This review is specifically for the eye exam portion of LensCrafters--the office to the left where the eye doctor and their staff work, not the retail side where you purchase glasses.
While the staff at this location were kind and polite, my overall experience left a lot to be desired. The team seemed genuinely confused throughout my entire visit, and the information I received was often conflicting or simply incorrect.
For starters, I was told they didn't have my contact lenses in stock--but it was clear they hadn't even checked. I also had to repeatedly explain that I have insurance, which didn't seem to register with them until several reminders later.
The biggest issue, however, came down to the eye exam process itself. I was originally told I had to get my eyes dilated, but when I explained that I couldn't drive afterward, they suddenly said it was "no big deal" and that I could skip it--but then implied I wouldn't get the full results without it. Confused, I had one of the staff accompany me to a different LensCrafters location to get clarification. Only then did I learn that dilation wasn't actually required after all. It was incredibly frustrating to have something so basic miscommunicated so many times.
To top it all off, one staff member in particular seemed especially out of it--glassy eyes, visibly confused, and clearly not confident in what she was doing. I genuinely hope she's okay, but it didn't inspire confidence in the care being provided.
In short: nice people, but they seem untrained and underinformed. It felt like no one really knew what was going on. I wouldn't return to this location. read more
