With 3 kids, 2 of which have asthma, you can imagine we see the doctor A-LOT and can't afford $400 a pop! So after scouring the internet forever, I finally found the perfect office and doctors. From my first call when I spoke to Dolores in the Folsom office, I knew this was the kind of care I wanted for my children! The office staff are GREAT, the Medical Assistants have been wonderful (even with immunizations) and the Doctors are exceptional. They take their time, always answer questions, usually not too long of a wait. You can usually even get same day sick appointments if you call right when they open.

Dr.Nutting was rude and yelled at my husband at the start of visit for expressing his concern about our child's cough during a wellness visit. We were caught off guard by the rudeness! The nurse later said it's because he'd seen a rude patient before us but that doesn't justify this type of behavior. We have seen so many doctors in the past and never experienced such poor bedside manners. The visit and exam itself was fine but still in shock over his reaction. They tested for a number of ailments and she was positive for rhinovirus and a(non-covid 19) coronavirus, but she also had an ear infection. We had test results within minutes! They provided us with a nasal rinse and a prescription for antibiotics. From reception to the MA to the MD, everyone we saw was so kind and professional. We have been to quite a few urgent cares and RKUC was leaps and bounds a better experience! We also learned that they have the ability to X-ray on site and do comprehensive check ups for school sports. No one wants to go to an urgent care, but this is hands down the only place I would bring my children. We are so fortunate to have Rainbow Kids Urgent Care in our community!

At first I was hesitant to go with another network (UCD). However, I saw great reviews online for Dr. O'Malley. He's definitely a rare find and we are very fortunate to have him as our pediatrician. He's extremely knowledgeable and can translate medical conditions/terminology very effectively. Every time I leave his office or communicate with him via email, I feel relieved. He acts quickly with referrals when needed, which was important with my daughters swallowing issues, and follows ups with personal phone calls. Since the diagnosis she handed me was gynecological, I procured my own referral to a gynecologist who thankfully tested and ruled out Dr Duncan's diagnosis. I'm still in disbelief that she saddled me with such an awful diagnosis then turned her back on me. I took it as cowardice. She came up with something she couldn't handle and instead of suggesting a specialist, she dropped me without explanation. I felt betrayed.
