I began dealing with East Texas Title Company in Tyler, Texas back in July, 2025 when my mother…read moregifted me the deed to her house. I noticed, after my mother gave me the Gift Deed that is showed an incorrect property address. I have been arguing with Avonli, the receptionist for the past two months about whose fault it is. For some reason, the title company has put Avonli in charge of running the whole show, but being just a receptionist, she's not licensed to be giving me advise and in addition to giving me incorrect advise, she has repeatedly lied to me. She blames my mother for incorrectly filling out their Walk-In form used to transfer information to create the Gift Deed whereas I blame the title company because after reviewing the Walk-In form, I told her that wasn't my mother's handwriting. Originally she told me that I wouldn't have to pay to have a correction deed drawn up, but then she changed her mind and now wants to charge me $530 in addition to the $200 my mother already paid them for the original, incorrect deed. I know when I'm being played and I don't appreciate being treated in such an unprofessional way. And the title company has things set up to where you cannot e-mail anyone in the company because when you do, the e-mail is returned as undeliverable. Another thing, I have told Avonli that I wanted to speak with Diana Perez who is the Manager, but she won't allow me to. And yesterday I tried to send an e-mail to Cecia Flowers who is the Owner, but it came back as undeliverable. Is this how they would want to be treated if an error occurred on their document(s)?

Contacted a realtor at this office to see a house via email, he proceeded to text me and was very…read moreabrupt with his responses even leaving out answers to questions I had. Two weeks after hearing from him, he text me, without leaving a name or any information as to who he was asking if I was still interested in a particular house. Obviously, while house hunting I had seen numerous locations and spoken with numerous agents, so I had no idea what he was referring to. I let him know that I didn't know what house they meant to which the rude reply was 'If you aren't interested just say not interested.' At least this time he left his name at the end of the message- Bobby Carter. Don't use this agent. He is rude and obviously has no interest in working with someone who would be a good tenant (military family).
