Dr. Javan missed a spot on my leg when she was doing my outer thigh lipo and so now it doesn't look symmetrical and she didn't offer to fix it. She told me it was my fault because I didn't point it out before the surgery but I told her to take out the fat in those areas where she saw it. She also took way too long to do my lipo, which is weird. I also got Botox from her and it never even worked. I have other friends who've used her who aren't happy with their super conservative results. People pay good money to get results and she doesn't deliver good results. Dr.Javan changed my life. For years I didn't feel feminine or womanly due to the lack of breast size I had. I work out frequently, and I've been able to build up everything that you can possibly grow naturally. Unfortunately, breasts aren't something you can naturally grow (chest yes, but with my already flat chest I didn't want to additionally add muscle as it wasn't the look I wanted lol) so I knew I'd need to get surgery to achieve what I'd wanted for years. I'm going to go again today and get help for migraines. It helped me over a year ago... Years back, I thought ppl were used "migraines" as an excuse to get botox. I would kinda giggle to myself. But, after a serious accident I started getting bad migraines for the first time ever. They were debilitating. I found out it actually wasn't an excuse. :( I'm very hopeful. Anything that helps, besides medicines that don't always suffice, you want to do! Writing this review in the hopes that someone will read this before booking with her, because I wish I had known how truly horrible she was in advance. About 4 years ago I had a procedure done by Dr. Javan to remove breast tissue in my armpit area. My first impression of her was great. She was incredibly informative, to the point, and ensured me that through using "smart lipo" I would see great results. Fast forward a bit for the sake of you having to read a extremely long yelp review, after having the procedure it turns out smart lipo is not affective on tissue, so, it did not work. But, none the less, Dr. Javan made me wait a full 6 months because as she stated, "that is when you see the full result." Since we both (me a little sooner than her) came to the realization the smart lipo did absolutely nothing, Dr. Javan decided it would be best to cut out the tissue. I was incredibly reluctant to do another procedure with her, but since I had already paid for the first procedure, and she offered to mend her mistake, I had the choice to do the second procedure with her, or find another doctor and pay for a second surgery. So, I decided to schedule the procedure with her. If I could go back in time, and read a review like this, I would have NEVER let her alter my body. After scheduling the appointment, Dr. Javan canceled it, TWICE to rearrange for her schedule because she and her team accidentally over booked her. Not only though did she cancel it, twice, but she had her team inform me she would have to cancel the appointment days before the actual procedure. I want to quickly mention that at the time, I was in graduate school and working part time at two restaurants to pay for my schooling. I should also mention that having a procedure of this nature on this specific area required me to not be able to move my arms almost at all. I was not able to go to to work for almost 4 weeks. So, as a student with two part time jobs, having to undergo a surgery not only severely impacted my ability to work and go to school (for the second time I might add), but having to request time off was extremely difficult. FURTHER, since I was not able to work during those times, I was not only suffering the cost of the surgery, but losing money during the time I was unable to work. I relayed all of this to Dr. Javan and her team and they showed absolutely no empathy, barely even apologized, treated me like I was a burden, and were blatantly disrespectful. Finally, the day of the appointment came. Dr. Javan drew the areas she would be cutting my skin and informed me she would make the incisions small and go under the skin to avoid a large scar / would hide the scar completely under my arm so you could not see it. As i'm sure you can guess by this lengthy review, that didn't happen. I woke up with HUGE scars going way higher than underneath my armpit area. They were completely botched looking/ sewn together TERRIBLY. I tried to trust that they would be fine, but cut to today, they are horrible scars. And, to make matters worse, she barely made any changes in what I had originally gone to her for. I have had consultations with 4 other plastic surgeons today who have all stated that the scar should not look the way it does. Additionally, in order to get rid of my scars, all of these surgeons have confirmed that I would have to undergo a full scar removal surgery. If you read anything from this review PLEASE READ THIS PART: There is not a single day I don't look in the mirror and think of Dr. Javan and what she put me and my body through. There is not single day that I don't look in the mirror and regret ever going to such a horrible surgeon. Please, trust that I am not one of those insane yelp reviewers who do this for fun. This surgery happened 4 years ago and I constantly told myself, there's nothing that can be done so why bother writing anything, but I CAN potentially save someone from undergoing the same regret I did by booking with Dr. Javan. read more

