Leonard has completed 2 projects for me. The first was a cement 10'x20' patio and footings for patio cover. The second project was a second patio and another 100' of sidewalk from back of house to the street. He did coloring and stamping to make it look more natural. NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY! They installed a driveway for me over a year ago. On my initial meeting with Leonard I told him I wanted a driveway installed. Instead he put in PATIO SIZE CURB! A large FOUR INCH CURB!!! Obviously they wanted to pour cement and leave as fast as possible. Takes an extra hour to get a normal apron to a driveway formed. Every time I drive into my driveway my teeth jar! The driveway has cracks in it from my rims hitting it overtime I go drive in my driveway! Recently an elderly neighbor came for a visit and fell when leaving because he stepped off the 4" curb thinking it was a normal driveway!! He did not anticipate the hazard. Thank God he did not break a hip or hurt himself! Just bruised and angry! Leonard and Sons should have come back to fix this travesty. Any decent company would own up to their mistake! Who does this kind of inferior work and never takes any responsibility? What a waste of money. I curse their name every time I go in and out of my driveway! Leonare & Son re-constructed our back patio. They did the demo of our old concrete and laid in the new concrete. The were very professional, neat as can be for concrete work and did the job on time. Quality was exceptional! I got a few quotes and found them to be very fair. They were the only ones to suggest using rebar that actually adds tension strength to the concrete. Leonard was super helpful in working with my HOA where he had to re-route irrigation so that nothing is under the concrete that could cause problems at a later date. Our condo had a patio courtyard that was original to our place from 1963. It had seen better days and, with unsightly water damage and surface cracks, needed to be replaced. I spoke to a few contractors for estimates but was put off by their bluster and know-it-all attitudes. Then I met Leonard and just knew he would do a great job. He listened to what we were looking for and then sent us a detailed estimate for the work. It was a little higher than other estimates, but Leonard's professionalism and can-do attitude convinced me he was the right man for the job. Demolition and removal of the old patio went smoothly. His crew was professional and treated our home with respect throughout the entire process. Leonard was always on site and did a lot of the work himself. It was a bigger job than I realized initially, but Leonard communicated with me to resolve any minor issues and worked with me to ensure we had a finished project we were all happy with. He and his crew showed up when they said they would and the work progressed smoothly through the different stages he had outlined for us in the beginning. Pumping in the new concrete was a bit messy, but Leonard and his crew protected our exterior walls and sliders with plastic sheeting to minimize any damage. They needed to work inside some, to access hard-to-reach areas of the patio through the sliding glass doors, and Leonard was careful to tape down paper walkways throughout our house to protect the floors and carpets. They came back this morning to clean up and finish the job. They cleaned all of the little stray bits of concrete off of our walls and windows and left our place spotless. And the new patio came out great! We couldn't be happier with the job. If you're looking for concrete work, I can't recommend Leonard highly enough. Horrible experience. Was referred by a good friend and business partner to do Stair Case of new Condo in Palm Springs. Came out, gave me a quote. Hired him, I live in LA, came back down to discover he did not due staircase he did front entry way. That is not what I hired him for. Got charged exactly the same amount for something that was definitely easier to do. I was very upset but did not want to rock the boat with business partner. So I actually like an idiot hired him to do the flooring, stamp concrete. Well it was not even 8 months later and two massive cracks that combine stretch about 12 feet plus it's crumbling in some parts. Obviously poorly done. But the kicker is, this time I did tell business partner, he called and text him multiple times, he responded back only once. Than have not heard anything since. Completely disappeared. Not honest, Crap Work, & Disappeared. His name is Leonard Loerna with Leonard and Sons Construction. Do not hire under any condition. They seem nice and pleasant even warm when you first meet them but horrible company, horrible people. Oh found out later that my business partner talked to his parents about my situation and discovered the walkway Leonard did for them a decade before they were charged roughly $700 more than the original quote.
