It's a nice spot to pop in and get a gift for a lady friend or maybe a little something for yourself. The store does skew female, so be aware that there isn't a ton for men. This isn't a traditional souvenir store, so don't expect cheap Sarasota items if you're a tourist.

Both times, the gentlemen in the store have been very courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful. Their prices are pretty on par with upholding ST and VV price points and every once in a while, you'll find one of those brands on sale. I also appreciate that when I spend $$$ on one article of clothing, I get the excellent customer service that is deserved.

While we never did see any Vineyard Vines clothing (not to say it isn't in there) we did see similar styles and immediately gravitated towards the bright and fun colors of some Southern Tide swim trunks. Aside from men's clothing, Island Pursuit also has styles for women and for kids. Everything seemed to be colorful and fun and in the theme of coastal, nautical and resort ware. Being familiar with many of the brands they carry, like Toad & Co and Tommy Bahama, I know they specialize in higher-end, quality styles.
