I'm very confused by this restaurant. The breakfast Menu looks fabulous. Unfortunately, we arrived there in time for lunch. You are not allowed to go inside for lunch. We ordered a turkey wrap, a hotdog and a BLT. What a disappointment! Just look at the pictures. The turkey wrap was a complete joke. It was all arugula and nothing else. We all looked at each other in disbelief. There is no quality control here. The kids were very nice that worked there, but that's just not enough of a reason to go there. read more

We walked right up about 9:30 on a Sunday. We got seated right away outside. It's right on the beach so nice breeze. Quiet and fast service. It is cash only (they do have an atm). The food wasn't bad at all! Sausage, pancakes were good! The burrito was piping hot. I did think it needed a bit more cheese maybe some salt. Everything is gluten free! I didn't mind this spot. Maybe some music outside would be a good add! Try it out if you want something quick and average yummy food! read more

This place was sweet. Right on the beach, and prices were pretty modest despite that. Waitress was kind and friendly and seemed to know her stuff. Portions were large and a good way to start the day with their good-sized menu. Overall great experience, cash only though!!! read more

Finding this place was like finding a diamond in the sand! Our daughter is Gluten Free so when we researched Lemma came highly recommended. A hidden GEM! You have to try! We walked there from our hotel, and I'm so glad we did! Our kids had the waffle with ice cream every day! Me and my husband tried the bagel egg sandwich and the omelette, it was delicious and the price super fair. You can tell it's a family business, everyone super kind and attentive. We had breakfast here over MDW and it was a typical greasy spoon. Being a diner lover we enjoyed what they offered. So we went back over the 4th of July wkend. After noon. Now they say they serve breakfast & lunch...but after noon you have to take it to go because their staff is done serving. Not a problem. We ordered, they didn't give the necessary supplies so we had to ask over and over...but hey, it's a busy wkend & I know good help is hard to find. Today @ 10 am we went down for a BLT. Simple right?? Apparently a breakfast spot that serves to go lunch after noon cannot possibly make a BLT before noon?? Makes sense right?? So you serve toast & u serve bacon but to put them together on a sandwich w lettuce and Mayo was far beyond their scope of practice. The owner stood there not stepping in to either back up her incompetent staff or say hey we will or will not make that at 10 am. Lastly the staff member slammed the window in the face of the person trying to order (not myself). Is this acceptable customer service ma'am?? Lemma....u have a LOT to learn about running a breakfast/lunch spot. If you need help, shoot me a message...I was in this industry for over 20 years & you are NOT doing it right. Needless to say, we will not be back, nor will we recommend you. There are plenty of greasy spoons in this town w much more capable staff & management. Actually, minus 2 stars !! The staff needs a technology refresher. They don't know how to answer a phone to take an order. And their website indicates that they are open to 3:30 on a Saturday...So I take the trek across the beach to get there. At 2:35 I'm told that the group in front of us will be the last group to be served. Guess it's too hard to serve the last two people in line, being there was nobody behind us. I'm not understanding the rave reviews. We came here for lunch the weekend of August 24th. There were three tables total occupied so I figured our service would be fast. Took 30 minutes for a wrap and a sandwich. My wrap was decent, but tiny. No sides given. A little coleslaw or chips would have been good considering the size of the wrap. As a side note . . . There were a couple of servers sitting at a table wrapping silverware into napkins. One of the girls was constantly running her hand though her hair and then touching the silverware. Yuck! read more

Have been hearing quite a bit about Lemma's and decided to give it a try! I'm glad I did. Was able to get a seat outside, which was great! I ordered a mushroom, onion and Swiss omelet, requested it cooked well, and it was delicious. Cooked perfectly. Also ordered a side of bacon and that was cooked perfectly as well. They have an extensive gluten free memo and my family and friends with celiacs disease like to eat here. Would definitely go back! Also, liked the waitress. What a lovely gem tucked away among the hotels and condos of the Crest. It's part of the Granada hotel, not visible from the street, it faces the beach. Dee M, The Rev and I enjoyed breakfast on their covered patio, chatting with the sounds of the seashore in the background. Yeah, that awesome. Food was very good. This is a new restaurant located in the space formerly held by flip flops cafe. There is indoor and outdoor seating. One thing I noticed about the interior is it seems brighter and less cluttered. Also, someone who appeared to be an owner was out and about. I believe this makes things run smoother and there were zero glitches today. My bf and I sat outside and enjoyed the beach view. We were warmly greeted and checked on frequently. Service is much better at this new restaurant. Meal: - the $2.99 special of scrambled eggs, potatoes and toast. It filled me and was good. - bf got the everything omelet that included toast. He enjoyed it Of note: the juice prices which are majorly inflated elsewhere are very reasonable here. Employee opened the sliding door and stated it was take out only now before swiftly shutting the door in our faces. Place is cash only and there is a giant sign that says ATM inside so I wanted to ask if I was still able to go inside to pull cash out to pay for breakfast. Waiting outside the window for another 4-6 minutes with zero interaction and decided to leave. Other patrons eating inside I guess they cut it off at a certain time? But that wasn't stated anywhere there was an actual sign on the door that said "Come on in, we're open". A little more courtesy would be appreciated. read more

We arrived around 11:55 and my daughter wanted to get lunch and they told me they don't serve lunch until 12. But really? You couldn't take the order, it was only 5 minutes. But she did take the order and her food didn't come out until after her friend and I got our since we had breakfast. That was crappy. Had breakfast here today. Initial greeting was 5 stars. Initial service was good. Family ordered food. Mine included toast. Waitress delivered all our food and said toast would be out in a minute. About 15 minutes later with no check ins after food was delivered and my meal was almost done and coffee had been empty for a while. Was asked how it was and I asked about the toast. They brought it out promptly but I ordered over easy eggs specifically to eat with toast. My meal was picked based upon my meal being ready at the same time. Family had the French toast and pancakes which they said were average. I get service and am okay with mistakes but if you don't check on a table for 15-20 minutes for breakfast that's a problem. read more

ATTENTION CELIACS! This place is a gem if you are looking for gluten free finds. The owner has celiac disease and takes extra precaution in preparing your food to avoid cross contamination. I used to come here just to sit outside and look at the beach to have breakfast. Usually, I am limited to diner like places to basically fruit and eggs. However, the entire menu can be accommodated. If you are reading this review and you don't have a gluten allergy, that's okay! Just be sure to share this with anyone you know that does as I know it is difficult to find allergy friendly places when on vacation. I had a sausage, egg, and cheese on a gluten free baguette, which was amazing! The staff was also very knowledgeable of their menu even though this is a casual friendly environment. I had just arrived in the crest with my two friends for a weekend trip, and we stopped here for breakfast. We sat almost immediately, though we noticed a bit of disorder in the busing process. Within 10 minutes or so we had placed our order - we each got some variation of the 2 eggs, home fries, and toast deal, aka the most basic order on the menu. We then waited for 45 minutes for our food to come out (I promise this isn't an exaggeration). It was obvious that all the tables around us were having the same problem. Not once did the server come over to apologize, refill our coffees, or anything. I had to say something, and even then it was another 15 minutes. When we did get our food, there was nothing that could redeem it. It was basic eggs, basic potatoes, etc., and the toast didn't come out until we were halfway through the meal. I could have made the entire meal at home in half the time. Look, it's okay if something happens in the kitchen and you're short staffed and are in the weeds. I'm not a dick, just tell me so and it's okay. But the lack of communication is what gets me - when your customer is obviously waiting an abnormal amount of time and seems unhappy, please do anything BUT ignore them. read more
