That would reduce the weight on the leads growing straight up. This saved us a lot of money and let us keep our tree. Within 10 days Liberty had a crew there, and watching Bill and his crew go to work was amazing. They removed the branches that needed it with great skill and precision. Because my neighbor wanted the wood, they neatly stacked it in an accessible pile and cleaned up all the rest. They sealed the leads that were cut, and sprayed insecticide around the base of the tree. They left the area cleaner that it was when they arrived! Initially, we agreed on a day for service, that day would came and went without any update, and I had to reach out for an update. Even when they did arrive, there was no text, call, or knock at the door to let me know they were there--I only knew because I happened to notice them outside or my dog started barking. After the first visit, we agreed to a weekly Sunday schedule. However, there was never any communication about what time they would arrive, and there were weeks when I wasn't sure if they were coming at all. We also discussed additional services, such as seeding, and agreed on pricing, only for those services to either be forgotten or quoted at a higher price the following week. The final issue is what ultimately led the discontinuation of service. During a weekend with rain in the forecast, I wasn't expecting anyone to come because it had already rained that Saturday and more rain was expected through Sunday and Monday. I was home the entire time, but I had no idea anyone had been there. The crew didn't call, text, knock, or ring the doorbell. It wasn't until my wife came home later that day and noticed the freshly cut grass and new seed that I realized they had serviced the yard. Since then, they haven't returned for the agreed-upon weekly service. I reached out by text to ask what happened with intentions of paying the previous service but never received a response. The actual lawn work was satisfactory, and I appreciated the reasonable pricing. However, reliable communication is just as important as the quality of the work. A simple text before arriving, updates when schedules change, and responding to customer messages would have made a huge difference. We found this company on yelp recommendations for tree services. We contacted them at 8:00 in the…read moremorning and asked if they gave free estimates, and specified that we did not want any work done till we had a quote and confirmed. They arrived with in 30 minutes of the quoted time. After looking at the situations, we asked for a quote for just tree cutting (cutting the fallen tree to manageable sections) and one quote for complete removal. The complete removal was quoted to be $1400. I said that it sounded great and asked him to please send me a written quote to ensure that the price and work expectations will be the same. He said okay, and asked me to text the email to him. Within roughly less than 3 hours, and 4 exchanges... he finally sent me a written quote of $2100. When inquired if it was an error, he texted back and said "It's not a mistake; sometimes it happens when you look for several quotes and then you make a decision" 10:20 I texted my email to him as requested at the end of meeting 11:50 He texted me and that he sent the quote. He only sent for cut only, not for cut and haul. So I immediately asked for a full clearing quote. 1:09 I get the quote for full clear and asked if it was an error - much more than discussed 1:19 he said "It's not a mistake; sometimes it happens when you look for several quotes and then you make the decisions." A company that literally jacked up your price because you were shopping for a quote - is not trustworthy to perform work without written quote.. Would not recommend work without written quote for buyer protection. We did not have them waiting for an unreasonable amount of time by any stretch of the imagination - most of it was waiting for them to send me written quotes. They used to excuse for wanting to take the wood as there reason to not complete the job. As if that wasn't frustrating enough, communication completely fell apart after that. They stopped responding, never followed through on the revised plans, and ultimately wasted our time. We rearranged our schedules for their availability, only to be left hanging with no explanation. Professionalism, reliability, and honest pricing matter -- and unfortunately, this company fell short on all three. I would not recommend them based on our experience.
