My Len the Plumber technician, Richard Duvall, was excellent! He was very courteous and friendly, but most importantly, he was super knowledgeable and professional about the repairs that I needed to my HVAC system. He checked everything thoroughly until he discovered the problems. He took photos of the damaged components, showed them to me, and explained them in a way that I could understand. He also explained why getting a service plan was a good idea. I'd been lazy about getting a plan, but I was so impressed with him that I went on and got it. He got to work quickly and got the job done. He went back to double check that everything was working properly. Richard was very detail oriented. This was an A++++++ experience all the way. We've had an abysmal experience with Len The Plumber recently. In March of this year, I asked the plumber about three different issues, one of which was fixing the chain in our toilet tank. We were quoted several hundred dollars. I declined, bought a $10 kit off of Amazon, spent 10 minutes installing it, and it has worked fine since then. Last fall, Len The Plumber installed a brand new garbage disposal for us. It recently stopped working. Our scheduled plumber cancelled on us *twice*. On the third scheduled appointment, the technician told us we had to get an electrician to fix the switch. We paid for an electrician, who told us there were no electrical issues, and the plumber could have easily fixed it. read more

I requested an estimate to repair a leak from an external hose bib that developed after a winter thaw. (The PEX supply line runs through a 4-foot tall crawl space under an outside screen porch .) The technician was pleasant, but he did not investigate the cause of the leak before giving me a $2600 quote to replace the entire supply line and hose bib. This included a $734 surcharge for "difficult access," even though I had removed the lattice panel directly next to the hose bib for easy access to the crawl space. Needless to say, I declined the service. Later that day, I removed the foam insulation around the supply line and discovered the cause of the leak: a broken plastic seal in a Shark-bite connector. I replaced the connector -- problem solved. Total cost of my DIY repair was $10 (plus $50 for the privilege of receiving a $2600 estimate from Len.) Caveat emptor. read more

I already have service scheduled for Monday, 4/27/26.. The tech was scheduled for 11-2 on Friday, 4/24/26. At 4 PM, I still had not received service, was told tech was running late. The tech arrived so late on Friday that parts could not be gotten. I will have no hot water all weekend. I have to wait until Monday so parts can be picked up. Dispatch insisted on sending one tech when others were available. This tech was not the one who installed the HWH so why did it have to be him? I have spent thousands over the years with Len, I want to know why this was handled so poorly. This needs to be shared with management. This was handled very badly and we have had to cancel plans due to no hot water. I am very surprised at the level of incompetence on this as it could have been taken care of by any tech yesterday. I called LEN because they were able to come out the same day. My furnace flame was fluttering, and it sounded like there was water in the exhaust vent leading to the roof. I suspected a safety feature was shutting the system down, which ultimately turned out to be correct. After inspecting the system, the technician told me it was a "bad install" and that I would need to replace the entire unit, even though it was only a couple of months out of warranty. They quoted me over $20,000 for the replacement. I decided to get a second opinion. The second technician confirmed my original suspicion, explained the issue clearly, and showed me how to fix it myself. No parts were needed, and the diagnostic only cost $150. Needless to say, I'm glad I didn't move forward with LEN's recommendation. read more

