The facilities were also poorly designed. The only showers are located near the heated pool, steam room, and sauna, so you're sweating again immediately after trying to rinse off. Basic amenities were lacking. No brushes or bags were available unless you went searching, and the space lacked the little touches you'd expect from a luxury spa. While my full body massage was the only redeeming part of the visit, my friend had a not so great experience. We booked an additional $300 in foot massages in the salt cave (on top of our $200 full body treatments), only to find out that it was not going to be done by massage therapists, but nail technicians. They were very nice, but there was no real pressure or technique. It felt like a total waste of money. You should really disclose that. We also ordered a bottle of Moscato and weren't allowed to keep it at our table. We had to go find someone just to get a refill. This was a $750 visit that didn't feel luxurious in the slightest. If you're looking for a real spa experience, I highly recommend going to the Houstonian instead. The massage was very relaxing and I appreciated the essential oil treatment which made the experience even more serene. After my massage I spent a little more time in the quiet room enjoying refreshments. I definitely recommend Woodhouse for solo, couples, or groups.
