I bought a motorhome from them that came with a lifetime warranty. I'm in a position now where the jacks are only halfway up and they want me to drive this 82 miles back to them with the jacks halfway up so that they can fix it and it'll be covered under the warranty. This is ridiculous! It clearly states that if I have a problem, I call them if I'm out on the road and they set something up with a mobile mechanic to at least get me going however they're telling me they can't reimburse me for a mobile mechanic so if I'm out somewhere on a trip and it breaks down, I'm screwed. The lifetime warranty is nothing but a sales gimmick to get you to buy from them. Stay away from this Scam business. You've been warned. read more

I purchased my used camper from them in February of 2025 paid in full in cash so of course they really didn't want to offer me the warranty because it was paid in full, my ride home half of the lenses for the lights flew off then realized most of them were cracked. The first camping trip I did was in June of 2025 when I found out the hot water heater didn't work on electric, there's a water link in the slide out, and an handful of other issues, I called Leo's service department where I was basically told oh well not my problem, but if u bring it in we will look at it and find out how much it would cost to repair. We bought an inTech Sol Dawn and we need warranty service on a Dometic refrigerator as the unit that came with the camper has ceased to work. They are a recommended service provider by Dometic. Not only did they tell my husband who tried to make an appointment with them they woudn't service our unit (the reason they gave is we did not buy it from them....more about that later), but they told Dometic that they will not service it. Leo's is a authorized service provider on Dometic's site! This is a bad policy on their part, especially since anyone could need service. Good service often breeds more business, especially when it comes to sales. Worse than that though, we have been strongly considering upgrading to a Dusk or Willow, however since they won't care for us here, we will not even CONSIDER them for a future sale! My father worked with Leo Merkel back in the day....lol, I knew him! Wonder how he would feel about his name being degraded in such a way. And my *more about that later*? We originally went to Leo's to BUY this camper cash....they did not have it. The young man we talked to took our name down and told us we would hear from him. We bought our camper April of last year because we got tired of waiting for the person to phone.....figured they didn't have any to sell. Guess what? Have YET to hear from anyone from Leo's. We weren't that important I guess. I threw the card away just recently when I cleaned house. If you look at my reviews, it takes a lot for me to write anything less than three stars....there are a few, but not many. There are only a few inTech dealers around and we ended up in PA and not by choice. We were serious about buying one and ours was a cash sale. We are also serious about an upgrade, but it won't be here. Their website was very helpful with useful information about each unit along with many pictures of the inside/outside. I narrowed my selection down to 4 units and decided to visit their lot for an in person look. After touring these trailers, I made my selection and it was on to the sales/finance department. I feel that i was given an excellent value for my trade and I'm very happy with the sale price of the new unit. My walkthrough prior to delivery was perfect without any issues. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I just need to share what I've experienced with Leo's. I purchased a new RV from here earlier this year, against advice from friends who were only recommending Beckely's. Well, lesson learned the hard way. The service department is unprofessional, they lied about what they had done, weren't helpful in the very least (including the manager Bob), zero communication between service techs and myself (also, called over and over for days, phone wasn't even answered when they were open). The complaints that I have for this place are endless when it comes to this visit for service on my awning that broke (poorly designed). My RV was there for three and a half weeks, and they had only filled the propane tanks! I don't live close by so until I was able to make the ride down there, phone was my only option. No one kept me updated on what was going on with the awning replacement, only to be told a couple of weeks after they had it that it wasn't covered under the warranty I had purchased. They were aware that we had a camping trip scheduled but remained ignorant in regards to all the time wasted with it just sitting there. After being told that the awning wasn't covered, I requested it to be removed (temporarily, so we could keep our camping trip). I'd have time after the trip to figure out how to go about getting a new one installed because they pushed it until ONE DAY before we were leaving, so clearly there was now no time to have it replaced even if I agreed and wanted to pay for it out of pocket due to their ignorance. The quality of work that was done is bottom tier. They had just globbed something in the holes very poorly and messy, which looks like complete sh*t now. The manager Bob had a poor attitude about the entire situation. He wasn't returning my calls either after waiting for days, although I was told he was there. I recommend going anywhere other than Leo's for purchasing and service. You can't go wrong with Beckley's, and that's where I'll be taking my business from here on out. This entire situation was so unprofessional and unacceptable. I'll be sure to spread the word of my horrible experience with Leo's to hopefully help anyone not make the same mistake I did. read more

