The atmosphere is Olde Town Casual Rustic, a little heavy on the wear but that is because they are always packed with folk from all over this part of the Country. We ordered the Cheeseburger Basket Special today and every bite was Delicious! Everything homemade! They have an extra dining room for special events and the dining room features a fresh soup and salad bar all day everyday.

After looking over salad bar which is mostly prepared salads (potato salad, pasta salads). Big bowl of lettuce with a few toppings, nothing special. I ordered 1 pancake with fried egg on top. Nice size pancake and they have sugar free syrup to accommodate my request. Enjoyed my pancake that took over the plate. Mom ordered 2 egg breakfast came with hash browns, 3 slices of bacon and toast. Food is good and servers friendly. Coffee is just okay and only offer packets of powder creamer. No pictures to share.

Kyall took VIP like care of us...My hunger ways got ahold of my decision making and I looked at the menu and mumbled something that made sense to the server. The service was top notch. The flavors of the burger ...life changing. The fries were piping hot ... in hindsight I should have orded the tidbits...they looked phenomenal!! This place knows how to get someone's hunger taken care of. I came in hungry, I left fatter and happier. Thank you Mary's grill for satisfying my stomach! I will be back when visiting family who live in this town. Kyall will be requested! She and the kitchen staff should be commended. I had a fantastic conversation with gentlemen refilling the salad station... All smiles. This place is legit. Clean bathrooms! Do a favor to yourself and stop in! Thank me later! Questions reach out. Hubby had the chicken fried chicken and it was fantastic, plus he has enough for lunch tomorrow! I had a jalapeño mushroom burger with sweet potato fries and they were both very good. Lots of jalapeños and mushrooms, plus the sweet potato fries were thin and crispy and not covered in sugar like you find at a lot of places. While we were there, our server told us about the owner also purchasing the bakery next door, so of course, we had to check that out before leaving! These are two gems in a small town that hopefully, are loved and appreciated and will be there on our next trip through the area!

The ambiance was quaint, with a country style, homey, laid back. The picnic style table with vlear top threw me for a minute, as you can see through the cracks. Service is where the err was apparent. Initially, the waitress was on point, but after her first pass by, when she asked if everything was OK, I requested bbq sauce. She disappeared into the kitchen, then brought something out to a different table. She went to sit with a co-worker at another table. My husband got up and walked over to the table to ask for bbq sauce. We waited, but no action. The woman at the same table was yelling to someone in the back. There was a claim that the machinery wasn't working, as the guy behind us was skipped for awhile. The cook came out. My husband asked HIM for bbq sauce. Eventually, the waitress brought a cup, but at this point, it was pretty much moot. We dipped a few fries in as a show of good sport, but it was too little, too late. When I went to pay, the cook rang us up and gave us a discount. He apologized and explained the mechanical deficiencies . I gave the waitress the balance of the discount, so everyone was happy.

A 2+ hour drive from OKC for lunch might sound like a commitment--but when a place has been on your…read moreradar for years, sometimes you just make the trip. That's exactly what we did to visit The Pioneer Woman Mercantile, and overall, it delivered a really enjoyable experience. The Experience We planned ahead and made online reservations (highly recommended), especially when you're traveling that far. We arrived about 30 minutes early, checked in, and spent some time browsing the retail shop. It's well-stocked with plenty of Pioneer Woman flair--fun to look around, even if nothing made it into our cart this time. We were seated right on schedule, and our server, Tatyana, set the tone immediately--friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the meal. The Food Let's start with the surprise... Biscuits with butter & peach jam -- I'll be honest, I'm not usually a biscuit guy, but these were soft, warm, and downright addictive. Chicken Fried Steak -- This is what you come for. Crispy coating, tender inside, and covered in a rich, peppery gravy that hits all the right notes. Classic comfort food done right. Ribeye Steak -- Well-seasoned and cooked properly. My wife originally wanted a loaded baked potato (they were out), so she pivoted to loaded mashed potatoes--which turned out to be a solid backup plan. Side Salads -- Fresh, simple, and a good balance to the heavier entrees. Don't Skip the Bakery (Upstairs!) We passed on dessert at the table and headed upstairs--and this might have been the best decision of the day. * Pecan Pie Cookie -- Absolute standout. Rich, sweet, and unique. Don't leave without one. * Snickerdoodle & Iced Lemon Cookie -- Both excellent and gone quickly. Atmosphere The space feels exactly how you'd expect--warm, inviting, and comfortable with a touch of that signature Ree Drummond style. The lighting, decor, and layout all make it a place you don't feel rushed to leave. The Verdict Was it worth the drive? Yes. Would I do it again? Also yes--especially as a planned day trip. It doesn't quite hit that 5 level for me, but it's a very strong 4 experience with great service, solid food, and a memorable setting. @cheft_2469 Scorecard * Food: * Service: * Atmosphere: * Value: Pro Tips (Read Before You Go) * Make a reservation - This is a destination spot and fills up fast, especially on weekends. * Arrive early - Gives you time to browse the retail shop before your table is ready. * Skip dessert at the table - Head upstairs to the bakery instead... trust me on this one. * Get the Pecan Pie Cookie - Non-negotiable. It's the standout item. * Chicken Fried Steak is the play - If you're on the fence, this is the safe bet. * Have a backup side in mind - Items like baked potatoes can sell out. * Plan it as a day trip - Pawhuska isn't just lunch, it's the whole experience. * Go before peak tourist season - You'll enjoy it more without the heavy crowds. "Sometimes the best meals aren't just about the food--they're about the road trip, the experience, and who you share it with. This one checked all those boxes."

The whole town is booming with shops and other opportunities for you to experience but when you go into her personal store, thousands of items on display for you to choose from whether it's for home decor or four just getting some unique pottery Bourne items for your kitchen. It's a great stop. We have been there multiple times throughout the years. To suggestions of course as you must go there to have their breakfast you will tremendously enjoy it their biscuits homemade fresh. You will truly love their biscuits. You most definitely have to try out their bakery. It's up the stairs, but I tell you one thing you are going to love it and regret it at the same time so many great options to choose from made fresh right there and you can even watch them make it and it's actually pocketbook friendly on their bakery items which I wasn't expecting. I was thinking it would be a little bit more pricey but I think about five or six items and spent less than 40 bucks in each item is a good portion size. Last thing I would suggest is make sure to see if they have any samples cause it doesn't hurt to ask and usually they do have samples coming out every hour or so so you could enjoy and even try it before you buy it So if you're here in that area, I suggest you stop in. You won't regret it. It'll be fun and a great place just to grab a goodbye to eat
