I brought 2 bracelets in for repair. One was an anklet. They charged over $300 for the 2. The…read moreanklet was cut down so much I could no longer wear it. I went in to see about a chain extension. I was told by the sales person "I could order you one but this anklet is going to keep breaking because it's so worn. The other was a bracket that needed a clasp. I was able to wear it for about a week and it broke just behind the clasp. Had they told me both were not worth repairing I would have bought new ones. But since all they wanted to do was take my money I will not be going back to this business and would strongly recommend any one needing jewelry repair to go elsewhere.

When I inquired about shortening it I was told unless it was covered under the protection plan there would be a charge but because it was an estate piece there was no protection plan for it. Does that make sense? Then I was told it would cost $62 dollars to shorten it. They should have told him that right up front. As a courtesy they should have shortened it at the time of purchase at no charge or a very minimal cost. This is not the way to do business so they will not get any more of mine or my family or friends.

Honestly, the gentleman is very nice and considerate, loves to talk about his merchandise. The wife is the opposite. This trip alone, we were spending $70+ (in this bad economy) and she wouldn't let my son, who is a teenager, look at a pocketknife even though we'd been handling everything else, including other knives. I truly believe she thought he was going to steal it. I'm so mad! Just a rude woman. She will eyeball and watch you the entire time you're there. She told me the jewelry was JUNK and cubic zirconia when in reality a necklace was appraised at almost 5 thousand dollars. I would be careful about any jewelry in there if she doesn't know the difference between real jewelry and "junk" or is she just condescending?

It was a permanent pin, not the spring type. I don't know how they did it, but they managed to remove the two ends and install a new pin. For $10 they saved me the cost of buying a new $175 band.