As far as sales goes the team was very helpful but was not versed to the level I think they should have been on the product they were selling. This was very obvious when the sales person did not know the basic difference between PVC, TPO, and EPDM roofing systems. Service is absolutely terrible. Over the 3.5years I have had my rig that I bought new from Leos, it has sat for long periods of time on Leos repair lot. It was not due to parts not being on hand but mostly that they do not have the staff and proper scheduling to handle things in an appropriate time. Forget trying to get them on the phone, that only happens if you are lucky. Most importantly, of the 20+ manufacture defects I have had, they properly repaired 10% or less. Generally speaking they have a decent parts area, but all their parts are commodity and significantly over priced. In some cases you can get the same part for 60% of their price at a big box store or online. And finally, the reason I have given their warranty such a low rating is that they are generally ALL excuses. When a manufacture defect is found, Leos will not fix it under warranty unless the manufacturer agrees to pay for it. It was really hard to get through their heads that I bought the rig from them not the manufacturer, since they are a "RESELLER". If you do have a problem that will hit warranty, the service director seemed to somehow blame everything on "water damage" or "user error" or some other obtuse thing so Leos does not have to pony up for the problem. It got very aggravating after a while since I felt like I lived there since the KZ Venture Stratus SR261VRK I bought new from them is an utter lemon. read more

We purchased our 3rd RV from them in December 2023, a previously owned unit. We were told that they do thorough inspections and the RV was in good working order. On all 4 camping trips this year, there have been issues with the unit. Ran out of gas on the first night (tanks were supposed to be filled). We have never run our of gas over 30 years of camping. The awning has holes across the entire length which was not disclosed to us. Other issues that were supposed to have been addressed were not done. Beware of the service department! read more

Two things, first we were in the market for an RV, and while shopping came upon Leo's. 1. Their customer service is fantastic! 2. Their selection is amazing. 3. They are honest and trustworthy. We put a deposit on an RV and ordered it. It is not Leo's fault that in the end, the company we bought from was very slow in delivering the RV. More than two months late in the end. Leo's has a bad reputation among much of the RV'ing community around here. I also know that first hand because I unfortunately made the mistake of purchasing my Class A from Leo's. When I purchased the unit I had problems on my first trip because that is when I did my test run. Unfortunately one of the problems I had was a major problem and I spent several days which turned into years having them work on the unit trying to fix something they had no idea how to service. A certified tech was supposed to work on it and Leo's did not have any. Not to mention on my first trip I contacted them to see how to get the problem to work and they treated me like I was an idiot because I couldn't understand some of the things they were talking about. As it turns out the owners manual that was in the RV was not the correct owners manual to the equipment with the problem. Been trying for 7 years now to get it fixed properly and now I have to pay a bunch of money to get it repaired. They say the are the home of the lifetime warranty but please do not be a fool to think that is true. I understand things happen but its all about how a company deals with problems and their shortcomings. Leo's doesn't have the want or the desire to do the right thing. All they want to do is charge you for what they can and find a way to blame the problem on operator error - you either did something wrong or you didn't take it in like you were supposed to - they have that 90 day thing and with their repair appointments being so far out you know where that goes. We found our dream camper at Leo's, the only issue was we were 500 miles away in NH. Sarah P. was awesome in negotiating a very generous offer for the purchase long distance over email and the phone before we flew down to see the unit in person. Everyone that we met in person and virtually was spectacular! When we flew down to see the the camper, Mike chauffeured us from and to the airport and John patiently walked us out of state newbies through all of our questions and concerns. When we returned to this week to take delivery of the camper, again, everyone was simply stellar! We just can't say enough good things about this dealership and