A plumber came to our home Dec 18, 2025 to replace a faucet. In doing so, he chipped our granite counter top. After reporting this to the manager, Greg, he assured me that this would be repaired. They referred me to a remodeling service that referred me to a stone repair company. This is after several phone calls by me. It is an ongoing, difficult effort to get them to repair their mistake, Len the Plumber will not return my phone calls and are taking no action to repair the damage they did to my countertop. In frustration I called an Actual plumbing service who arrived on time, behaved professionally and acted swiftly and competently. More importantly, they actually fixed the problem! Absolutely Horrible. Never use these guys. Technician was nice enough, but I couldn't be more disappointed in this company. I would encourage all to find a different company to work with. I have a 7 year old hot water heater that has a small leak from the drain valve. I called to have them come out and give me a quote for repair. $49 diagnostic fee- which is fine- but the technician was here for literally 5 minutes (3 of those minutes were on the phone with his boss) and proceeded to tell me they won't repair the valve because of the age (its 7 years old!) and gave me a quote for a $5,500 new water heater. So 5 minute trip cost me $49 and a quote for a hot water heater I don't need and I STILL have a leaky valve. I feel like I completely wasted $49. The tech was in front of my unit for less than a minute, did zero inspection, took a picture, made a phone call and decided they didn't want the work. Len the Plumber wasn't interested in a small repair (granted it takes a little while for the tank to drain and refill). Horrible experience. One tech came but he said he is the line guy (Dinpuia) and thought I had a drain issue. He took photos and said he would send to the office. A dispatch person of the MD, VA, DC office said a plumber would come that same day. I waited all day an no one came. This was on Tuesday, July 1. I asked to speak with a manager and as message was taken but a manager never called me. Yesterday, July 2, 2025, another plumber, Neal, showed up unexpectedly and took photos and an assessment. I asked him to send the estimate and he said he was unable to send it by phone. All In got was email sent from his Android phone with no text or estimated quoted. To date I have not received the estimate. He conferenced called with Vance in management to relay what he noticed. I told him to leave the assessment with me since it needed to be discussed with my significant other before a decision could be reached. I believe he was inflating the price and didn't want to show the breakdown to us. They finally sent a ridiculous email quote for $2,400 to replace a faucet and tub kit and a few mismatch tiles on the wall. read more

I called them for 2 clogged drains...each drain was $599 ...the second drain they couldn't unclogged before they could do another $900 in work. I refused the addt $900 in expense. So the plumber spent one hour to clog one drain and attempted to unclogged the second drain but failed - charged me $1198 . People be aware. I called the condo association and they sent out a plumber to unclog the second drain...no charge -HOA paid for it. I spoke to the condo association's Plumber and he said Len the Plumber prices are crazy ... He unclogged the second drain and did the repairs in one hour .. Len the Plumber wanted a whopping $1500 to do the repair. Charging customers $1000-$1500 hr is just crazy. This was my first time I used Len the Plumber and will be the last. read more

The AC unit was installed on June 25, 2024. The unit stopped working on July 13, 2024. Several unsuccessful attempts were made to Len the Plumber to schedule service. I contacted the sales rep who later reached out to have someone contact us to address the issue. On July 14, a tech from Len's came out and notified us that all the freon leaked out and the $400 surge protector was not installed. He also installed the surge protector. Upon further inspection of the unit by another HVAC professional, it was brought to our attention that there is a dent on the side of the evaporator coil. Additionally, there is an excessive amount of tape on the steel duct. Furthermore, the evaporator coil and the steel duct do not line up as the coil is pushed further to the right of the system. I would give negative stars if I could. My 96 year old step father's heating system stopped working today, of course on a Sunday, and of course when we are experiencing record low temperatures. He lives in Annapolis, MD and called Len The Plumber believing they're probably the only company that would come out on a Sunday. He was told a tech would be there today by noon. Great news, except that It's now 5:30 pm and still no one has shown up. The worst part though is that he has called at least 4 times to find out when or if anyone will show up only to be told the tech is running behind. He's worried sick and that's all they can tell him. Clear communication is key and had someone told him he'd be waiting this long he might have been able to contact someone else. Avoid them! read more

