It was quite a day exploring some of the parks Bryan has to offer. This one in particular was most…read morefascinating with how many tributes, memories, restorations, in such a tiny spot, there are. From the picnic tables, their history and due diligence of restoration, to the French mum's memorial for all mums, reading every word of every plaque, this town has some history, pride, love and devotion it cherished and is delighted to share in this way. So thrilled I could walk through and embrace every bit on such a cold and blistery November day. Doing so warmed me to the bone. The tribute plaque regarding the Vietnam Memorial replica that occurred at A&M for a week in 1999 at the George Bush Library was most heartwarming indeed. Albeit I'd like to kick the idiot who failed in proofreading the plaque. In the pic enclosed, the line which states: The gallant heroes who's names are .......ugh, it's WHOSE....how embarrassing. And this plaque has been there for over a decade!! Otherwise, this park is magnificent!!

RV park itself is very nice and clean. Manager Becky is absolutely awful. She is very rude and…read moreconfrontational. Every single rule must be known and followed, or you will be accosted at every turn. Pretty sure she watches all of the cameras and waits for you to do something wrong (like having half of a car tire in the dirt parked at your spot). We are happy to correct anything we do wrong especially if we do not know the rules. But the WAY she goes about her job is terrible customer service. Petty issues that she makes a HUGE deal. Kids are not allowed to do anything alone and will be yelled at if they exceed 5 MPH on their BICYCLE. We moved our RV there in March and would have stayed through the end of the year but had to leave because of her directly. I was genuinely shocked to hear from other guests that this is exactly what she does and she has driven away COUNTLESS RVers!!! They say she makes them so uncomfortable they do not even want to use the amenities. Becky lost them another 4 thousand dollars at least from us! Happy to take our business elsewhere.

It is great to have such a complete athletic complex in the city! It is a community park devoted…read morealmost exclusively to athletics. According to their web-site and what I've been able to count while there, the park facilities consist of: four Little League lighted baseball fields, two Senior League lighted baseball fields, two adult lighted soccer fields, three youth soccer fields, two concession buildings, four lighted tennis courts, two lighted basketball courts, and parking for 545 cars. Also located here are Cindy Hallaran Pool (a 75' pool with bathhouse), a picnic pavilion with barbecue pit, kitchen, and restroom facilities, a playground, horseshoe pit, and a volleyball court. The Southwood Community Center is also part of this complex. The facilities are always well maintained - from the fields to the bathrooms! It is always fun to come to the park to watch all the little-league games, or to make use of the pool facilities.

This is not a park. It is very small and right in front of neighborhood homes. I like it quite a…read morebit though as it breaks up the monotony of houses, and I always bring my dog here when I take him on walks in this area. There are just a few trees, plants, and a bench or two.
