Also, baseball field is kind of uncommon pick for wedding venue! Overall it was a great experience. There were at least a couple hundred guests, but we had the whole place to ourselves - pretty much the entire day. It was a great celebration with the ceremony being a mixed Indian/Christian wedding! The venue itself was big enough to accommodate some special requests. The ceremony started with the groom riding a horse. Then he switched the back of pickup truck that was blasting music. Everything else was inside, but the night finished with fireworks! I heard that the 'before' pictures were actually taken on the field itself. All of this was within the venue, so that was really nice as a guest.

It's an okay gym, but there's nothing even close to "luxury" about it. You'd genuinely get better…read moreservice at the YMCA. The women's sauna is constantly broken or smells like sewage, and it's been that way long enough that it's clearly not a priority to fix. They also completely erased a huge part of the club's community when they removed the basketball courts. That space brought people together, and replacing it with indoor pickleball--without asking members--says everything about how decisions are made here. Most of the events are geared toward the senior population, so calling this place an "athletic country club" feels misleading. And the last‑minute changes to heated classes, suddenly moving them outdoors when it's 60 degrees and cloudy, make no sense. It feels like they're sacrificing quality just to squeeze in more bodies. It was heartbreaking to lose the cycle classes as that was the only community I had been able to build there. When the gym is crowded, it's barely usable. I've seen the saunas so packed that people are standing shoulder to shoulder. It's uncomfortable and defeats the purpose entirely. And while most of the staff are friendly, it's hard not to notice that some employees show up smelling like weed, which doesn't exactly match the "premium" image they're trying to sell.

I had lunch yesterday. The service and the view were outstanding…read more The food... well... needs some work. The arancini appetizer special was good though. I had the corn and green tomato soup (not pictured). I thought it would look and taste differently. It was a broth base, and I assumed it was going to be more or a bisque or puréed vegetable base. It did not look appetizing at all. The tortilla strips served on the side should be left off the plate because they aren't good and add no value to the dish. I was craving a steak and the kitchen graciously not only gave my options (flank vs. petite filet) but agreed to make it. However, I wish they had said "no" and said they couldn't do it. It was extremely underwhelming. I had to send it back because the first dish was gray and overcooked for medium rare. The set-up on the plate was fine (succotash and gnocchi), but I hated that there was little color contrast with the yellow pea shoots as a garnish. It definitely took away from the overall presentation of the dish. There were other issues with the temps of the food st my table as well. It appears that there's fundamental difficulty in cooking at either end of the spectrums but they do a great job at medium. Overall, great service, great view...food- completely underwhelming and glad I didn't have to pay for it.

In all honesty the credit for that goes to our hosts who were most gracious to have us come and celebrate their daughter's nuptials. Onto the review. The buffet was good. The bartenders understood the task at hand with an all knowing wink indicating they'll do it, but it's a bad idea. As to the ambiance, as is well known, you can't beat the view.
