It took a day to get only a head shot of the donkey and another day to get a body shot. We moved our animals as fast as we could. That was the ONLY reason for me booking. Plus, she chose the number of stalls herself to make more money off of me. We have mini animals and not full size horses. We have stayed at this facility multiple times and never had a issue and recommend them to everyone. We will go out of our way when traveling to put our horses up here and hook our trailer up. As I know I can trust all will be safe and looked after as we always have to drive to the stock yards (about a hour away) and eat at my husbands favorite restaurant so we will be gone 3-4 hours. They have always been accommodating. The latest time we stayed was about 3 weeks ago and we pulled up about 7pm and there was a worker there waiting on us. Cindy had texted me letting me know a gentleman had got our 2 stalls ready and will be waiting on us to help get horses settled in and help us get our trailer hooked up. Then I told Cindy we were heading to the vet the next morning in Oklahoma and she asked what was going on. Once I told her she gave me multiple phone numbers and references if I needed and was very helpful.

I had let Chisholm Trail Rides know this was a special Father's Day gift for my son-in-law. They had recently lost their baby, and I wanted to give them an opportunity to get out of the house, spend some time together, and do something that might bring a little joy and healing to their hearts. They talked about this ride for two months and were so excited. They showed up at 6:00 a.m. for their scheduled sunrise ride -- and nobody was there. When they called, they spoke with an elderly woman who apologized and assured them they would be reimbursed. That reimbursement never came. Since then, I have called approximately 15 times, sent text messages, and sent multiple emails. My daughter and son-in-law have also tried contacting them. No response. At all. I almost never leave negative reviews, but I felt I needed to this time. Afterward, I went back and read other reviews and was extremely disappointed to see other customers describing similar problems. Mistakes happen. Scheduling mistakes happen. What I cannot understand is taking someone's money, acknowledging that the service wasn't provided, saying a refund will be issued, and then simply not responding to repeated attempts to resolve it. This wasn't just a trail ride to our family. It was something these two grieving parents had genuinely been looking forward to. I hope Chisholm Trail Rides makes this right. Until then, I cannot recommend this business, and I strongly encourage anyone considering booking to read the recent reviews and make their own decision. You have been warned.

It seems to be mostly permanent residents with very little short term space it seemed, but it was convenient to where we were going. Everything was way too wet, for them and us, but that's not their fault. The owner/manager/whatever was nice enough but did not leave us instructions for after hours arrival. I know the weather had caused them big problems I'm sure. We survived but were only there for one night and moved on. They had what seemed to be a nice TV room and pool but we didn't need any of that.

Instead of giving a warning or calmly explaining the policy, the staff member went out of his way to insult me personally--saying things like "people like me go to jail" and making unnecessary comments about not being in college. That has nothing to do with paintball or safety and crossed a serious line. This was supposed to be a fun, memorable day. Instead, I was disrespected, humiliated, and sent away after paying $65. I don't recommend this place to anyone, especially schools or groups bringing students. They don't know how to talk to young people with respect.
