Out of the blue one afternoon my wife and I heard a loud THUMP that reverberated throughout the house. I went out and saw no fallen tree branch or anything else that could've caused such a noise, but then I tried opening the garage door and noticed the opener seized up after lifting it about a foot off the ground. Did some googling and discovered that the torsion spring (assists in opening and closing) above the door had snapped. Called Lester's as they'd last worked on our garage almost a decade ago when we replaced the original door that came with the house. They accommodated our request for early one morning ASAP. Nick arrived and rapidly replaced the spring and also lubed up the door hinges to help the opener have an easier time. The only hassle was my own fault as I had to scramble to clear the clutter around the door so he could work. Door's fixed, all is well. Would definitely recommend! read more

Staff was incredibly knowledgable and friendly, letting me know what they were doing and what things would cost, even giving me alternatives that suited my budget. After getting my springs replaced, they even reached back out a week later to check on how everything was and reminded me of my warranties so I could be comfortable and confident in the services they provided. read more

Great company, great service, great advice. Mark was excellent. Don't believe you will be disappointed.

Everyone was very friendly. They were quick to make an appointment with and the technician was on time. He called to discuss the issue before fixing it. They did a great job fixing my garage key pad. I would definitely recommend them and will use them in the future again if needed read more

Prompt, professional and knowledgeable . They are the best. Their prices are fair and reasonable.

Got a quote over the phone through text message from this company instead of them sending someone to come look at the doors. Sent pictures to the guy and he wanted $150 for moving a piece of plywood located above the doors for storage. The quote was $2,000 above what a contractor on thumbtack quoted me and did not provide me with any alternative cheaper options. Seemed like they were giving me a **** you price for some reason. Went with the contractor on thumbtack and saved a ton of money. read more

Work was excellent with replacing the springs. Tech seemed to be in a bad mood though. When he arrived I told him that just 3 weeks ago I had thoroughly cleaned the tracks and lubed all hinges and rollers. I later found him spraying all the hinges so reminded him that I had already done that. The bill for spring repair and "serviced the garage" was $450. When I pointed out I shouldn't be charged for servicing the door he argued that that was his labor cost (though "labor" was written elsewhere). I was disappointed with the tech, who seemed annoyed and distant from the time he arrived, then was unable to professionally discuss a billing issue. He was, put simply, rude. I was certainly overcharged for spring replacement , or charged for a door service I had declined, and will not be using Lester's again. read more

GREAT EXPERIENCE. . ! Everyone I dealt with at Lester's went above and beyond getting my garage door replaced. I'm in California, and needed to replace the garage door on the house we purchased for my son to live in while he is attending the University of Florida. Mark was great and kept in close communication with us from start to finish. All of the staff at Lester's were so accommodating in making this happen from across the country, I just can't say enough good things about my experience with Lester's, other than to recommend them for any of your garage door needs. Once the job was completed, the handwritten thank you note we received from them was an extra added touch of what a great business this is. read more

My garage door got out of alignment and wouldn't close properly. Mark at Lester's Garage Doors promptly came by. He quickly identified the problem and remedied it. Timely and excellent service! read more

Quick response time, quick repair and very friendly! I'll be calling Lester's for any future garage door needs!

My garage door opener was not wanting to work and I suspected based on the length of time I had it that I might need a new one. Surprise! Bobby the technician found that it only needed a starting capacitor and some adjustments and he did them instead of telling me I needed a new one like I am sure some of the companies would have. Thanks for being honest. I appreciate both the honesty and being able to get this done the next day after calling on a Monday morning. read more

Professional and friendly service, every time. We've used them for both repair and now replacement of our 27 year old door. They replaced both the door and motor quickly and competently. The door selections were plenty, and we got a design that was special and has gotten notice. All of the staff we came into contact with were smart and answered all our questions. read more

I've only had a chance to use Lester's on one occasion, but it was a professional and friendly experience at a reasonable price, and I would certainly contact them again for any garage door issues I have in the future. Briefly - after about 15 years, my RPM sensor on the motor had gone out. Normally this is an easy fix, but the particular model I had was long ago replaced with a newer model, and parts could not be had. In short, the entire motor had to be replaced. I contacted Lester's and they came to the same conclusion independently - they weren't trying to offer fixes or repairs I didn't need. The price to replace the entire motor (as well as the spring which at this point was also about 15 years old) was in total roughly $400. The guy who diagnosed the problem and worked on it was a friendly man named Mark. He was glad to explain any questions I had about garage doors and worked efficiently to finish the job in one morning's time. He also gave several pointers and tips regarding garage door maintenance. It is now almost a year later and the door has been working great. I'd like to point out one more thing - they not only have a good website, but a good facebook page as well. There are a number of tips on their facebook page, and while there isn't much in the way of discussion I get the impression that they would certainly be willing to answer questions people might have. If you are looking for garage door work, I would highly recommend contacting Lester's. read more

