After living here and working here, I can confidently say this was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had. I regret signing my lease and would not recommend this property. I saw this property from both sides, as both a resident and an employee, and what I experienced behind the scenes only confirmed the frustrations I had as a resident. My experience started on move-in day when I was involved in a car accident on the property. While I was dealing with everything, management drove past me on a golf cart during a property tour and never stopped to check on me. The leasing process wasn't much better. I signed for a C1 floor plan, but the very next day I was told there were no C1 units available and was offered a takeover apartment instead. I was also told I would be responsible for damages left by the previous resident. Since the change wasn't my fault, I asked whether any accommodation or discount could be offered, but I was told no. The apartment I received wasn't the floor plan I originally signed up for, and it had multiple damages when I moved in. Parking was another issue. I paid an extra $30 every month for a reserved VIP parking space. If I came home late, someone was often parked in my spot. Whenever I called the towing company, nothing happened, and property management even gave me the wrong towing company's phone number. If someone took your reserved spot, good luck finding another one nearby late at night. If you've ever wondered why residents get different answers depending on who they talk to, that matched my experience. Employees were often given conflicting information, so residents frequently received different answers as well. Working there also changed my perspective. I often felt excluded, and communication within the office was consistently inconsistent. Community assistants didn't receive a rent discount despite working directly with residents, and when mistakes affected residents, I didn't see much effort to make things right. One interaction has always stayed with me. A resident came into the office after being involved in a car accident on the property. Angela, who oversees the property and is Karlee's supervisor, instructed me to tell the resident that the security cameras were not working. Combined with the way my own accident was handled, it left me feeling that serious resident concerns were not met with the level of care or communication I expected. Looking back, I expected professionalism, communication, accountability, and compassion. Instead, I experienced poor communication, a frustrating leasing process, parking issues, and a lack of empathy. Based on my personal experience as both a former resident and former employee, I cannot recommend this property. read more

This management company uses an electric company that charges a reconnect fee each time You renew your lease. Even when one doesn't move out and nothing was ever disconnected. That company has several lawsuits in other states. They also charge whatever they want when supposedly tenants go over the use allowance. Our daughter was home all summer, yet they overcharged $13 for Jun-July. They say someone must have been in the unit, so they charge everyone. Their maintenance is lacking also. We needed a 6 month lease (nursing student) and they said they were all out of those, so we had to sign for an entire year and now have to find someone to take over the lease. Find somewhere else for your student, this place is terrible and not worth the money. read more

During the two years I worked in Nacogdoches, I resided in two different apartment complexes. Comparing the two, the Overlook provided a more professional environment with better amenities compared to Legends. Unfortunately, Legends failed to prioritize their fitness center, which was a significant drawback. Moreover, practical amenities were scarce at Legends. To support my experience, I encourage you to read other reviews that highlight the inadequacy of their staff with move-out processing. It's important to note that even if you are registered for automatic payment processing, you may still face unexpected fees without any prior notification, and ultimately, debt collectors might come after you. read more

As a Mom of a SFA student I could not ask for a better place for my daughter to live. The management has taken care of EVERYTHING EVERY TIME and right away. The building is in great condition, the apartment is wonderful and the staff has always been very responsive and helpful. They are more than willing to sign for packages, work with the tenants on issues and are just overall NICE to the residents. My daughter walks back and forth to school every day without issue. If I had more children going to SFA I would be happy for them to live at Legends! read more

I LOVE living at Legends. It's so close to campus and there are a lot of restaurants and stores around it so it's very convenient. The staff is so friendly and the clubhouse was just newly renovated so it looks great in there. The management team puts residents as their top priority and they make sure that everyone has a great experience and it doesn't go unnoticed! All of their amenities are awesome and are very well kept. Definitely would recommend living here to anyone and everyone! read more

NOT VISITOR FRIENDLY AT ALL. Legends and staff is the absolute WORST place to be involved with in Nacogdoches. Expect any visitor who stays overnight to be towed at their expense of $180 because Legends is too lazy to put up signage or handle parking on their own grounds. They allow a 3rd party towing company to enter their property whenever and tow whoever they want. Good luck. Definitely consider finding another place to live. read more

I've lived at legends for about 2 years now and I've loved my experience! The staff has always been so helpful and there's always fun giveaways and things to do at the club house. I've also enjoyed that the maintenance crew is very reliable and come to fix and problems as soon as they can! Being so close to campus is so nice because I can save on gas and walk to class!! If you are looking for a convenient, great location to the school and all that Nacogdoches has to offer, this place is for you. We are so glad we found this place for our daughter. They won't allow couples who aren't married to live together and that's very discriminatory. Who are you to say what makes a family? Also people's cars get stolen and apartments broken into all the time. Don't live here! read more

Best amenities. Dig friendly with dog wash. Beautiful swimming pool. Lots of parking. Safety is emphasized. Beautiful grounds. Has workout facility and study area. Everyone was super helpful. Recommend for sure. read more

I drive by and admire the building every time. I got the chance to meet the management there and they were super nice and inviting.

This place is filled with crooks. Once you sign they couldn't care less about what happens to you. All they care about is money.
