The folks behind the counter were helpful in guiding us through the menu and genuinely meant it when they said they'd make anything right if it fell short. Food came out quickly and fresh. The standout was the Le Normand burger, topped with andouille and camembert. Mouthwateringly good, and an easy recommendation. My wife's croque-monsieur was solid, though she felt it could have used more meat. Overall a pleasant stop. Worth dropping in if you're in the area.

My friend got the burger while I got the panini in an effort to be healthier. Just do yourself a favor and get the burger instead, the panini was good but the burger was even better. The tomato/bacon reduction on top really put this burger over the top. Most of the other restaurants we googled in the area had incredibly high prices and not so great food. This was the perfect pit stop while museum hopping.

Stopped in at the last minute with no reservation, on a quick stopover in La Havre. Found the owner…read moreoperator, Patrick, EXTREMELY nice. He didn't speak English well but much better than our French. He worked sooo hard to accommodate us, even with our broken-language. He worked so hard to meet our requests for food, drinks, and WiFi. We arrived after 8:30 on a Friday night and found a small table in the back. There were games stacked on a table behind us as if the place was a 20-something all-hours hang out. The burgers are quality, with the perfect French touch. We discovered after we ordered that we could have custom built our burgers. The ones we ordered off the menu were tasty with a large portion of fries. The fries are classic English chips, solid in that regard. In summary, the burger and fries were solid, tasty and filling. But I found the charming grace of this joint to be the operator. He was special. I recommend to anyone looking for a quick, informal, inexpensive burger meal.

And everything is reasonably priced for my university student budget. It came with fries and the restaurant provided plenty of sauces for the food. Two of my friends got the falafel and the owner brought extra falafel for the table. It was so much better than falafel you can get in bigger places. The owner told us the story of his home town in Syria, after which the restaurant is named, and it was touching to be able to talk to him.

Like pretty much all McDonalds in the world, this is pretty standard in Europe, so no refills on drinks since there is no drink machine. When I entered, I immediately went to the kiosk to make my order. I was surprised at the selection. Much more vast than what could be found in the US. A slice a pineapple was available as well as plant based burgers. I made my order and got the receipt. Took about 7 minutes to get my order. And it was packed real nicely. Even the drink was packed so that everything was placed in one bag. No need for a separate drink carrier. The staff were friendly and spoke some English, at least enough to tell me that my order was ready. The restaurant itself was clean and well kept. Definitely worth going to if you want to save a bit of money on your trip.
