They made us a reservation same day for dinner and we arrived promptly at our dining time and were seated immediately at a table overlooking the water and city. The views are purely stunning for sunset! The servers were all so nice and I believe it's a small family owned establishment, and I think the owners were also waiting on us at some point during the meal. All of the restaurant employees were so nice, welcoming, and offered to answer any questions we had on the menu. We started with a bottle of white wine and it was amazing! I think most wines of their menu were less than 25 euros a bottle. They also provided us with a basket of bread to start complimentary as well. We started with Panelle to start as an appetizer (little chickpea fritters, they were amazing! 5 euros for I believe they were 5 fritters). We also ordered the Busiate alla Norma (13 euros, this was the best and freshest pasta you could imagine, truly amazing and they split it for us in the kitchen and was plenty big for two people to share). For entrees, we both ordered the Filetto di pesce fresco (fresh fish filet, 20 euros), and included a few small vegetables as well. We also ended with a Canolli for desert, and OMG it was the best cannoli I've ever had. I believe it was 3 euros and the flavor was out of this world. We split the cannoli in two, but I think I could have eaten two of them just myself! I really felt like we were eating in a Michelin starred restaurant, the food quality and preparation were amazing, along with the service was very white glove as well. If you're in the Sciacca area, definitely give them a try!

Though we had a little communication barrier, google translate more than made up for that and I was able to order without any major issues. I had the eggplant caponata which I have to say was not my favorite; great ingredients for sure, but in the end too sweet for my liking. However, the Busiate with swordfish which is local Sicilian favorite more than made up it. The sun dried tomatoes, fresh lemon and parsley was just a great combination with the fish. I could not finish it all but that was not due to the taste. I was just simply stuffed. Do not be afraid to try Al Faro if in the area. They are located right by the dock with plenty of parking, and you'll have a great experience.

I'm a sucker for truffles and I noticed they had a lot of truffles on their menu. The special for the day was tortellini' with shaved white truffles. They brought a whole truffle and shaved a few grams in front of me. I posted a video of the experience. I then ordered the PIEDMONTESE FASSONA SIR FILLET, PURE AND BLACK TRUFFLE. It was cooked perfectly and the truffles had me salivating. Presentation is beautiful. Everything was perfect except the wait time. I normally expect restaurants in Europe to take 1 hour or two to get the food to the table but I noticed every table around us got their food 30 minutes before us, even if they were seated after. The decor was "wine chic" modern, with ice buckets fabricated from wine boxes. The front of this establishment was a wine shop with Sicilian and other Italian wine selections as well as olive oil and other Sicilian delicacies. We received royal treatment from Marco, one of the twins, of crisply spoken English, cordiality, and expertise in creating a memorable dining experience. The food was scrumptious and professionally presented. Local seafood excellence along with meticulously prepared pastas, including "tenerumi" a true Sicilian vegetable speciality in pesto form. The stuffed zucchini flowers were almost too beautiful to eat. And, seafood arancini - magnifico!!Marco brought it all together with perfectly picked wine selections for our appetizers, then main courses. Of course, he chose varying drinking vessels to match the varietal served - a true maestro.
