Water running down my door
Daniel E.

Where do I even begin? I text the number on Google because I wanted a quote. I asked the owner how much it would be to tint my truck all around with ceramic tint and he gave me a price of $175. I told him I would drop off at 11 and needed it back by 3 he said no problem. When I dropped off at 11, someone else greeted me (the guy who was tinting my truck) he asked if I had an appointment I said yes told him i had spoke to the owner previously about price and time. I proceeded to show him the text messages and he said, "Well he must've been confused or something because that's not how much we charge for a truck. We charge $275. $100 more, especially for ceramic because it's top of the line" I already felt like I was being done wrong at this point but really needed my windows tinted so I went through with it. I asked him how much he charged to tint the front windshield completely and he said $300 so I declined. I asked him how much if would be for the strip on top of the windshield he said they normally charge $60 but he would give me a deal at $30. Then he went to my windows and was like oh your windows have a film that I have to take off so I'm gonna have to charge another $30 for that. It felt like he was just pulling prices out of nowhere at this point. He said I'll cut you a deal and do everything for $300 though. Mind you this is not the person I was texting originally (the owner) this was the guy tinting my truck. But i went through with it anyway. When I came to pick my truck up the quality of their work was pretty messy they had to go over it multiple times to get the bubbles out. The back window had a whole huge crease/bulb in it. The guy who tinted it told me "hey I talked to the owner and because you guys had already talked about price and I gave you another price he told me to give you a discount of $50." Honestly I don't believe that but whatever. I paid him the money and got in my truck (I was in a hurry to leave because I had a doctors appointment in an hour across town) When I got in my truck i realized the radio didn't turn on. This was an aftermarket radio that was pretty nice and cost me some good money. I told the guy who tinted my truck and he brushed his hands off of the situation immediately and told the owner to handle it. The owner tried to see what was wrong (he checked fuses, the radio, etc.) and he said "I don't know what to tell you, we put a cover on the dash so no water gets into it." I would've made a big deal about it if I didn't have to go to the doctors in an hour. So I took my truck and tried to figure it out. Ultimately, the radio ended up being shorted out when I took it out there was no power to it. So now i had to buy a whole new radio because of these guys. They didn't even have the decency to wipe my truck down from all the water they sprayed on it. They didn't even bother to clean the inside from the film they use to tint the windows. Lousy work, really disappointed with whole situation. I'm not one to put negative reviews on businesses but this whole experience was horrible and people have to know about this. Be careful and do your research before taking it to just any shop.

Leon denying responsibility
Jessica T.

I visited Leon's Mobile Tint in August with my brand new 2024 Mazda 3. At the time I had had my car for 5 days. I ordered tint for all windows and a clear ceramic coat for the windshield to help with heat. My car drove into the shop fine, as a new car should, but much to my disappointment, shock, sadness, you name it, it would have to be towed out of the shop that evening. The car was absolutely inoperable for 6 days at the dealership while they determined the cause. My BRAND NEW CAR. 106 MILES ON IT! The mechanics concluded that the tinters got SO MUCH water into my dash that the body control module stopped working. This is the part that recognizes key fobs, controls my electric parking brake, controls locks, allows the ignition switch to start the engine.... When I came to Leon for reimbursement of the $135 tow and $600 repair, he adamantly denied any responsibility stating there are signs all over the shop saying they don't offer warranties for windshield work. Hello, this is not windshield damage. This is damage to my vehicle's electronic mechanism. He said he has been tinting windows for decades, which must mean he knows everything, even though I STILL have bubbles in my tint that prove otherwise. He made no attempt to fix the bubbles when I brought them up. It did not take much personal research to find several videos online about proper tint procedures required for certain types of cars, including Mazdas. It's clear that some models need extra care, especially with newer technology, but this establishment refuses to stay up-to-date with training on trade changes as is their professional duty. He blamed the manufacturing of the vehicle. If you have a newer vehicle and don't have an extra grand or the peace of mind to waste, I would definitely go elsewhere. I have lost all the comfort that comes with purchasing a new vehicle, which in the end is more important than the money. Leons Mobile Tint destroyed the personal value of my brand new car. Here's a link to one of the videos I found to help educate this company since they won't do it themselves. If this man knew 3 years ago, why doesn't Leon's Mobile Tint know now? https://youtu.be/1RZHXwGhpts?si=xhHml9rxXWSafXWu

Leon was awesome! He was quick to respond to my request for tint on my Tesla Model 3. He provided a quick turn around and great price! My car looks amazing.

Unfortunately after Leon came twice my windshield tint looks terrible and I was told that just how it is. I was getting a tint that got me a ticket redone to a legal darkness and it never looked this bad before. Beware of sloppy work

Leon's professionalism, customer communication, scheduling, and quality of work cannot go without associated words like immaculate, swift, flexible, and courteous. He is always willing to allow open communication, putting the customer at ease, especially ones unfamiliar with window tint work. I've used him twice and my father has multiple times and never had an issue and always seem to go back because his competition is simply unmatched. Go here if you need work done, go elsewhere if you want an inferior job by an inferior business with likely a poor experience.

Good prices and tint quality seems good. Pretty fast and won't charge ridiculous prices to just take off old tint.

Scheduled an appointment for a Paint Protection Film for my new car. My car dealer had recommended…read moreit and with all the construction going on around town and tons of trucks, industrial vehicles and weather around SA, I wanted to protect the paint. When we heard about the service, my husband called several times and no one called back?? They just corresponded via text and email, no personal interaction until we got to the shop. We even brought it up to our car dealer and he said that if we didn't hear back after a certain amount of time that he would try to reach out to them. Finally, they corresponded with a price via email and time available via text. I finally brought it in as I was on vacation for a few weeks. When we got to the shop, no one greeted my husband according to him as I was still outside. No salutations. He proceeded to tell them his name and what car we were dropping off. The rep was with another employee on the computer in the front desk. When they finally got to us, they took our info and the rep explained the process, other services they provide if we wanted in the future, e.g., Ceramic Coating and Window Tints, how long the job would take, how to take care of it and how long it would have to fully cure and to not allow water to sit on the top for now as it is a porous product. They also offer an Uber if you needed a ride home. After the paperwork was completed, I asked if we could look at the shop in the back so there's a waiting area with windows to view the process and application. Pretty cool and I noticed lots of high-end vehicles being serviced. You could really see the attention to detail when positioning the film on even the front Grill area of an SUV. It was going to take about 1-1/2 days to complete. We heard back in the late afternoon the next day so we told them we'd pick it up the next morning. When I picked up my car, there was a female rep helping me out behind the counter and I think she was being cross-trained but was very thorough. She also gave me a free Detail Spray with Microfiber Cloth kit. After explaining the warranty & paying, the original rep walked out with us to see the car. We looked at the seams, detail, checked under the hood, looked if there were any bubbles or imperfections. He said if there were any imperfections or bubbles that we notice, that we could just call and notify them. We wouldn't have to make an appointment. He reiterated how to take care of the car with the film coating & explained that brushless car washes are recommended because the brushes on regular car washes can damage the coating as well as your paint. Plus the brushes pick up other dirt from other grimy vehicles like trucks and can transfer them to your car. Good to know. He mentioned the other services again and mentioned that the Window Tints & how it minimizes heat esp. in the hot Texas summers. We were impressed at the work and in the coming days/weeks/months will monitor how it wears and if we see any imperfections.

Can't say enough about the great service from xpel! Huge shout out to Chris! Stealth on the paint…read moreand clear on all carbon/roof.
