I had to fight to even get an appointment with Dr. Ding for her to clarify the situation with my insurance. And then she had the nerve to charge me a ridiculously high $150 fee for a simple clarification letter about a problem SHE caused in the first place with her sloppy prescribing! Dr. Ding does not have her patients' best interests in mind. She just wants to milk you dry with exorbitant hidden fees at every turn. I have many things to complain about regarding Dr. Ding. She makes you wait for 2 hours only to sit with you for 5 minutes, tell you to drink water, and leave. When I expressed concern about frequent migraines, she only told me to drink more water. When I expressed concerns about a 4-year long pattern of difficulty breathing and chest tightens at nighttime, she asked, "Are you going through that right NOW? At this moment?" I told her no, it only lasts for about 3 minutes every night. She told me to come back when it's happening...which is to say, I should come to her office at night when the office is closed and speed over from my house that's 15 minutes away in less than 3 minutes so that she can see me right as it's happening. Other than that, drink water. She didn't bother inspecting me any further and dismissed me. She noticeably spends much longer with her Chinese-speaking patients than with her patients that do not speak Chinese. If I could give her 0 stars, I would. The only good thing about her office is that there is a nurse who is kind, patient, and caring. Excuse me! I rarely express opinions! I have been doing annual physical examinations here every year for many years, and I think it's okay. But today I went through almost the same process and time, and then I went to the front desk and was given 4 sheets to get tested. It didn't explain clearly how I should do it. They acted very busy and said that I had a lot of problems today and that they would need to pay for an additional examination (meaning the annual examination plus the cost of a doctor's visit). They should have mentioned or reminded me during the process that there would be charges. ,) Among them, I asked which part was free and I wanted to increase the cost. While I was waiting for the doctor to explain, I kept looking at the list and kept asking the lady at the front desk. I don't know what the previous reviewer meant is "dirty" and its like a warehouse. Totally not true. Each room is clean. I have been seeing Dr. Ding for at least 4 years and I feel comfortable with her. I have HMO insurance. I see her about 2-3 times a year. She listens and ask the symptoms. Yes, sometimes she does get a little impatience but tell me which doctor doesn't?! After all, they are humans too. They get bad days too. She is very friendly to elders. First of alll, going to a doctor office, patient needs to have a concept that you can't get ALL your health problems taken care in 1 visit. Doctor has other patients to see, and is too much to diagnose listening to ALL your health problems. Doctor usually only fix 2-3 problems that you have and that she feels is urgent to take care of at the moment of your visit. If you have more problems, then probably break up into 2 visits. I have been working in health field and I understand how frustruating it can get when patient comes in with 10s problems and ask you to fix all of them and get as many referrals as they can. Dr. Ding has been my PCP for roughly 2 years now. After reading some of the negative reviews, I wanted to add my two cents. The first time I met with Dr. Ding she did a thorough assessment of my health history. She was very direct about the areas I need to pay attention to based on blood work and other tests done. I have treated her advice very seriously and have seen tremendous improvement, based on test results, in all of the areas where she expressed a need for my attention. Also, her team has reminded me to complete any testing or tasks assigned to me. Her team has gone above and beyond to make sure I am responsible for my own health. I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews of this place. I've been to Dr. Ding's 3 times or so within the last 3 years, each time for a different issue, and she's been nothing but attentive. An all-around family doctor, she is knowledgeable in many fields of health, whether it be allergies, skin issues, heart problems, etc. I've never felt that she was trying to rush me or get me out the door. She listens to what I have to say and gives me her feedback and thoughts from her years of experience. She also has good referrals to other doctors should you have more specific concerns. I believe there was some remodeling done between my last and most current visit, so the clinic is even more clean and welcoming. I noticed this place now uses a computerized patient file system, which I noticed at another doctor's place whom I visited a few months back. This is great because your information is now in a convenient system that Dr. Ding or her staff can access, edit, and update at any time. The staff here is very courteous and warm, and answer any questions you have. Dr. Ding is a family doctor/general doctor I recommend for any health concerns. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. For starters, if you make an appointment, you may want to confirm, because it isn't for certain that they have you down. This happened to me twice, which was extremely frustrating because I was leaving the country soon and had time-sensitive prescriptions and tests that needed to be dealt with. Even with confirmed appointments, you will definitely have to wait. I usually spent half hour in the waiting room, and then another half hour in the smaller examination room, depending on how backed up they were. Dr Lei Ding has a cold bedside manner. She isn't the most empathetic doctor, nor the most helpful. I honestly only chose her because I needed to refill a prescription that was initially written out for me in northern California, and I was leaving the country for a year. I spoke to all the necessary parties (insurance company, medicine distributor, etc.) and all Dr Lei Ding and her staff needed to do was simply call a number to confirm everything. Needless to say, that didnt happen, and I'm having to sort my meds situation out while overseas. If I knew it would be this difficult to have my needs met, I definitely would have left for another doctor ages ago. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Dr. Lei Ding has terrible bedside manner. I get that being a doctor gets tough and you get jaded over the years, but that's no excuse to show so much lack of compassion. Every time I'm there, it seems like she's barely even listening and it makes me feel like I'm a waste of her precious time. In addition, she's extremely condescending. I remember I once asked her for a referral to a dermatologist because that's how you get a dermatologist...from a referral. And she basically said I was stupid and that I can just open up a phone book and look one up. I know that's not how it works. I've called a dermatology office once and they said I needed a referral. My uncle who is a physician also said my PMD was supposed to give me one. And I also feel like she's two-faced. Once she sees her Chinese patients, she acts fake and happy and respectful so I also found that unfair. A little racism there imo. Basically she's a sad excuse for a doctor. She's everything a doctor shouldn't be, personality wise. After those few visits I had, I'm glad I left to a much more compassionate, courteous physician who actually asks how I'm doing and shows concern for me. So my actual rating for Ding is: 0/10. I agree with most of the patients . She is nothing but full of sh*t . I have skin infection that requires antibiotic . She spent less than 10 minutes on me and said the skin is due to allergy and only need topical cream to suppress the itch . How can you explain the headache that seems to hit on me even though it's skin allergy ? How do you explain scars that appear after sometimes ? The infection doesn't go away and is spreading to other face . Or I forgot to mention about the waiting time . I have been with Dr.ding for many years and I wouldn't have it any other way. The staff here is great,very friendly,helpful. They work with me even when I'm being difficult. They take walk ins and of course I'm not going to be seen right away but thats my own fault fot not making an appointment. I know I don't have the greatest insurance but the staff still manages to refer me to the best doctors that take the insurance I have. Over all I'm a satisfied patient. Went to Dr Ding because I wanted an annual check-up. Office is ok but Dr. Ding is kind of rude or maybe it was a bad day for her. I will say one thing though, I almost wanted to file a complaint because the "nurse" could not take a blood sample correctly. My veins are easy to find and no other real nurse had to try more than once to draw blood. Like the other reviewer, I had a HUGE bruise!! Dr Ding saved my life. My family loves Dr Ding & her clinic & I absolutely swear by it. I first decided to always go to Dr Ding was when another doctor misdiagnosed me. I had gotten a really serious illness but the other doctor had thought that it was a throat infection whereas Dr Ding correctly diagnosed my illness as Meningitis. Thankfully, it was early on & I was given the right antibiotics, so Dr Ding saved my life & I will always come here given the choice. In general, the clinic is clean & the workers are friendly & professional. They are also bilingual here, so it is great for old people who don't speak English as a first language. Our second time visiting this place for our regular annual check up, last time when I leave the office I told myself I have to change the doctor since I had her under my primary care doctor for my health insurance from a lousy referral, but end up too lazy changing it thinking I will only be here once a year, but this time I have decided I must change it. Office is dirty, feels like inside a old warehouse rather than a doctor's office, got a big bruise on my arm from the blood sample due to inexperienced nurse. Doctor doenst seem to care much, my wife had some other issue and she refused to make referral and asked her to just wait and see if the condition will get worse, WTF........ Dr. Ding has been my family doctor since 2004. She is very sweet, caring and knowledgeable. Her staff, Maria and other nurses are very professional and attentive. After being her patient for a couple years, my parents, uncle and other relatives took my recommendation and all changed their family doctor to Dr. Ding. They are also very pleased with her professional care. Dr. Ding has a lot patients coming in and out of her clinic every day. My mom once told me that she was impressed how organized and clean her clinic is. I decided to write a review on her because of a recent incident. I am a wedding planner. I had a urine infection and a very bad abdominal pain on Sunday, October 10. On that day, I had to work on 2 weddings. So I couldn't take a day off. I took some pain relieve and went straight to work. I went to Dr. Ding's office the next day which was the Columbus Day. Luckily, her clinic was open for half day. (Most clinics were closed on that day.) I called the office at 11:30 AM and asked her to wait for me. She did. She treated me carefully and took another urine sample. 2 days later, she called me personally and told me I have blood in my urine and need to return to the clinic for more tests. We spent a good 15 minutes on the phone going over some details and possible outcome. I found her really concern about my health and current condition. Unlike my previous family doctor who didn't even remember me ever time I visited his clinic (and I got sick often). Dr. Ding also remembers my parents health condition too. On and off, she will remind me to check on my parents to ensure they do their physical checkups regularly and taking their meds. I highly recommend Dr. Lei Ding to everyone. read more