its people! We drove more than an hour and a half to see a travel trailer that my husband had seen three weeks prior. I get that the RV business is booming right now, but seriously it was like they wanted me to beg them to take my money!!! We were barely greeted when we arrived and they seemed wholly uninterested in showing us anything!!! It was the worst customer service experience we've had in MD thus far. And their lifetime warranty means nothing, because believe me if their service is this had on the sales side, I shutter to think what a service experience would be like. We had cash in the bank from the sale of our old travel trailer and were ready to buy, but they couldn't be bothered. So we looked ourselves (saw one trailer) and left. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! First I will say yes we did, and yes we did AGAIN! Because it was convenient and they had exactly what I wanted. BUT if I could give a negative rating I certainly would! The service is by far the WORST I have ever encountered. Currently our camper is there for warranty service and has been there for coming up on 6 months! I have not heard one word from them nor have I received a call back to my messages. We have literally taken our camper in 3 times for the same problem and they keep fixing it the SAME way and this last time the said yes its a manufacture defect. Thanks finally! From the beginning of this purchase until now this has been nothing short of a s**t show! They have given us the run around so much at the beginning they gave us 500 in store credit and delivered the camper to us. None of that excuses their entire process. They are not nice even when you are buying. They rush you through looking at what you are interested in purchasing, then they want want want from you so they can make that sale, even in financing you get attitude if you do not take all their coverages. Then to spend 2+ hours doing a walk through when they know there are numerous issues. Hey I have idea be proactive and try to get the things fixed you know are wrong. Then as many have expressed as soon as you walk out they act like they are too busy for you! Its a real shame something can not be done to make this a much more pleasant experience but unfortunately I don't see that happening anytime soon with this place! I had a great experience with the gentlemen at the parts department. I desperately needed a a reverse flush valve for my RV. I called every Walmart, Lowe's, and Home Depot within a 15 mile radius and none of them had it in stock online or in-store. None of the camping departments had even heard of it. Leo's came through in the best way. The gentleman I spoke with told me they had 4 different options. He even brought them up to the counter and held them for because I was in a hurry to get my RV ready to go. Service was quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. They also offered a 10% military discount! I grabbed a copy of their free catalog showing the parts they carry on my way out the door. Just goes to show you that locally-owned businesses still have a strong leg up on the big box stores. Worst RV dealership to include Holiday World and previous Craigslist rv experience. We specified and paid to hold the unit and were in contact daily with a great salesperson Philip Tucker "Phil". The unit was a 2011 Open Range 340 with a patio option. A very rare unit within the travel trailer series. The issue was that we traveled from Houston, Texas to Gambrills, Maryland. A long trip to say the least. We arrived at the rv dealership March 16, 2017 at 2am to complete the walk through scheduled at 3pm. The unit was in disrepair that the owner/manager "Bob" sent it for auction right then and there to escape any possible liabilities when we brought up its true condition. As any RVer that has ever camp or been in a recreational vehicle, the most crucial feature in one is the structural integrity and true condition of its components. The stock and inventory of this dealership is plague with water damage and rust. The whole time, the manager Bob did not address the issue, apologize or spoke with us. We even decided to get any other unit that had our requests features/amenities. We filtered down to two rvs so our trip would not be in vain. They informed us that they won't be able to sell us either of them given that they won't be able to prep the unit in time and we will have to wait Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and then final Tuesday evening. It is unacceptable in every aspect. We had to commute 23 hrs back without a single apologize from Bob for the complete waste of our time. Be extremely weary on purchasing a unit from this dealership. Management does not stand by their employee' actions or products. read more

