This is one of the nicer places we stayed at on our trip. It is within a short walking distance (probably a mile) from the old town area where there are many cafes, shops, weinstubes, donner kebab joints, bakeries, restaurants, and more. The rooms are comfortable, the hotel restaurant was elegant and the food good, and the quality of the service from the hotel staff was just great. They were very friendly and courteous. And of course they're all fluent in different languages, including English. During the night of Germany's soccer match against Greece they put of a wide screen television in the back and invited guests to watch and drink. There is a parking garage underneath the hotel that is like most German parking garages--tight as sardines in a can, and at times the gate wouldn't let us out although we had paid at the kassenautomat. The breakfast buffets were very nice--I enjoyed those a great deal, and the young ladies who work in the restaurant are cute--that doesn't hurt anything. There are some nice restaurants along Bergheimer Strasse if you're up for a walk. We liked the Royal Thai. Next to the hotel is a really great organic grocery called Alnatura that has a terrific selection of produce and products. read more
