I've moved more times than I can count and have always rented a truck and talked a friend or two into helping me. I will never do that again. Lester came out to give me a quote the same day I contacted him. It was a fairly small in-town move from an apartment to a house. His movers showed up 15 minutes early on moving day and had the entire place packed, moved, and set up in the house in right around 90 minutes. That would have taken my friend and I all day. Hopefully I won't have to move again soon, but if I do, I'll call Lester again. read more

I can't say enough great things about this moving company. As I was looking for movers I have interviewed two other movers besides Lester's moving company and decided to go with them. I am so glad that I did!! Lester came to my house and evaluated each room an what I needed moved and where I was moving it to. Then went to the residence where I was moving it to to get a view of where they were putting things and taking things upstairs. Lester was very thorough an assured me that they could get it done no problem. He charges a flat rate fee no matter how long it takes. An the price was great an very reasonable. On the day of the move Lester was there an we had 6 guys helping. They wrapped everything we needed wrapped an boxed up what we didn't get to. They were very careful with everything they moved. We were referred to Lesters Moving by a happy customer but were extremely disappointed in them. The Owner came out and estimated the job for $1350 for a two bedroom single story townhome. He said he thought they could do it with one truck but if not he wouldn't charge more for a second truck. He wasn't able to fit everything and said he had another job to do that day and would have to come back another day. He also said it would be about $300 more for the second load blaming us for having more things than he estimated for which was totally untrue. He was irate and yelling when he unloaded and trying to hurrying his crew. Boxes ended up piled in the middle of the garage and not brought into the house. Furniture wasn't set up again and we had to call family to come help us. Half the load of important boxes was left behind in the garage of the home we moved out of. Before they had even finished unpacking he demanded his money and also stated that the second load would now be another $700. He took advantage of my 80 year old husband and did a very poor job. The second load his crew were given a garage remote which was never returned despite us asking to have it mailed to us. read more

When Lester met with us prior to our local move, he must have repeated at least half a dozen times that he has a 24 foot truck. I'm not a professional mover but 24 feet seemed pretty whimpy for a professional moving company. He quoted us a price and said that if he needed to make an extra trip on the day of the move he would do so. He never mentioned additional cost. Moving day came and it became evident that one trip wouldn't get the job done. Lester kept saying (more like whining) that it would take an extra trip and he needed more money. Whining, whining, whining while his movers were taking doors off of hinges without rehanging them, taking mirrors off a dresses without reattaching them, not setting up our sectional couch even though Lester promised he/they would do so. Lester had other things on his plate...another move that day. He/they were anxious to get the job done and move on to the next one. But that didn't deter Lester from repeatedly mentioning the cost for the extra trip. Don't keep saying that you have a 24 foot truck UNLESS you know that it isn't large enough to get the job done. And DON'T request extra money on the moving day because you have an inadequate truck to get the job done. Lester, buy a bigger truck. If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch. And above all else, don't go adding on extra charges on the moving day because you come poorly equipped to get the job done. If we move in Palm Coast again, we'll find someone else who quotes a figure and then sticks to it. read more

Today, Lester's Moving unpacked our truck and moved us in. They did an outstanding job! Four very strong guys arrived on time and worked very hard, unloading our large furniture and gently putting everything in place. They even agreed to the extra task of moving a piece of furniture to my mom's house, and went over and above to fix the one piece that got dinged (fault of the packers, not Lester's.). Don't use this company. Lester gave me a price of $360 over the phone. Showed up and went off on me that I have too much furniture and that the price would be at least doubled. He said it would take 2 trips in his small truck. Like, why didn't you bring a bigger truck? Very rude, stomping around like a mad man. I told him just the big items, leave the rest. All drawers were already pulled out and moved. No boxes. Just the 3 Pc bedroom + bed, 2 dinning china cabinets. Table was already moved. A small standup piano, a pinball machine, 2 sofas, a love seat and a Murphy bed. He couldn't hear me. Was too busy yelling and dismissing me. Really disliked him. Even one if the guys behind him mouthed "I'm sorry". Never deal with him, I guess unless you're Russian too and a man. He has no respect for women!
