Last week I was locked out of the studio because I arrived 3 min late. I think this is really rude and it goes against the yoga philosophy. I understand that respect for others is important, but life sometimes gets in the way and people cannot get there on time-- they just enter the class quietly and that's ok. I had already rearranged my whole schedule to go to that class. Not everybody has complete flexibility. But oh well... I've practiced yoga for over 15 years in other cities and I had never felt these bad vibes. Teachers here are nice and I've enjoyed some classes, but unfortunately heated classes are not my thing. If you are not looking for franchise yoga, I would recommend going to other nice places around town.

However, for such a small space with 3 classes a day offered MAX, no classes on the weekend, and a couple of inexperienced instructors... $100/mo for an unlimited membership is quite steep! I've paid $65/mo at other small private studios with more experienced instructors that offer about 8 classes per day! Just food for thought.

Keep in mind that this is a small one-studio business and NOT a gym. There are (I am assuming quite deliberately) NO mirrors. The interior is very plain...no distractions. The music selection is great and rotated regularly. Rachel is a great dancer and is always smiling. The 9am class is primarily an older group and very welcoming to all ages and body types. The cost of classes is a bit more than a gym membership, but Rachel has a great new client special to try it out before committing.

The closet dancer inside me was thrilled to get a little taste of the various classes they offer: salsa, zumba, and tai chi. They also offer yoga, ballet, jazz, Chinese dance, kung fu, and even hoops (hula hoops, not basketball)!! The instructors are amazing dancers themselves and were friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They were down to earth and made me feel comfortable enough to free the closet dancer. Sino West has an entire separate suite next door dedicated to their kung fu classes.