I was without heat they sent a kid to my house to "fix" it 3x Finally they sent what I assume they believed was their big dawg He didn't know I had recently had my valve replaced and told Me it was the main issue and he wanted to charge me $1800 to fix it but offered a discount of $300 since they have been to my house 5x in a week The company I used told me the issue was not what they said and fixed it for 1/4 the price. No wonder Len the Plumber has such low ratings. In the fall I called about water leak on my well check valve. Just a small drip leak. I waited them to show up about 4 days. I heard all kinds of BS, the guy was gonna be late because of an emergency call. They had to cancel because of emergency calls. They thanked me for patience and offered discount on the service when they get there. 4 different days of listening to all that crap. So I just let the leak go, They never showed. I decided to give them another try, because I had a good experience years ago. Today the plumber in the truck called me and said he was on the way, be there in half hour. 10 minutes later another plumber in the truck called and said he was on the way. I told him somebody already called and said he was on the way. So the second plumber said, "i'll call dispatch". The second plumber called back and said the first guy was getting the call. So I thought that's cool. But NO. 10 more minutes later, dispatch called me and said , the first plumber was called on an emergency and wouldn't be here til later. I can't wait for the next call to hear about more emergencies. If they don't make it here today, I'm done with these clowns. I have adjusted my schedule twice today to accommodate these guys and the bullcrap stories are starting. read more

On 5/22/25 I experienced a sewer backup. Over several days Len The Plumber performed work for which they charged me $18,390 and promised me a life time warranty. On 7/29/25 the sewer backed up again. Now Len The Plumber has sent me three invoices for another $503 and I have received three dunning phone calls. If I had seen all of these negative reviews, I would not have called Len The Plumber. read more

If I could leave two stars for this group, I would give 5 stars to the workers and 0 stars for the company, so I'll hit the middle at 3 stars. I also should have read the reviews. Instead of sending out the plumber for a floor drain clearing, they sent an AC guy who arrives the day after the company cancels the first appointment. He did not have a drain snake. I get that this happens. Long story short, paid out over $1100 and the drain is not cleared. I did have him install a auto shut off if the drain backed up. Guess what, it flooded twice. After finding out while snaking the drain, that the outside drain pipe had separated, and was it was reconnected and repaired, but it was going to cost another $400 + to re-snake the drain now that the pipe was reconnected. That is way too much money to pay twice for a distance of about 15-20 feet. Had to cut my losses at that point. Once again, the workers who have no control over price were great, but I'll find another local company for future work. read more

I left work early and sat at the property for 3 hours because they were supposed to come within a 3-hr window. No one ever showed up. They didn't even call to tell me they couldn't make it. They were a no call no show. They are a waste of time and I do not recommend. Update: Then when I call them out, they lie. "They can't find me" on Yelp, but they keep calling trying to reschedule. A few months ago, a LEN plumber removed our toilet to extract a toy and reseated it. A couple months later, the seal failed and waste water flooded our basement on a Sunday. We called Len the Plumber again--paid steep weekend rates--and the most unprofessional guy shows up. He kept saying it was his last job, rushed through everything, tracked sewage inside, left wax all over, didn't seat the toilet properly (it shifts when you sit), and damaged molding and drywall running the snake. I just wanted the pipe cleared and my house back. Two days later--backed up again, exactly what I feared. I told him it felt like they only knocked the blockage down, not out. Calling again, I get the rudest guy ever who quotes me full price to come back. No warranty. I ask for a supervisor--he says "I am the supervisor" and hangs up. My wife calls and gets a helpful woman who promises a master plumber at no cost. Three hours later, we're told they're sending the same amateur. Suddenly, a "real" supervisor exists and says it might take 48 hours. I explain someone's already scheduled, and he argues. Finally says our only option is letting the same guy come back. I wanted to dispute the Sunday charge and hire a plumber with integrity, but my wife just wanted it resolved. In the end, Len the Plumber is a dishonest business with awful service. First of all the app that shows the location of the driver in relation to your home is not working properly. It showed the driver 40 min away from my home but he was in my driveway. Len the Plumber assigned a guy named Eugene to handle my job request. The first thing i noticed was that Eugene seemed to be high. Stumbling and slurring his words. He gave me a price that i agreed upon before starting ($387)the job but at the end of the job he called the dispatch to ask for an additional hour which then he doubled the amount he charged ($307)me for a service that was done. The plumber asked for my assistance several times and even asked to borrow my tools, a rubber hammer, Phillips screwdriver and lubricant spray to help loosen the cartridge to pull out and put replacement in. He was struggling and come to find out the old cartridge had broken pieces inside so the replacement wouldn't fit flush without clearing the hole The plumber that was sent to my home was balancing on one leg nearly falling over in my shower multiple times. Something is off with that guy and my shower is working but the nozzle is very loose and wobbly. I feel like I've been ripped off with the price and quality of work received. read more

