I've owned…read moremy heating and cooling company for over 26 years, and whenever I have old furnaces, copper evaporator coils, scrap metal, or other materials to get rid of, this is the place I go to. What I really like is how easy they make the whole process. I simply pull up, unload everything, and they take care of the rest. Yes, I know I could probably make extra money selling some of the metal separately, but honestly, the convenience, service, and professionalism here make it worth it for me. They also recycle aluminum cans, bottles, and many other materials, and they pay customers for recyclables. It's a family-owned business, and I've known the owners and their father for a long time. Good people, hardworking, and always respectful. Just a heads up -- it can get busy at times because a lot of people come here to recycle and cash in their materials, which says a lot about the business itself. Highly recommend giving this place a shot if you're looking for an honest and reliable recycling center in the Willow Glen area.

My neighbors and I had missed a week of recycling pick-up in our neighborhood, so I figured I'd…read morejust let it collect for another week then take it elsewhere to get recycled with a little cash in return. Danny's Recycling Center was a sufficient option. The process was quick and fairly easy, though I did need a little bit of instruction since it was my first time here. Luckily there were plenty of staff to help out on a Saturday afternoon. Basically, once you enter, you park in the spaces on the right hand side. Then bring out your recycling and organize your items in large bins (the typical commercial round plastic trash cans) which are provided by staff. Next, they walk the bins to the machine which counts and crushes your recyclables (you can watch it go up the conveyor belt and come out the other side). Afterward, they give you a slip of paper with numbers printed on it, and you take this to the cashier windows across from the machinery where it is exchanged for cash and a receipt to sign (along with a customer copy). It was a very straightforward process. I was paid by weight (per pound) for my aluminum cans, but paid per item for my plastics, probably cuz I had less than 15 bottles. A stress free experience overall.

He grabbed a couple of bins over to my trunk and told me to unload. A few seconds later, another car drove in and the same worker immediately walked over to help him unload his cans instead. Maybe the guy was a frequent customer but damn, the differential treatment was hella obvious. The worker helped him unload everything and helped him carry everything to the weighing station. It all happened so quick that he even skipped me in line. When I was done unloading, I asked for some help carrying the bins over to the weighing stations (as I saw workers help other people), but I was just told to carry the glass bottle bins myself. Umm sure that would make sense if the other customers small in stature like me too but they were literally men who seemed big enough to not need the help. Regardless, they're nicer if you know Spanish. They're friendlier if you've buddied up with them before. Ironically the workers make it seem like some boy's club catering to their own yet their bosses are Asian. It's too much of a hassle dealing with their behavior that I'd much rather recycle elsewhere next time.

Decided to try this recycling place since the other one we went to was a bit difficult to find…read moreparking and the employees just took out items without letting us know what was going on. And after all the bins we filled we only received a little money back due to not clearly communicating with us the separation process. We turned in to this place, there is plenty of parking which is a huge plus compared to the other place. It wasn't clear where to get the large bins to place the recycling items, but a super sweet lady saw I was a bit lost so she told me the bins are in the back. We walked back there, grabbed a few bins back to the car and separated out each type of recyclable. Plastics in one, aluminum cans in another, and glass in another. Then we brought the bins to the employee to weigh the bins. The one working today is super friendly. He put each bin on a different scale. Then indicated to the lady at the stand it was ready for her to take the weight from each bin. She asked for a drivers license and then proceeded to give me a receipt. She was super sweet as well. After we grabbed our receipt, we walked to the ATM area and scanned the bar code on the receipt. The ATM took a little time to process, but soon it popped out the cash and then on top the change. As we were leaving the exit, it was a bit hard to see the cars and many were driving pretty quick so it's harder to leave. Overall, It was a super easy process. We will definitely be back.

Today, March 11, 2026, was my fourth visit, and I usually come here because it's the closest recycling center to my place. Every time I've come, the experience has been smooth and hassle-free. The staff are friendly, helpful, and work efficiently to keep the line moving. The man who helped me today was especially professional. He came over, helped sort through my bags, and carefully checked for unacceptable items more than once. I actually appreciated that attention to detail because it showed he was doing his job properly. A few of my plastic bottles were returned, but that was perfectly fair since they weren't CA CRV eligible. I still walked away with $17.75, so no complaints from me. One thing I'd recommend is sorting your recycling before you arrive. It saves both your time and the staff's time, and it makes the whole process a lot smoother. Parking is a little limited, but that's really my only minor complaint. Other than that, I've had nothing but positive experiences here, and I'd definitely return. I came right around closing time, so there was plenty of parking and no waiting line.
