The Lego Store is a great place to visit.  This location has a wide variety of Lego products, parts and accessories.  Not only do they have a good selection they have a great inventory so the toys are on hand.  I really enjoy their displays.  They make a good example of what can be done with the toys. They have taken care to set aside space for the Legos used by younger children as well.  This was a welcome addition to the store and I appreciate it. The rest of the selection is targeted at Lego aficionados.  The displays are appealing and kept in good order.  The service here is well managed.  The clerks are well informed, interested and knowledgeable and their products. The store is conveniently located in the mall and easy to get to once you've parked in the cavernous lot attached to the building.  The prices are reasonable.

My custom Minifigure! - A LEGO minifigure named Charlotte, with brown hair, a white shirt with camera and doodle designs, and blue pants, holding a small black bag.

I visited the Somerset Lego Factory for a Minifigure appointment. This activity is where you can create a custom lego person with a unique body, face, hair, legs, and accessories. The body creation is really cool since you can choose from pre-made shirt designs or create your own by drawing it or using decals. I do, however, wish there were more diverse options of hair. There were no feminine hair styles in a dark color and no short/masculine hairstyles for red hair. The staff was friendly, helpful, and informative on the process of creating your Minifigure. Another exciting aspect is being able to watch the machine print your lego body design. From my understanding, this activity is done by appointment only which you can make online via the Somerset Lego Factory website. We did not purchase any other lego sets but they do have a few displays you can view while browsing what the store has to offer. The store is small so it can get busy and feel crowded at times but overall we had a pleasant experience! I would definitely return to create more Minifigures or shop for a new set to build. A bonus fun fact I learned during my visit was this is the only Lego Factory in the state. This means it is the only store in the state to offer the custom Minifigure creations as well as the custom lego block building kits.

A lesson learned in handling crowds... you could not even get into the store. Management should have anticipated the crowds of kids and business potential of another store creating a marketing event. I attempted to try to shop...to crazy too many people poor staffing to handle all the people ca serious buyers

The little piece we needed - A LEGO flame piece with a gradient color from red at the base to yellow at the tips, attached to a LEGO connector.

Pre Christmas season is crazy enough, the mall was packed, there was a line to get into the Lego store it was so busy. They handled it all beautifully and respectfully keeping everything as organized as possible. Once we were in, we were on a mission to look for this piece my son needed to finish a flame thrower gun he wanted to make. Shane was the absolute best, my son was uncomfortable asking and describing what he needed but he had the patience and knowledge to understand and found this super tiny piece he needed. Thank you again Shane, it was very much appreciated! Happy holidays

Well, color me yellow! A Lego Store! This place is so much fun. I felt like a kid in some kind of store. The place is somewhat on the small side, but the wares they sell are small anyway. It's shaped like a giant Lego brick (btw, the plural of Lego is Lego. Useless fact of the day). Each wall has a little Lego diorama in it ranging from a movie theater to the Lego Store you're in. You can buy all sorts of Lego kits from Star Wars to Duplo to some classy ones like the White House ('cept it doesn't have Balock Obama. See what I did there?) You can even build your own custom Lego people, even though I found the selection of "bodies" to be a little slim. There's even a section of just blocks in the back of the store where you can fill up a cup with whatever you want. Great for missing pieces or cool ideas. Lego as a rule is on the expensive side, you can't find anything for under $10, but c'mon man, you're buying dreams! It's cool seeing kids go crazy over something other than Justin Bieber. I've never seen kids more excited for molded plastic. They love it here. There's even a little building section in the middle for kids to play with. There's also an amazing video screen where you hold up a box and the TV superimposes an animation of the built model on top of the box. You have to see it. It blew me away. There's also some Lego-themed things here like salt shakers in the form of Lego heads and character keychains. The staff seems excited to work there, I would be too. This is probably my new favorite store in Somerset. I'm probably going to go broke buying enough bricks to build a life-size version of me so I can place it at work and hang out here all day.

They have so many comics and tons of toys for a variety of fandoms like Funko, DC, Marvel, wrestling. All items were reasonably priced and the gentleman working there was really nice and offered us assistance if we needed it. We decided to purchase some comics and they were a great deal! Highly recommend this business and will definitely be back!

Oh Funky Town Toys. I've been a patron of this awesome store for a few years now. I first went into…read moretheir location on Hayes and Hall Rd. (they have moved since then) to snag some free comic books on Free Comic Book Day. I've been coming back ever since! My son loves to collect Star Wars action figures. I am also a child, so I love to browse and buy the occasional trinket or toy. The old location was a little small and tucked away in a relatively crowded strip mall on the bustling intersection of Hall Rd and Hayes. The drive there was frustrating enough to limit my appearances there. They have since moved to a new location...terrifyingly close by. Now it's super convenient to visit the new store. The strip mall they moved to is much less busy and the location is way easier to spot from Van Dyke. The interior of the store is jam packed with lots of collectibles. They have a variety of wrestling, GI Joe, Star Wars and Funko Pops to name a few things. There's so much more there too (like superhero themed comic books). With as much stuff as Funky Town Toys has, the inside of the store is quite clean and spacious. It's always a pleasure to walk around and look at all of the potential money I can spend on stuff! If you're into old and new action figures and collectibles, you should take a stroll into Funky Town Toys. There's lots to choose from...and if you're looking for something in particular...just ask and they will talk with you...and maybe they can find something for you. Seriously...I love this place. They always have a huge selection and the staff are incredibly nice. They also know a ton about collectibles. There's a parking lot right out in front of the store, but if it's full, there's a small public parking lot right around the corner! I did the ground work for you...now you have no other excuses. Go check them out. Thanks! Brian S.

I got to the mall for a release of a sought after item at 9:00 a.m. store was to open at 10:00 a.m. this store has two doors. What this store also has is no education handling crowd central. They allowed people in the twenties to wait inside (most logical) and then we found out there was an even longer line outside. When we tried to tell the store this a woman who is usually mean on a good day scoffed at us and only yelled though the door that she would be opening both doors at once (a safety issue) this woman is a middle aged woman with her hair up and I think it was green. She has never been kind. Today was worse. She made it her goal to let the other people in first even though we did the right thing by standing outside the store in the mall. There was a two limit per person (a joke) as people in line were calling the other outside line as families were manning both lines with multiple people per family to buy two per everyone in their party. So most families passed the "system" and worked both lines. What's the worst part of all of this? The owner Jenna was there during all of this. It could have been civilized. It could have been organized. A number per person. Staff calming people down. Not having three and under children working when you have two lines to get through. I can't recommend this store any longer. Nothing about today showed that they cared about fairness. And for the horrible employee with the green bun, you work in a toy store have some compassion towards others. You are always angry and awful to approach and you are the last reason this store lost a customer today. You are simply cruel in an unusual way.

They're even many educational flash cards and books for children. I was even able to pick up an adult coloring book for myself. Regardless of whatever you buy they'll wrap your purchased items which is great because I can't wrap a gift to save my life. The service is very friendly and the overall atmosphere is nice. It's great to still see some toy stores around, especially since nowadays you can simply buy toys online on Amazon or other retailers. However If you're looking for some fun toys or gifts for any kids I think it's worth stopping by.
