I debated writing this review but feel it might be helpful to others. This shop is a brand new business as of two weeks ago, and unfortunately it shows.
I was in town for a trip and decided to give it a try as their website had a large number of dresses that appealed to me. I sent them an email to make a reservation and they responded same day asking me to confirm. I did and then never heard back. The day of the appointment I decided to walk by the store about 30 min after they opened, and the place looked closed with bars over the windows and doors. I figured the whole thing was a bust until got a phone call a few hours later from someone who was clearly standing outside in the street and was hard to hear asking me rather abruptly if I was still coming--three hours prior to my appointment time. I decided to try it out due to my interest in the dresses they had.
When I got to the shop, I was greeted by two nice ladies who asked me to pick out some dresses. I told them I had gone on their website and already picked out some. They asked to see what I had chosen and the first one I showed them they said "oh we don't have that one". They offered to have me look around the store and pick from what they had. It became clear after trying on the first dress that the sizes they have in store are not meant for girls above size 8. It became less about what I preferred and now towards what would actually fit me. They kept saying "oh this is your dress" even though I clearly was not happy about what they picked out. They also did not help me up and down off the pedestal in the changing area and had me exposed a lot of the time when changing in and out of the dresses despite many open windows, saying "we don't care here, we're all girls".
As I was leaving, I told them I would need to think about what I had tried on, and one of the ladies asked "why, what happened?" Clearly not paying attention to how unhappy I was.
In addition, when I was putting my shoes back on, there was a group of guys yelling outside the front doors asking one of the sales associates something in another language. She refused to let them in and then nervously looked back at me and smiled.
The last thing I want to mention is that when I asked any questions about the dress origins, pricing, or if they could under larger sizes, they seemed to not know the answer.
I've gone dress shopping before, and it is clear that this store lacks the professionalism of most bridal shops. I can't say what's really going on here. Perhaps it's just a new business working out the kinks, or something else is going on. Either way, I give it 2 stars for the dresses they did have, but I wouldn't go back. read more