We bought 2 RV's from Leo's. During the sales process they are very responsive; they want to sell you that RV. However, their service is another issue. They sell you on the "warranty for life". But when you make an appointment for service they give you a day and time. You take your RV and they tell you they are really busy and won't be able to get to your RV for a few days or even a few weeks!!!! Knowing this we bought a 2nd RV from them because they were close to home and had a 5th wheel we liked. Unfortunately this RV was struck by a tree and needed repair. We called Leo's to make an appointment. They only had openings 3 months away. I sent pictures of the damage and got an email from the service manager stating that they were unable to perform service on our RV "at this time". They were not even willing to look at it. We found 2 other repair facilities willing to look at our RV and give a counter estimate totaling the RV to the insurance company. The RV was ultimately totaled and a check issued for the value of the unit. We have since purchased another 5th wheel from another dealer that according to the reviews puts their customers ahead of non customers for service. If you are looking for service stay away from Leo's. We no longer plan to use Leo's for our RV needs read more

They're great while your buying an expensive motorhome, but as soon as you drive it off the lot the entire picture changes. It is impossible to get your new vehicle (or towable, presumably, but we purchased a new Winnebago motorhome from them) serviced. No matter what time of year you call, they're always booked for six months out. We were going to buy from a dealer near Frederick, but figured it would be easier to get service from a dealer closer to our house. Well, that's the general logic that you'll often read when getting RV buying advice, but obviously it only works if the dealer in question cares about you once you walk off the lot. Leo's does not. After going to the RV show in Orlando in January 2021, we decided to purchase a travel trailer to escape the chaos of 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic. With lots of questions, we walked into LEO's Vacation Center and were quickly introduced to Mike. The camper we wanted to see was sold and being stored at their overflow lot a few miles away. It was clear that once camper is sold, they don't usually let people tour them. Mike pulled some strings and got us into the camper and it was clear that while he was doing all he could for us, he also truly cared about the family who purchased the camper (even though it was not his customer) because he was very careful to ensure we took our shoes off before we toured the sold unit. We loved the camper, placed an order for a new unit, and submitted a deposit. After heading home and talking it over, we decided we were being a little over zealous going with a 37' trailer for our first camper and decided to cancel our order. Nervous about how he would respond, we called Mike but he quickly quelled our fears. His immediate response, "no worries, your deposit is refundable, if there's something else you like, we can roll your deposit right over". We must have gone to the dealership three or four times to look at different campers and got the same service every time, Mike never got tired of us and was always happy to help. He even gave us his cell phone phone number so it was easier to get ahold of him. Once we decided on a camper (Sol Horizon), we placed an order and it came in just a few weeks later. Now here's where it gets even better.... The week the camper came in, our neighbors house (townhome), burned to the ground and our home suffered major smoke damage. As a result, we were displaced and had to stay in a hotel for 5 weeks. Suddenly, our 2021 camping plans were pushed to the side to deal with an insurance claim, demolition, construction, etc. I called Mike and informed him that we were not going to be available to finalize our purchase and pickup our camper. Past performance proved to be an excellent predictor of future behavior. Mike was not only understanding, he was supportive and offered to hold and store the camper as long as it took to get our lives back together. A few weeks later, we stopped in to sign the paperwork but still didn't have the time to deal with picking it up and taking it home. Mike spoke with his manager and offered to store our camper on their overflow lot until we had time to deal it. As our first camping trip approached, I started to question my preparedness and sent Mike a text message asking him for his thoughts on a few things and almost immediately, received very informative response from Mike. He recommended some necessities and reminded me that he was was "here to help". Service after the sale is something that I find to be extremely important. After all, anyone can sell something, I think we all know that. The true "caring" test is how someone responds to you after they've been paid. If that's important to you, I highly recommend calling Mike Short at Leo's. He's knowledgeable, responsive, and patient. If it means anything to you, I rarely recommend things. The people that work there are great but they lack the repair facilities to even come close to the amount of repairs for the RV's they sell. This is clearly the owners fault, they have not invested in the buildings or staff needed to service the RV's they sell. I was told by the Service Department that they were preparing for a local trade show and could not schedule the appointment until the middle of April. I originally bought a used 2010 Keystone Outback Sydney Edition 5th wheel from Leo's Vacation Center in November 2015. I went into the dealership as a newbe knowing nothing of the shark's tank RV sales can be? I didn't know what to look for in either new or used RV's so I trusted my salesperson and Leo's management for guidance. At my age I really should've known better, but I learned quickly after Leo's was gracious enough to deliver the 5th wheel to my campsite. At Indian Acres Club Campground in Thornburg, VA.. Upon the inspection of an experienced IAC neighbor I found my 5th wheel had cracked leaking skylight, and other roof rear end roof leaks due to an accident that must have occured to the previous owner? And must have clearly been noted by one of the managers who took the 5th wheel in on trade. As I am inexperienced I was easy bait to pawn off damaged goods too. In all fairness Leo's did "eventually" send a tech out to repair my 5th wheel's damage. Which they would like me to feel grateful for? I see it as they needed to back up their products , gratitude has little role to play in it. My business is earned as should be yours the customer. My advice: buy new from Leo's. If you buy used do your homework first! Leo's doesn't like taking in too many used 5th wheels I strongly suspect? And if they get a too many they'll get rid of 'em any way they can. If it's at your expense no problem. They'll also try to sell you on their "famous" extended warranty. Do your homework guys, all dealers offer extended warranties. Best bet is to buy through "Good Sam Club", as you'll be covered every and anywhere in the U.S.. Again readers all dealerships claim "honesty', "family run business", etc.. But trust me it's a sharks tank like any other sales venue... DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE SHOWING UP AT ANY DEALERSHIP!! read more

Leo's Vacation Center is a great place for the sale, but once the sale is completed, the experience changes. Service is terrible, called in Sep, earliest appoint in Jan. Took the RV in in Jan for service and warranty repairs, had to vehemently complain to get vehicle back for June trip and all work not completed. Vehicle batteries had been allowed to drain completely over the winter. Some good service technicians but the service facility is set up for failure, too small for the business they do. Takes at least 4 months to get an appoint if you are lucky. Had one tech tell me the problem I was having with A/C units was impossible. Found they had taken the thermostat control units out of the new RV, apparently to troubleshoot a used RV, and didn't bother to put the new units back, but put the used units in the new RV and didn't bother to configure the jumpers properly. I found the problem and corrected it. They were uninterested when I showed them the dirty units and refused to replace them. Problems were not corrected after the first service and it takes multiple months to get the service rescheduled. I will not be going back for follow on service or future sales. read more

Leo's was very nice while we purchased the RV. After the sale they agreed to water proof the roof which they did not. Not that big of a deal. I took care of it. 6 months later I am still waiting on my title and registration. When I call they again are nice then pass me off on to someone else or tell me it's in process. It's been six months and now they says they don't know where my paperwork is. Very frustrating. The bottom line is they talk a good game, but frankly just don't really care. read more
