through. I was at the end of the road and had resigned myself to going through a foreclosure and trashing my credit for a long time. I told Joey my situation and she recommended we try and short-sale my condo, I was game for anything but very skeptical that it could get done because nothing was selling and the last unit that did sell was woefully low. I told her my reservations and worries and she told me to get her some information, not worry about it, and let her go to work. The process was slow at first but Joey was hustling on my behalf, pretty soon we started to get people trickling in and in a few months we had 4 offers stacked up ready to roll. As soon as I started to get my hopes up that I could get out of this jam the bank came back and said all the offers were too low and gave us the lowest number they would take. I was sure that was the end and I was sunk, Joey kept working on the bank and the buyers until she was miraculously able to get a buyer and the bank to the same number, unbelievable! Then we found out the condo building was too far behind on HOA payments to accept the buyers loan, again Joey came to the rescue and worked out a deal to get enough of the HOA's paid to make the percentages right. Joey was literally the light at the end of a tunnel for me and I am in debt to her forever. More importantly than being an awesome realtor Joey is a super person, honest, down to earth, and trustworthy. I will absolutely work with Joey again and always refer my friends and family to her.

My husband and I were in the market to buy a house in either Mercer Island, Bellevue, or Kirkland…read morebut we were living in San Francisco and were doing most of our looking using real estate apps. We knew that we were going to need an agent to help us because the apps are nothing compared to an experienced agent. We were in Seattle for 4 days to try to find a home that met all of our needs and Joey respected our crunch for time and our budget. We had our two little ones along on the tours for some of the days and Joey was able to help us juggle the kids, too! The tours: Joey had about 30 houses for us to look at in the areas that we were interested in so we were very busy. We had a wide range of sizes and prices so we got a good feel for what our money would buy. Joey didn't rush us one bit. We revisited a few homes once we narrowed our options down and we spent a fair amount of time looking, talking, and looking again. I appreciated the fact that Joey allowed my husband to fully talk over each house and did not insert her opinion until we asked; she kept all of her replies based on resale and the value of the property. Very objective. The offer: Joey was able to very quickly get a home inspector on the property that we decided to make an offer on which was important to us because we had to move fast as others were pre-inspecting the house. We bought in December so that may have something to do with it, but I feel like she treats people well so when she calls, they try to accommodate her. The inspector that she recommended was very thorough and found items that resulted in Joey suggesting that we offer less than asking on a house on Mercer Island. I was nervous about offering less, but Joey read the situation correctly and our offer was accepted. She is a strong negotiator. She looks all sweet on the outside- don't be fooled by that! All of this happened within our 4 day visit. It was a great feeling to fly home to San Francisco knowing that we had an offer accepted on a home. Financial Stuff: Joey recommended that we use Caliber Loans. They are quick, thorough, and well-regarded. (We did come pre-approved so that step was taken care of and made the buying process much faster). Long-Distance Relationship: Joey was very quick to communicate by email, phone, or text whenever we had any questions. Caliber Loans and Joey both sent all papers using Verisign and it was easy to close even though we were in California. She sent our keys overnight with some goodies for the girls (which they loved!). She helped us find a landscaper to keep the property clean until we move in, researched an issue with our new neighbor about a tree in our yard, and she continued to respond quickly to any and all questions that we've had. She has been AMAZING! If you are living out of state and are looking to buy, call her. She makes everything so easy. I know that when we go to sell this house and then buy our next one, Joey will be our realtor.

I wish I had simply fired her and gone with a more reputable agent, but it didn't happen and now I have to deal with the repercussions of ignoring my intuition about her and her brokerage. This is sad, because I ignored somewhat nebulous warnings from others. She promises things she has no intention of following through with, and then stonewalled me when I asked to speak about it. This is not the agent or brokerage you want to work with. She prides herself on "moving fast and getting it done," but there is such a thing as too fast and tomuch dominant energy in a relationship as symbiotic as a real estate agent needs to be with her clients. I asked multiple times to have a witnessed or guided conversation, but she refused. She also refused to use a mediator to get to the heart of both of our needs, so there is nowhere else to go but to warn others to think long and hard before hiring her to represent you in real estate. Finally, I am Latina and I thought she actually understood the power paradigms inherent within white culture, but this has shown the exact opposite.

When we were considering selling our house, Jennifer provided a free market consultation and thoughtfully steered us through staging our house in preparation for putting it on the market. I was impressed by how well she knew the local market and how to maximize value for clients. When we ended up deciding to rent our house instead, she provided helpful advice and access to local resources (even when there was no financial benefit to her!) She continues to be remarkably accessible considering how busy she is, whether I need to know of a good plumber, etc, or have questions about the market. I know from good friends down the street that Jennifer helped them quickly market and sell their home at a great price; what I've seen is how committed she is to clients, even when she's not earning a commission. Jennifer is business savvy, friendly, connected, responsive, and client focused. She will always be our Realtor in Seattle, and she should be yours too!
