I already love shopping here because they always have special Lego sets that you can't get at Target, Amazon or Walmart. And I also love that you can build your own custom Lego people here. Service is great; they always have many knowledgeable helpers if you have questions. Yesterday, they had a free event on Halloween to create a small pumpkin Lego to take home. A must see at the Mall of America is the Lego store. The Lego displays that are have on top of the store are simply amazing. You get a different perspective as you walk around the store. You see even when you go up to the second and third floors. In the store, there is a Lego play area, along with many Lego bricks and sets available for purchase. Anytime that I go to the Mall.. I MUST GO HERE. It is always so fun to explore all of the items, and the crazy lego constructs that they come up with! Like who does this?! Everytime I go here I am always shocked at the variety that they offer and I want to just spend thousands of dollars on legos. Being in this store brings me back to being a kid again and it feels whimsical and so happy and bright. The workers here really reflect that and represent it so well. This Lego store is inside mall of America on the first floor. It's located near one of the few elevators so that was nice. Their store builds were absolutely huge. Best view of them is on the third floor right above the store. We were lucky when we visited because they were having a special event for May 4 and Star Wars. Everyone was able to help build a small square of four really big Lego murals. You can do as many as you want and the staff was very encouraging. If Legos are your thing, this is your store. What a super collection of kits, models, parts, special pieces etc of a ton of Legos! From Star Wars to Batman, to race cars to Transformers this is the best collection of Legos hobby kits I have seen. It's fun just to walk through just to see it. It's a fun and engaging place with Lego items for kids and adults alike. While there you can play in the build a character, play a lego chess, pick and build wall, take photos with fun Lego characters, and so much more! They have a reward program that offer a fun cool magazine for your kiddo sent right to your home - we love them! The Lego Store is cool. During busier times there is a queue to get in, can take awhile. I like looking at the model displays & all the cool sets. I'm a Lego botanical builder & collector so that's usually where my money & most of my attention goes. Someday I hope to be a creative builder and make something from scratch but for now I'll stick to the flowers. You can find single bricks here, sets, trinkets & other Lego merch. Out side of the store they have a Lego play area which is cool to keep the kids entertained for awhile. They do have a decent Lego rewards program you can sign up for, it's free. read more

Nothing is better than going to the Lego store! There usually is a line especially during spring break, holidays and weekends but it typically goes pretty fast. They have lots of unique sets here. They also have a really cool place right outside the Lego store where kiddos can play with duplos at little tables and make cool designs. Great way for parents to chill while their kiddo creates. On this particular day they gave out free Lego builds. They had one prior to 2pm that was a heart on a stand. They gave you the pieces and instructions and you could make it there or take it home. Then after 2pm they switched to pandas holding hearts...all with the Valentine's Day motif. We bought two sets in the store and I didn't wait longer than a minute to check out. Lots of great huge legos on top of the store and you can even build your own Lego figures from scratch! read more

This is our FAVORITE store at Mall of America! I'm not a big shopper, but I'll always drop too much money here, and on this recent visit, I even bought something for myself. I don't know if it was a good thing or bad thing that we reached the VIP threshold to get a "free" exclusive set. They were counting customer attendance to get into the store, but the line moved very quickly. The checkout line vacillated between long and no waiting. We ohhh'd and ahhh'd at some new sets (DREAMZzz, botanicals, Pac-Man) and of course had to find the most expense set in the store (we think it was the $850 Star Wars Millennium Falcon). One kid with me spent a lot of time picking out three custom-designed figures for a (comparatively) thrifty $9.99. And then there's the FREE experience of letting the kids dig in the store-front bins to make a creation while you rest your feet. read more

So cool some of the Lego creations like children in Peter Pan land. Outside the store hanging in the air they have a Bat Helicopter w/Batman repelling down, a person on a motorcycle, a caveman fighting a saber tooth tiger, a Minotaur fighting a Roman, but most impressive is the gigantic model of a transformer about 30' tall all made out of LEGO pieces. I was talking to one of the sales people (Pee Wee Herman) at the store about this transformer figure, he told me they used 2.8 million pieces to assemble it. The whole object is designed on a computer that is used to create the image and determine what piece & color needs to put in the correct location to make the individual objects. The guys that work in the store look like something from kiddie land or Revenge of The Nerds. One guy had red hair in a page cut style similar to Capitan Kangaroo w/a mustache & mutton chop sideburns. Talk about dated styles. The other guy I was talking to looked like Pee Wee Herman. The store had a number of smaller creations placed around the store in display windows w/objects made of LEGO pieces. They had a number of items along 2 of the 4 walls w/completed models that were built along w/these items to be purchased. Along the front wall behind the register was the wall of cylindrical tubes 32 across horizontally & 14 vertically. Each container was loaded w/100's of individual LEGO pieces, all different sizes, shapes & colors. It's a cool store to browse and imagine the possibilities of building your own LEGO masterpiece. read more

