A group of us ladies had lunch together on a Tuesday afternoon. Admittedly, I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful everything was.
First - Atmosphere. The location and ambiance are both stellar. Located on a side street in lovely Aurignac, the restaurant sits atop a hill with sweeping views of the Pyrénées and rolling hills. Every table has a view including outdoor tables for warmer days. A definite must visit in the summer.
Second - Food. The food was extremely yummy. There were several options on the eclectic menu but we all opted for the same thing; a chicken schnitzel with a creamy cheese sauce. It was sort of like chicken parm but no tomato sauce. They have several hot sides salad bar style, like roasted tomatoes, couscous, potatoes, etc. I only had the couscous but it was light and fluffy. We split a bottle of a wonderful Rosé. The best part of the meal was desserts (as it should be). We all had the sticky toffee pudding, which was well-spiced, warn, runny and so, so good.
Last - Service. Service was wonderful. Kind, helpful and attentive.
I will definitely return here but will bring my husband.
