Len is a fantastic real estate agent. If you're reading this because you are in search of one and you're not quite sure who you should pick then to you I say "congrats, you can stop your quest, you have arrived." Now you might be skeptical and ask me why. My partner and I were on the same quest a year ago and coincidentally stumbled upon Len during one of our casual "let's check this open house out" adventures. Our curiosity had been ahead of having an actual plan and so we found ourselves still real estate agent free at that point. Right off the bat, Len struck us as very knowledgeable. He wasn't trying to sell us anything, he was telling it like it was and didn't hold back from asking us some pointed questions. We immediately took a liking to him and to this day are very happy with having followed our gut instincts. When it came down to house hunting itself, Len connected us with Janna and she was also a pleasure to work with. In our first sit down meeting with them, Len mentioned it takes about 9 open houses to fully nail our taste. I laughed skeptically and remember saying "not us". It took them 5. That's how well they understood what we wanted. Once we were ready to put in an offer, Len was very strategic and transparent. I was glad he was on our side and we didn't have to bid against him. He didn't mince words and was always clear on what to expect. He told us we could call us at any time and he really meant it. Whether it be 12pm or 9pm, on a Monday or Saturday, he would pick up or call us back shortly after. We eventually got outbid on the first house we put an offer in on, but smoothly and happily closed on the second one. We've been living in our house in our dream place for about a year now. We feel very lucky to have stumbled upon Len and we will forever be grateful for their outstanding work and care. read more

Completely unprofessional and has completely incompetent people not only working for him (read: his admins were to edit our disclosure and it took 6 times to get it right over a whole week!!) but also the subs he recommends for home inspections, etc. Just horrible. Went into the transaction with him with our express concerns over paying inflated realtor fees, so what does he do??? He finds a buyer (the house could have sold itself) who is also his client - he represented both sides of the transaction. So our concerns were ignored and he laughed all the way the bank for doing very little work. Worst part, which is obvious, a realtor representing both sides simply cannot be objective, and as such, he didn't tell us background info about the buyer which would have impacted negotiations and the selling price. He's a huckster, and as one other review states, he's a used car salesman. DO NOT USE!! BEWARE!! read more

After living in a home that was far too large for us but conveniently located for business for nearly 25 years, it was time to retire and adjust our priorities. We finally had time to consider what would make us both comfortable and allow us to engage in our community as we entered retirement. We decided on a smaller home in a 55+ community in small-town Carmel. Selling a large home with belongings from a marriage of 50+ years is not for the faint hearted. After about nine months of trying to unload personal goods, we decided that whatever was left would go with us to be dealt with at a later time. All during this time, Len Stone stayed in touch to encourage and provide tips. We continually moved our proposed date of listing out by a few months. Len never became frustrated nor seemed to find this peculiar. He waited patiently. When we finally were ready to list the home, things moved very quickly. Within a week, painters, a master gardener, and other contractors were at the home, preparing it for sale. About 10 days later, following beautiful staging of each room, the home was on/line, in the MLS, and ready for viewing by potential buyers. The team in the Len Stone office was our lifeline during the preparation period, answering and asking questions. They set up the DocuSign system allowing us to sign documents on-line, a necessity since we already had moved to Carmel. Who: Joe Day was the amazing realtor we worked with to find our home, but we loved everyone on the team. What: I think Len's team is the best for buying and selling property in Pacifica; that's why we chose them to find our house. We put in one offer that was rejected before getting our home, but I think Joe put in the best offer for that home and the only reason we didn't get it was because the seller sold his house to a friend. When we did get our current home, we think Joe did a great job of offering a price that was fair but still competitive (we beat out 25 offers!), and we trusted him completely. He set us up with a mortgage agent who closed in two weeks, which is a small miracle, and like I said, the escrow manager Jordan and the title company we worked with were also so incredible and efficient and friendly.