If you're thinking about using this doctor for a mini tummy tuck and liposuction RUN!!!!!!! The scariest experience of my life which put me in the hospital 2 months after the initial surgery to remove an bacteria infection that formed inside my stomach because of the doctor's refusal to use drains. Went for my initial surgery in the early part of Nov 17' and within days of having the surgery things started to go wrong...very wrong. Every time something would come up that didn't feel right I would contact Dr. Javan and I was ensured everything was fine BUT it wasn't. Two weeks after my initial surgery I ended up in the ER because I had such severe leg cramps that I could barely walk (that ER visit cost me $4,500) Side Note: I saw Dr. Javan the day before I went to the ER and told her I was having problems with my legs and the cramping. She got very upset with me and told me this was MY fault this was occurring because I wasn't taking care of myself or following her post surgical instructions, which wasn't the truth. I was taking very good care of myself and following every instructions she gave me and went to every post surgical appointment. Not once did she lead on or bring up something major could be happening in my body and recommend I get a MRI. Things continued to go wrong and as they went wrong I contact Dr. Javan and ask for help. Dr Javan would not listen to me but instead tried to convince me I was crazy and not experiencing what I was bringing up. She told me this is part of the healing process and I needed to relax. Cut to December 31,2017 when I went to her office to see her and have fluid that built up in my Surgical site remove. Dr. Javan removed a lot of fluid from my stomach and even commented about how much she removed. Within an hour of having the fluid removed I became VERY sick and my stomach where the incision was became hot and painful. I decided to go to bed early that night hoping the pain would go away, it didn't. On January 1, 2018 I went to urgent care to be checked out (that bill cost me $500.00) the doctor who check me out called Dr. Javan and explained to her I had a large infection in my stomach and needed to be checked on right away, he recommended I got to the ER but Dr. Javan said it wasn't necessary and had him prescribe me medicine. On Jan 2nd I went and saw Dr. Javan and she told me everything looked like it was getting better. Jan 3rd rolled around and I was in so much pain I couldn't take it. I called Dr. Javan and told her something needed to be done. She brought me in to see a colleague of her and he told both of us I needed to be rushed to the ER for a MRI immediately because he could she I had a major infection. I went to the ER and the MRI confirmed what I had been telling Dr. Javan for 2 months. The next morning I had surgery to clean out the infection and I spent the next 4 days in the hospital and after that another 6 weeks recovery at home with a large open wound in my stomach (that bill cost me me $8,000.00). After a year of hell going to doctor visit after doctor visit I was scheduled for reconstruction surgery on January 14, 2019. When I went in for my post op doctor appointment I was informed by Dr. Javan she would not be performing the procedure because I hadn't met her weight requirement (mind you I was 10 pounds lighter from my initial 2017 surgery weight and she took my $14,000.00 and did the surgery now that she was getting paid nothing I was to heavy and the surgery wasn't safe) at that point I was done. I left her office cried for to 2 days straight and then started to do some research. I came across a wonderful surgeon who listened to my story and was willing to take on my case my current weight and all. He performed the surgery removing my extremely large scar and making me look normal again. Confirming what I knew all along, if a drain was put in at the time of my initial surgery NONE of what happened to me would have occurred. All and all what should have only cost $14,000.00 ended up costing me $22,000.00 on top of the $14,000.00 I paid Javan. Sad thing is not once Dr. Javan admit fault or her willingness to help financially. Until the end she maintained it was my fault and there was nothing she could have done to prevent what happened. read more
