And then while they were sleeping, there was a noisy (unnecessary) parade that woke them. This park markets family-friendly yet promotes the opposite. Too bad they don't stay neutral and keep their unnatural views to themselves.

A few weeks ago, we arrived to launch our boat, and there was no one in the office to collect the launch fee. Rather than leaving without paying, we left a $20 bill with a note. The launch fee is $12, and when we called the next day, we were told we had an $8 credit. Today, we returned, paid our launch fee, and asked to use our $8 credit. Unfortunately, the lady manager was incredibly rude--not only to us, but also to the employee working in the office. The tone, attitude, and overall way the situation was handled were completely unnecessary. We always try to do the right thing, and that's exactly what we did by paying even when no one was there. It's disappointing to be treated with such disrespect after making the effort to be honest. I hope Harbor Bay Marina takes customer service more seriously because no customer--or employee--deserves to be treated that way.

Enter through the main store. There's an inside fishing area in the barge with a rectangular hole where you drop your line in. I didn't go there because there are people in there smoking up a storm. We fished outside at the end of the barge facing the lake. Be careful if you choose this spot because you can get your line snagged very easily, especially on the right side. 3 stars for paying $8 and no fish and also for losing 3 lures from snags.

We have been trying to go camping every New Year's Eve for the last few years. The wagon we stayed in was number 1 and is the closest to the bathroom. It had a king size bed and two bunk beds. There was a heater inside, that worked well, even with freezing temperatures at night. We did take extra covers, but all beds had pillows covers and sheets. They also provided towels for 6 ppl. The bathroom was suppose to be only for the wagon guests, and had a code. We did see other people (not staying in the wagons) using the code and going in. Maybe because more ppl were actually using it, they were not maintained clean. There was trash overflowing. We noticed that it was picked up, but it got bad again pretty quickly. We had a great time there. The location of the wagons is in front of the pond, and is separated from the other camping spots. Very pretty. The resort offers many options for family activities and has a restaurant on site.

The pool gives resort vibes with pretty waterfalls, very relaxing and peaceful. The RV spots are a great size, paved, and perfectly level. Although the park is conveniently located right off the highway, it's incredibly quiet. We didn't hear any road noise at all, and the park overall had a calm, peaceful atmosphere. We'll definitely be staying here again when we're in the area!