When I called them to set up an appointment for my HVAC, I was told the charge would be $50 for the estimate which is reasonable. However, when the technician actually arrived, I was told that the estimate would be $195 and the $50 was the cost of the trip to my home. When I called them back again to ask why this was not disclosed at the time of the appointment, they are like we only schedule appointments and the technician charges what they want for the estimate. What ? seriously, is that how you conduct business? You dont know what you charge for estimates? How convenient that you could explain about the $50 but not about $195? Needless to say I ate up the cost but I will not be using them ever again. read more

As many have said here, pricing is outrageous. Had Len the Plumber out to repair a leak. I appreciate that they came out on a Sunday but what I didn't appreciate was charging me over $500 to replace a toilet supply line ($10 part and 20 minutes of his time) $300 of that was a leak detection fee. So basically $300 bucks to walk upstairs and look around. Utterly ridiculous. I'm sure the owner will respond with some justification, stay away unless you want to get ripped off. read more

Just shy of a year ago, I had a hot water faucet snap at the wall in a small bathroom. I called Len the Plumber precisely because they claim 29 years of experienced professionals, guaranteed quality work and speedy assistance. The technician took a quite while to arrive, I watched him drive around my area on the GPS tracker they send you, suspiciously taking a long, circuitous route. He arrived 2 minutes past 5pm. I was uncomfortable with the technician's forward social interaction (I am a single mum to a 3 year old) and felt he took a long time to fix the pipe. He cut the wall to access the pipe but then rerouted the pipe 10 inches away from the original location so it stuck out from under the sink. I didn't mind as I was happy to have the fix. I paid over $500 for this work. What I did not know was that the pipe repair behind the drywall patch was faulty and was leaking, very very slowly, for months and months, into the drywall where the pipe exited to under the bathroom sink. I didn't notice until yesterday, and when I poked at the noticeable, developing bubble on the drywall; it was soft and fell apart. I cut out a small portion of the affected area and found black mold on the backside of the drywall paper. I went ahead and ended up pulling out the drywall patch and a lot surrounding it. Everything was soaked and damp, the drywall was soft and easily fell apart, the paper covered in black mold specks. I called Len the Plumber and was told that the work was a few weeks past warranty and they will not help remediate the leak in any way and that I am fully responsible to pay for the leak repair, mold removal and drywall repair. The leak is a hidden from view and took months to destroy the drywall on the backside of the wall and eventually bubble on the other side. This leak was caused by a faulty repair and Len the Plumber is refusing responsibility for a very unprofessional repair job. I am beyond devastated at how unhelpful the company has been. I requested a manager to explain the situation and was told I would get a call back. I have not had a call back. Sadly, I will be following up with the Better business Bureau. read more

She showed me photos of the bacteria that's been growing in the unit and how she suggested to remediate the problems. I received a price list of parts and the service costs. The list contained discounts so I confirmed the repairs and consider Len the Plumber to be an outstanding value. She is knowledgeable, efficient, cheerful and very thorough. If you own a trailer and have a water leak emergency don't call Len The Plumber. From there crappy customer service to telling customers that they will be out there in 2 to 4 hours and to call back when no one shows up at more than 6 hours of waiting with no response from them to tell you that they don't have any one to come out to fix the leak. I have complete confidence that this connection will never be an issue again. You all came out and basically charged me $600 to loosen a worm clamp and reattach a rubber coupler.
