Sixth months of pain thanks to this office's negligence…read more Going to this dentist resulting in me probably needing a root canal. I came in to get some simple fillings done, and I'm now saddled with hundreds of dollars of bills, to pay for procedures that screwed up my teeth. The doctors left (with full knowledge) overhangs on both of my fillings. This means that whenever I flossed, the floss would catch on the fillings and pull on them. The dentist informed me that this was normal and I would just need to pull through my floss for the rest of my life. After a month of pain, I went back to ask why the fillings still hurt. They took x-rays, shaved one of them down a little bit, and told me the other was fine and I should go home. I developed hot and cold sensitivity. I finally visited another dentist with 30+ years experience. I've now learned that purposely leaving overhangs on fillings is absolutely not normal, and that what they've done is careless at best. I saw the x-rays myself this time, and you can clearly see the sharp, jagged overhang's that were left after the fillings were put in. I've also learned that One of the filling simply broke because of the way that they left the overhangs. Until I've had over $700 in dentistry bills, and six months of dismissed pain. I know I will likely need a root canal in one of the teeth, and I needed to get both fillings replaced. This place looks great on the outside. The customer service is excellent. However, I would caution anyone against blindly trusting that this office knows what they're doing.

I've seen both Docs. They are great! This is a first class group. Highly recommend!…read more Dan

They are both…read moremeticulous, caring, eager to explain every step they are taking, why that step is needed, and what the goals are. Most recently, I am having to replace a crown and add a tooth to my partial. Dr. Jason, a UW Dental School Grad, goes the extra mile to include me, patiently explaining every detail of the procedures. I was in the chair for nearly two hours. That broken crown tooth required some work. Plus, I had another tooth filled. And I got comforting pats on the shoulder and "You're doing great," the whole time. But there's more. Factoria Dental Care receptionist/bookkeeper, Monica is simply awesome. Friendly, and like Dr. Jason, eager to assist in any way she can. She went over the proposed cost of the procedures to be done. And showed me the description of each step and the estimated cost of that step. She emailed me the next day to see how I was doing! I felt like royalty during the entire visit.

Dr. Park was professional and kind as well, although I didnt feel like the dental cleaning was super in depth (felt maybe a little too quick) but hopefully that's because my teeth were cleaner than usual? Just didnt seem like my usual cleanings I've gotten at other places where they get deep in there and are taking their time with each tooth. I also mentioned some recent sensitivity with certain teeth, but she didn't say anything about it after cleaning, just that I had no cavities. It was my first time there but hopefully it was cleaned well enough I dont have anything to return for anytime soon!

I've only had two dentists growing up and due to my main dentist being booked for a year out, I decided to go here in the meantime. It was horrific. I walked out crying with my gums throbbing. I couldn't eat for several hours after. I went to Dr. Sarah Park. During the visit she claimed I had "dead cavities" and to book the next appointment for that, but because of the painful experience I just left. She was fast and didn't seem to care about her work and delivering quality cleaning. She used the drilling machine the entire time. The drilling machine constantly hit my gums and I would winched multiple times yet she did not stop at any point to ask if I was ok or to give me a breather. I was just a nameless patient in and out and that was it. My family dentist would mainly use manual tools and occasionally use the drill. Always pleasant and comfortable yet great cleaning. And yes, I've learned my lesson, I'm not going anywhere else but him.

Dr. Sung is very knowledgable and passionate about his work. His care team is very knowledgable as well and they work very efficiently to the handle the different types of patients. They made Hawley retainer for me during the recent visits. When I first tried them on, I felt something is not right. It was way too tight but Dr. Sung mentioned it is because my teeth moved during the three weeks while the retainers were being made. (I followed his recommendation to wear my old retainers during those time, but I was still blamed for the very tight fit.) Something might have gone wrong while taking the impression since gum part was not even fitting, but all the blames were on me. I could not take out the retainer that night and had to really force it out the next day. I requested for the adjustment and he adjusted it for me by grinding acrylic part, which made it a bit easier to take it on and off, but I really felt something was not right, as it was shaking all my teeth and metal part was not in between the teeth, and acrylic did not fit the shape of my teeth. He told me I will get used to it, and said some people don't raise any issue and wear the ones that were given and I am being sensitive. He even told me maybe the lack of nutrition due to pregnancy is making me sensitive. I felt he was blaming everything possible on me, but I trusted it will maybe fit better as I wear them and be ok, so I wore the retainer for a week. It still didn't feel right and my teeth hurt much more and more as I wore it, instead of getting used to them. I got it checked by my dentist (not Dr. Sung) during the regular check-up. I was told the retainer is not made correctly. All the concerns I raised to Dr. Sung that he said were all good turned out to be the right concerns since they were all faulty and I was told the retainers were obviously not made correctly. My dentist told me it will harm my teeth and it is not doing any function for retaining teeth, so I should not wear them. Adjusting it further will not fix the retainers. Things can go wrong and I understand. But, my interaction with Dr. Sung was not pleasant at all. The retainers which he said he would give the score of 100/100, turns out to be just faulty and I felt my concerns were not really heard as everything possible were blamed on me. I felt I wasted my time and money.
