I haven't lived here in over two years, but my experience here was so awful it has kept me up even…read morenow - years later. Looks like they started a new page cus their old one was getting bad reviews: SCN development, Nelson family Properties, it's all the same and they're horrible. These reviews are not disgruntled tenants - I've lived in rental properties for 10 years now and this is the only place I feel compelled to actively warn people from YEARS LATER. You can leave the place spotless and they will find anything and everything to get as much money as possible from you. Want to challenge that $1200 paint job that was unnecessary, or the $30 light bulb, or the $200 fee to clean the microwave that you already cleaned when you moved out? They'll send collection notice before you can finish reading their poorly written damage deposit return statement. I've said it it other posts, do your research. Go look at the other aliases for this company and check the Oregon public records. These people are crooks, I just wish I had the time and money to take these people to court.

They said that wasn't enough information to verify income. Also tried to deny the existence of the billion dollar company I work for. It's just an okay apartment in a horrible location. I wish I could give them no stars. We were out into a 2nd flood one bedroom apartment, and…read morealthough it was fully furnished, the recliner was broken. The nice lady I spoke with on the phone had a new one delivered. As I was recovering from major surgery and needed a recliner to sit in. That's when things began to go south. The first day that we used the dish washer, a swarm of small black ants appeared. We called and the lady we had spoken to initially had quit (she was very unhappy with how she had to treat people), the new woman promised to have someone come by to exterminate the ants. No one showed up. We were there with them at their Canyon Road location and never once did someone come to handle the ants. Put neighbors above us also had some strange machine running every single day early in the morning, right above our bedroom. We complained, but nothing was done. We also had to deal with construction being done the entire 2 months that we were there. They'd start at 6am and end at 7pm. The noise was unbearable. They were repainting and repairing the structure apparently. For $525 a week for a one bedroom, these things are ridiculous. There should be no ants, no damaged things. The screen door had a huge hole in it, and my 3 years old cat got out of it and fell off of the balcony! Thank God that he was OK, with no injuries, but this screen should have been fixed before we were moved into the place. Very unhappy with their service. Don't go to them. It's much better to just stomach the cost for a hotel or extended stay hotel.

I went to see and apply for a 2 bed 2 bath apartment I saw on Craigslist . I called and spoke with…read moreKit, he said it was still available and to head on over, then just from the drive over, guess what .. I was told it was rented and was offered one of their 1 bedroom with a den ( 1 bath ) total bait and switch. Oh no it gets worse. I declined and showed the manager the add on Craigslist was still there. Next day it was down. I was disappointed and confused..oddly 5 days later I saw another add on Craigslist for a 2 bed 2 bath (floor plan Rosewood) with the address and apartment listed as 11458 SE 90th Ave Apt 1213 Happy Valley 97086 posted just a few hours earlier. As I had already viewed an apartment there; I went online and completed an application for this very apartment and was approved and was told I had 24 hours to put down the $300 deposit. I got a cashiers check and headed over there. The same guy was now confused because I was approved through Summit management..ps they now will not let you apply through the management company website. Anyway he took my deposit and I signed paperwork for the apartment...so my move date was 2 months away..oddly it was not available yet..so 8 weeks later and 2 weeks from my move in date the same guy called me and said he had a surprise for me the floor plan I originally wanted (Glasgow) was available and did I want to switch apartments. Of course I did. I went there and signed new paperwork. Oddly he asked me for a $300 deposit. I said can't you use the deposit I put on the other apartment, he looked confused and started digging through his desk drawer and found it. I let that issue go, so excited to get the Glasgow. One week later I get a call from this guy and he said he made a mistake and the apartment he now rented me was a Manchester 2 bed 1 bath..not a Glasgow 2 bed 2 bath and when I asked to get the Rosewood back he said he rented it and they where moving in already .. hummm odd. So if I didn't take the 2 bed 1 bath I was just homeless..as I didn't have time to find a new place and was promised by him that I would get the first Glasgow to come available..I agreed. Im still here...don't know why any more..apparently there has never been a 2 bed 2 bath available... FYI..To make up for Kits bait and switch....the manager who is no longer there dropped my apartment monthly cost by $50 and gave me a free covered parking spot. I wanted two spots as I have two vehicles, but that was not allowed. It is beyond miserable trying to park a vehicle on the street ...and completely frustrating seeing all the empty spots in the parking lot..they tow vehicle like crazy..mind you Oregon's new tow laws mean the apartment managers have to approve the towing of their tenants vehicles and mind you they know it's their tenants vehicle. Trying to be the better person, I've just been busy and working a lot. Don't ask me why but i resigned my lease I have saved all my email from Kit..and the manager who tried to fix the issue..and my original cashiers check receipt has the other apartments address on it...and my name.. ***Pros Full size Washer and Dryer ..huge Each unit has its own water heater..yes you can run the dishwasher and the washer and take two showers all without losing hot water. ***Cons Parking ..Remember when you apply that you only get as many parking spaces as there is bathrooms in your apartment...so when you see all the open parking in the complex parking lot...it's because no one can park more then one car in the lot..and they are all in the street. Everyone I refer here says that The office staff is rude...

The year round hot tub is under maintenance all the time. And the quality of the apartments is terrible. The only good thing about this place was the rent, but it keeps going up. Don't rent here.
