I also asked if there are any differences between an EA and CPA and her response was that both can do exactly the same things. My specific question was if I want to make absolutely sure that I am not hit with penalties, what is the sure way of doing that. I told her my assumptions was both my wife and I are retired and no W2 and AGI of over $150,000. She spoke of things but not what I was looking for which was the Safe-harbor rule of making estimated taxes of 110% of last year'sl AGI. The things she mentioned were not going to protect me of penalties. The following is my response to your response. I have given you ALL relevant information to determine safe harbor amount.