Wanna go to this Imagination Center? OK! Leggo! The LEGO store is expensive. It's too expensive. But so is this whole mall. It's located at the biggest Mall in America - the Mall OF America! It's a long walk from the car, so be prepared. Be very prepared! Bringing your kids here can be great for them but if they start wanting to buy stuff here than forget about it - unless you're loaded - or in so much debt that you don't care anymore which seems more likely these days - because you'll need a lot of money just to make that happen. It's like any other Lego store is, but just feels a little bit more fancy and extensive and special because they've gone all out for the Mall Of America location. But yes, awesome. And fancy. It is amazing how you can build anything and everything with plastic little pieces and the feeling of being a builder/ creator is priceless. Legos aren't just for kids. This store is located at The Mall of America. Just look for the large Lego structures and you will be able to find it. On my most recent visit to The Mall of America last month, I decided to come in. I was hoping that there would be some kind of special figure that is unique to Minnesota since I was able to get a special Statue of Liberty figure at a Lego store in New York last year. Unfortunately the store employee I asked had told me that they don't anything unique like that in this store. He said that everything in store are things you can buy on line :( I felt rather disappointed and so I left empty handed (but not without playing with some of the little figurines and taking photos with the life size in store Lego structures). They have amazing large lego sculptures. They have a free play area for kids to play with Legos and big Legos. The bench seating is showing some wear. It's a good place to rest your legs or have coffee and chat with friends while kids build. Staff are friendly. Prices are comparable to online or other big box retailers. Con: I saw someone sweeping Lego pieces that fell on the ground in the store and then they threw them away. It seems wasteful. I can see not selling them, but maybe donate the pieces. If you're around the south side of Mall of America, this is hard to miss with the lego sculptures standing stories high. The 2nd floor is a great viewing area for all the different sculptures displayed above the store. Great place for kids as they have an area to play with Legos next to the store. This is also viewable from the 3rd floor food court. I do wish the items for sale were a bit cheaper as the lego sets are pretty spendy. Price aside, they do have a large variety of lego sets and pieces available for purchase so you are bound to find something that interests you or that would make a great gift. If it is busy, it can get crowded easily. Around the exterior of the store they have medium to large sized lego sets completed and displayed. If you are a lego fan or know someone who is, I would definitely recommend a visit! read more

I love LEGOs. Lego means "play well" and it's just a great product and a big part of my own childhood. So of course, I'm already biased about my review.... but the store itself is amazing. (+) LEGO everywhere. It's probably my favorite place in the mall of 'merica (+) Build your own lego person (+) Variety for young and old, throwback Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, and even new Bionicle and retro (but modernized) City and Space sets (+) Prices are reasonable, the giant sets and Technics/Mindstorms are a big hit to the bank account though (+) Giant lego robot mech on top of this place is astounding. I'd like to see the step by step instructions for building that ;) Reading Brick by Brick by David Robertson, fascinating company and remarkable turnaround in the toy industry from up, to down, and back up even more dominant than before. An amazing store for anyone who loves or has loved playing with Lego! They've got any and everything you could want, including duplos for the budding engineers. The most impressive stuff they have here are the giant Lego statues over top of the place including (As of March 2015) a three story giant Lego robot. My child was so excited to go to "Lego World" that he dressed up in a costume. I appreciated that the staff took time to notice his costume and made him feel special. Cute quirky place to provide a place for Lego fanatics to unite. It has some unique features to help parents share their nostalgia with their offspring. Obviously a lot of thought has gone into the overall presentation of this LEGO store at MOA, making it considerably more grandiose than most LEGO stores you might find in an average mall. Giant LEGO sculptures stand/hang atop the hollowed-out yellow "brick" of a building, and additional figures inside. The outer play area is unfortunately closed off (likely due to COVID, so who knows if it'll ever be back), where adults would comfortably sit while their children played from bins of communal bricks. The selection inside is pretty standard to what you'll find in a Walmart/Target, imo. Of course there's the wall of pick-a-brick that does distinguish it from ordinary department stores. But you will also find that the employees have considerable knowledge and interest in LEGOs themselves. Dan was particularly helpful about suggesting some alternate locations in nearby Richland where I could find some sets I was looking for. read more

Such a great store! Almost every set is available, including many "hard to find" sets. The pick-a-brick wall is huge and the staff is really helpful. Plus benches for adults around the build tables outside the store? I'll be here a while... Kai: "can I buy one of the statues?" Aven: "can I get them all?" The crowds of people never bother me because every worker is genuinely happy to help. To watch dads reminisce to their childhood LEGO building days, now watch their kids plan how they are going to spend their Christmas money is nothing short of awesome. The build your own LEGO men station is a portal of imagination. Kids have the chance to create LEGO figures that look like anything or anyone. This trip was incredibly awesome as the store worker still through in the Obi Wan action figure. We spent over $200 on non Star Wars Legos yet, the employees still indulged this old man. The store will be crowded and loud. But that's ok. You are entering a kids playground where video games are not present and imagination is everything. Who doesn't remember Legos? This is a great stop, even if you don't have kids just to look at the creations on display. You might even find something to build while you are there. The staff were very friendly and aswered any questions you might have concerning sets etc. A nice way to spend some time with family-and you don't need to buy anything. Located on the 1st floor of the Mall of America, on the edge of their amusement park, Lego World is the place for kids of all ages. It's a toy store with all things Lego and an open play area for building with Legos. From the moment it opens at 10 AM and store personnel fill the bins with the Lego pieces, the madness begins. There's separate Lego tables for little kids (Duplo blocks) and bigger kids (small piece Legos). The biggest attraction there has to be the Lego race track. You can build your own Lego cars and race them down a slope. Seems to be more of a father-son thing. The dads build the vehicles and their kids race them. But you better hurry and retireve your vehicle. Resourceful scavenger kids await the vehicles at the bottom of the ramp to take broken-off pieces to soup up their own vehicles. My one complaint is the endless shortage of wheels and axles. There are numerous giant Lego sculptures in the store like dinosaurs, Star Wars characters, a horse, and space ships. Cool to see just for the fine details. In the store, you can pick out any colors, shapes, or sizes of Legos and fill up a bin. Whatever you can fit in the bucket and closer the lid can be bought for a flat rate price. This is a good way to get the Legos you need rather than a generic assortment from a toy store. And watch your step! In the peak Lego mania, there's lots of pieces scattered on the Lego-pattern carpet. Kids dart in front of you with their race cars in hand. Easy place to lose a kid too. After what seems like hours, one by one, the parents remove their screaming toddlers who aren't finished with their Legos yet... with the promise of more Legos tomorrow. read more
