Responses to simple emails took days, and his advice on handling modern assets--like founder stock, complex LLC structures, or even just high-value digital assets--was bafflingly vague and seemed rooted in probate law from 2000. We are in 2025, sir. It's clear this firm operates in a bubble where a simple will and trust for a single-family home is considered "complex." They simply do not possess the necessary sophistication or urgency to deal with the high-stakes, multi-jurisdictional financial realities that professionals in San Francisco or Silicon Valley face. His boilerplate documents and hesitant manner would be laughed out of a downtown SF office. There is also the problem that I requested several phone calls and Broderick-Villa refused to speak with me. He only had a phone call with me AFTER I fired him. He also only improved his communication via email and one "phone call" that wasn't really a phone call AFTER I fired him. Communication was terrible. Once he has your money do not expect your emails to be answered in a reasonable amount of time. If you have a hearing on October 5 you will be offered a phone call at the end of October. The opposition he prepared is not responsive to the issues raised in the Defendant's Motion to Vacate. Due to his lack of responsiveness and the fact that the opposition did not come anywhere close to addressing, much less adequately addressing, the Defendant's arguments especially pertaining to service of process and his alleged lack of knowledge of the underlying complaint, I was forced to Fire Broderick-Villa who then chose to bill me in a scam until the court filed the paperwork. I chose to retain another attorney to represent me who could handle the issue and understood the scope of the issue- SERVICE. Because the opposition drafted did not even address the issues raised in the motion to vacate, I had to hire and pay another law to draft an opposition that is responsive and addresses the defendant's arguments. I requested a full refund which he refused to give. I now have to go to court to get it back and he is going to have to report it to his malpractice insurance, raising his rates. He could have been reasonable and resolved this but took no accountability of his opposition did not come anywhere close to addressing, much less adequately addressing, the Defendant's arguments. DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER! YOU WILL REGRET IT.