Due to my insurance change, I found out the last minute that my previous primary care physician is not in the covered network. It was time for my annual check-up and I needed to find a female doctor. Going to Lei Ding was an "eye-opening" experience. First, they make you wait in the lobby area, with an empty stomach, despite having an appointment. When they finally horde you in, you realize that you are among another group of people waiting to be seen. On top of that, you have to discuss why you are there with the nurse, in front of many pairs of open ears. This is the step where they put everything in the system. And don't be surprised that something as simple as asking the doctor for a specialist referral may cost you money. Around here, money is the key to see the doctor. When you finally see the doctor, she made sure her time on you is well budgeted. If all I've experienced only causes inconvenience for a patient, what's worse is the incompetent people that they have in their office. One person called to tell me that I needed follow-up tests. Yet, the information that was conveyed by her was totally wrong. This caused more time spent on more tests. Furthermore, the doctor's office only served as a middle person that passed on the info from the tests, which also delayed the process. After months of agonizing over the "possible" health issue, I finally found capable people that cared enough to hold my hands and see through the process. Thank goodness, the possible health issue turned out to be a non-issue. Had there been aggressive conditions, proper treatment could have been delayed. Oh, did I mention that the facilities/specialists that they refer to suck? I don't know about you, I know whom not to risk my health/life with. read more

Dr.Ding has been our family doctor forever. I am really surprised to read some of the negative reviews. We don't come often which is good news. But when we come to see her, she has always very patiently to listen to us and explained what we can do to improve our health. Yes, I have to admit that for a while, they didn't do very good with the scheduling, and it caused a very long wait in the office. We just came recently, they have improved a lot more. Instead of 1-2 hours wait, it's only 15-20 minutes off from your appointment time. It seems like very normal in any doctor's office. I went there on nov02 2017 to get a blood test order, the nurse asked some outstanding bill that I did a test in mar, 2018....I asked her why u want to charge me something that was almost 8 months ago shouldn't it be charged before if I owe?? The nurse said: if u can prove yr receipt I won't charge u......how can u remember and keep the receipt 8 months ago while this place always need CASH payment..... Doctor Ding Lei is also not friendly and professional at all...when I complained to her...she didn't feel sorry at all....rather telling me her manager worked 20 years for her...!!so what....even u have been in this I duty for forever if u don't provide at least standard customer service, u will lose yr patient!!! I'm just surprised that being a doctor, u supposed to take care of yr patient.....it's just a very good location that's why ppl still go there. She is lucky having this location otherwise I don't think she will be busy.....every time the consultation is on the surface so I hardly go there, now after this experience I for sure will ditch her... Brief experience with this family doctor, and I was underwhelmed. I went in with my mother recently, she suffered from lower back injury due to a fall and was in a lot of pain. Both of us were very worried, and Dr Ding just didn't seem to really give a hoot about the patient's mental state. My daughters saw Dr. Ding for 2 years for annual check-up. The first time, she was nice and asked a lot of information about their schools. In the subsequent visits, she was impatient and very business-only. My daughters said they were talking to someone who didn't care about them. The worst part is that during the last visit, the nurse didn't check if the lab was covers by my insurance and sent the blood work to their business partners who wasn't in my insurance network. The bill was very big. I protested and the office manager agreed to fix it and pay the difference. The lab took 11 months to send us the bill which is bigger than a lab within the network. I went back to Dr Ding's office and spoke with the office manger. She told me that I have to pay for it. I reminded her that she agreed to pay the difference. She completely changed the story and denied it. Why should I paid for their mistake? She insisted the that lab was the only one they worked. We all know this isn't true because they sent my other daughter's blood work to a lab within the network. I then asked to speak to Dr. Ding and was told she was busy and wouldn't take care of this type of issue. I called again to talk to Dr. Ding and never heard from her. I was very disappointed to went to see this doctor, I go to see her because she is the only female doctor around where I live. I went to see her for a female problem , I told her I been having the same issues since the last time I went to see her (couple months back),but she doesn't think I have infection even though I told her i have burning pains, she was giving me an attitude, it seem like if you go back to her the second time for the same problems, she is not happy, it's obvious I went back again because I still have the same problem or else I wouldn't wait at least an hour to see her.