I called Lester's Garage Doors after hours on a Thursday and received a call back promptly the next morning at 7am. An appointment was set the following Monday to add a brace to the upper panel of a garage door that sagged badly when opened. Lester's Garage Doors is courteous and professional. Received a call Monday 7am to remind of that day's appointment and received another call from the service technician in the early afternoon before he departed for our home. The technician arrived with the needed hardware, and the job was done inside 30 minutes. The savings in time and worry was well worth what I paid for the job. I highly recommend Lester's Garage Doors and would use them again any time! read more

The garage door installer arrived on time with a phone call a few minutes before. He removed the old door and installed the new one in about 2 hrs including the remote key pad. He was very personable but concentrated on the work to be done. He explained the permit procedure before leaving. Great job! He even provided me with the low can of lubricant to use in the future! Thanks for a job well done! read more

If you are having troubles with your garage door opener and are even marginally handy, do not call these people, unless you like tossing away $80 a pop. All you need is a ladder, a couple screw drivers and the willingness to spend 15-20 mins on the phone trouble shooting with the manufacturer. I made the mistake of calling Lester 's 1st because of the glowing online reviews... Their tech showed up 30 mins late, no apology, and had a bad attitude. The guy couldn't even bother ringing the door bell. He calls me on the phone to tell me "he is waiting in my driveway." WT Hell! Nice person I am I let him in, should have sent him home right there and then, and proceeds to test the capacitor and motor. Tells me is the motor and calls the manufacturer on "my behalf", hangs up and tells me "I need to call them myself and to call his shop again to make an appointment to install the new unit, for another $40, when I get one in." Pow!!! 20 minutes, $80 bucks. Nice... Turns out Genie doesn't trust these guys and "prefers for the owner to call and troubleshoot the unit themselves." I ended up doing just that and determined the motor was still under warranty (love Genie), and they would send me a replacement unit. My cost, $ 15 for shipping. They also said to call them back so they could walk me through the installation. Four days later I get the replacement unit, it even came with a new wall opener and called them up. 30 mins later it all works like a charm. Total time spent, 1 hour. They even coached me through reprogramming the outside keypad. Moral of the story, call the manufacturer first. You'll save money, spare yourself the attitude/agravation and will learn something new. read more

Lester's was recommended to me and I'm glad to have done business with them. Never a good time for a garage door to break. Spoke with Mark, Nick came out and our garage was back in service. Courteous and very efficient. Great experience! read more

So our double garage door spring broke Sunday and the door buckled. Called Lester's on Monday morning and they not only gave me a quote from a photo I texted but the owner came by and got our vehicle out. Two days later we had a new garage door. Very courteous and efficient employees too. We were so impressed we had them replace the single garage door also. read more

Excellent service, professional work, and flexibility working around my schedule. After a poor-quality installation from a big box store, they were able to jump in and get everything perfect for a fair price. read more

Fix our garage door! We were trapped when the main coil snapped. Almost pulled my back trying to lift it on my own. Called to have it repaired and they showed up within an hour! Mark was here early, did the job in lightning speed and even helped tighten up and lube up our current door. I didn't even know our garage door could sound so quiet! He even helped us track down the correct weather strip for our door and walked me through how to do it myself if I wanted to. He found some other things on the door that could use improvement and did that at no extra cost. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND what we asked him to do. It was so good of a service that my wife and I dug through the house to find enough dollar bills to give him a tip. I've never been so delighted after any service.. it was that good! Would certainly use them again and would specifically ask for Mark! read more

Great service, quick, efficient and not a budget breaker, good prices.

I just had Lester's Garage Doors out to replace our old doors and install new garage door openers. Eddie and Ed did a fantastic job start to finish. This is the kind of company that really goes above and beyond. Our old garage doors were a mess, the sensors barely worked. Eddie had the sensors replaced right away, so our door would function, while we waited for our new doors to come in after ordering. They even made sure my car's opener worked with the new opener before they left. I cannot say enough good things about them. They really know what they are doing, and get the job done right. I highly recommend this company. read more

The condo staff where I live let this company into my house to do installation when I was at work.
