Parking is easy and I agree with other reviewers about the easy community feel between staff and class members. The studio is beautiful and clean, with a calming view of trees through three big picture windows. I have to say too, I do not take for granted that a heated yoga studio will smell clean- and Radiance has it down! I took two different classes here while I was in town. One with Abby, who stood out as straightforward, fun, and very capable teacher. I love a yoga class where people can laugh and feel natural, and she fosters that so well. The other class was with Becca, who has a totally different style- her class was calming, gentle, and very encouraging. I enjoyed both! The classes are heated with infrared but are only up to around 88 degrees so it wasn't too draining. Both teachers walked around class and gave verbal group cues but I didn't notice any individual corrections- so if that's important to you, I would ask about it when you come. One thing to note logistics-wise is that there are no showers or locker rooms, though the bathrooms are big enough to change in and people clear out pretty quickly after class ends so you aren't waiting long. There are open cubbies in the entry area and it felt safe to leave my stuff there especially since there's desk staff in full view the whole time. I really enjoyed checking this place out and plan to come back when I'm around again! Highly recommend.

Radiance is such a gift! I've practiced yoga at a number of studios in a number of different cities…read moreand have often been challenged by finding teachers that were the right fit. (If you have been to a yoga classes that felt like an 80's workout led by a flight attendant or a class where the instructor was surrounded by such a massive haze of nag champa and new age lingo that they didn't seem to notice that there were other people in the room, then you might know what I'm talking about!) Radiance on the other hand, is one of my favorite studios. The teachers are present, grounded, insightful, brilliant at accommodating all levels and they are amazing, real, actual humans. The studio has a great balance of committed practice, mindfulness and even (my personal favorite) playfulness. Instructors are inspiring. They lead by example but also make personal contact and adjustments. (Which is so important) I always feel welcome and invited when I come in and leave feeling refreshed, renewed and invigorated.

My friend and I have been to Kripalu about 5 times - mostly for R&R and once for a writing course…read more We prefer R&R so we have more unstructured time for all the daily activities. A Kripalu stay is like going to camp for us, but with fantastic buffet style food. We love having days of comfy clothes, flip flops and no need to make any important decisions or plan anything beyond what time we are meeting for our next meal. We love the guided hikes, kayaking, yoga dance and the variety of sessions that are informative, thought provoking and/or movement-based. I enjoy all of the relaxing after dinner yoga classes. The grounds and lake are beautiful. The teachers who lead the hikes and kayaking are lovely - positive and helpful. We always stay in a two twin bed room with a shared bath in Shadowbrook, the only option cheaper than the dormitory group rooms. We tend to go in the off season when there's a discount code so we pay about $550 total per person for three nights. Though the rooms are very tiny and modest, we are pretty much only in them to sleep. The community bathrooms are kept very clean. I love the reading room on the 4th floor, so relaxing and the couches are perfect for a nap. If you want to have fun, recharge, eat great food with tons of options at each meal and get lots of healthy activity, Kripalu is great. If you're looking for a luxury experience, that's not what this is.

It was however unfortunate to find the removal of the whirlpool that I used many years ago in conjunction with the sauna... I hope they get this back! I spent most of my time in the Sun Room on the third floor, lounging on the extra large double couch chair in front of the wall sized windows. The silence, the occasional breeze and glorious light shining through filled the space and my being with enormous peace. As to value, it's unbeatable if you visit from open to close which includes access to everything (3 meals, all daily classes and events, grounds access, etc) for the entire day. The awesome thing about the cost is the special pricing for local residents! Can't wait to get back soon!

All of the teachers are amazing and the owner, Kerry is kind and compassionate to everyone who walks through her door. Not only has Kerry created a relaxing and tranquil space to practice yoga, she has created a sanctuary for all to celebrate and honor your mind and body no matter your shape, size, age or activity level. There is a wide variety of classes, from a slow flow "feel grounded" to a more pilates based "feel strong" and each of the teachers bring a different flavor to each class. Kerry is always thinking of new experiences to bring to the studio and connect with her fellow community members through partnerships, workshops and special events. Not only does she host yoga based classes and events but she has expanded to sound bathing, reiki, massage, tarot reading and so much more! I've never been the type of person to broaden my horizons and try new activities such as these, but Kerry and the YogaLee community makes me feel comfortable enough to give them a whirl. YogaLee is my safe space, I cannot recommend it enough.

She teaches seven (7) days a week at around 10AM each day (see schedule below.) She does builds both strength and peace in your body simultaneously. I do not understand how you can work so hard in a class, an d also leave with more energy than when you arrived. I have arrived many times exhausted and left with a good solid energy level to face my day. I have arrived sad and left happy. I have had classes where I feel like I took a one week vacation, that is how deep my relaxation went. Rosemary deeply cares about people, her students, the world and YOGA. She is a true Yogi, the last of her kind, a dying breed. I cannot say enough good things about her, except to say that I feel like being in her presence itself bring light and peace. She is the sort of person, that you are better just for having the opportunity to be around her. She is extremely dedicated to each and every student and works tirelessly one on one with people, especially beginners. She is very encouraging of ALL people, many of her students are older. She is naturally body positive - not that she would even know what the word means- she is just too busy embodying it.
