I mention this because upon moving to Philly I had very high expectations about who I would find to put me into the state of bliss that only accupuncture seems to accomplish. I tried a random place in CC...the experience was ok, but not enough to keep me going back. I thank my West Philly stars that I found Matt! I appreciate the way he means it when he asks how I am doing, and I love the way he uses this information to be inspired for the best treatment possible. He is responsive to feedback about the treatments and observant about how they feel. I can imagine he would be great with people new to accupuncture as he is calm, reassuring, and knowledgeable about what he is doing. If you have wanted to try accupuncture but have always made up excuses, STOP! Go see Matt. Wait a week, repeat.

During my recent (and first) pregnancy I struggled a lot with back pain and a visit to a…read morechiropractor was recommended, so I got a referral to see Dr Sebora. She sees lots of pregnant patients and my doula suggested her. Dr Sebora was awesome, and definitely helped with some back pain but I was a little financially limited on how often I could go in. Chiropractic care generally suggest going in regularly at an interval recommended by your chiropractor for the best results, and I do believe their adjustments work best when done regularly. For me though Dr Sebora wanted me in twice a week but the copay for me for that would've been too much, especially given I was about to have a baby and had no clue how much all of that would cost! I think I ended up going in once a week for a handful of weeks and did as much as I could. She did provide some stretches for me to do at home and those helped as well. The office was always clean and everyone was nice but I did feel like the financial aspect wasn't their strong suit. For me, my copay was $50 per visit which might be more reasonable for someone belt pregnant and finishing graduate school. I just wish the receptionists I spoke with about scheduling weren't as pushy/judgy about not coming in as frequently as Dr Sebora recommended. Overall a nice place, and it has made me very interesting in future chiropractic care once baby and I are a little more stable for extra outings!

While I was on the table with needles in my hands wrists feet and legs, my back began to spasm(the reason for my visit). I could not change position or get up because of the needles. I waited until daniel came back to the room (did not want to be noisy as he shushed me numerous times during our interview phase). Once there he removed the needles and sat me up. As there was nothing he could do, he requested my payment and we parted ways. Were his practice different, he would have been easily aware of the problem, but because it is a bulk practice the experience was not good. Sometimes cheaper is not better.

For people who don't understand Applied Kinesiology, they may be frustrated with their visit. Applied Kinesiology is a highly specialized form of chiropractics aiming to align and heal your body permanently so that you don't have to go to the chiropractor 3 times a week for the rest of your life. They "push" on muscles as one person said because muscles control the position of the bone. Other chiropractors adjust or force the bone into place ignoring the muscle. So although a little more money upfront, you spend less money and time in the long run because you are treated in one or 2 visits, not 12. I'm sorry people leave nasty reviews over something they don't understand. They have helped myself, my family, my patients, and my friends over and over again.
