We are So pleased with the outcome. We asked him to raise the fireplace box so its more visible from the dining space-we love the added hearth for added seating space. The flooring base is concrete and they needed to even out some cracks. Great attention to detail. Chuck was only a little irritated with me when I requested taking down the popcorn ceiling after they had installed the new fireplace. This is the 5th project we have had Chuck do inside and outside of our home. Thanks SO much!!

He did not do anything about either the closet that had had sewage flow into it or the shreds of toilet paper on the tile floor until they were pointed out to him. And after he wiped the tile floor, he used the same cloth to wipe off the door handles he had just sprayed with disinfectant. We talked to him about the need to move the furnace so he could clean behind and under it, but he told us that we would have to arrange for that ourselves. He didn't move anything else out of the furnace room or attempt to clean up the shredded toilet paper that was visible in the corners of the furnace room (see photo). We now have another company that appears to have the right idea about what needs to be done and how to do it.

They aren't limited to just water issues, but fire damage, mold damage, storm damage, too.

Like any contractor things do not always go as planned or perfectly but I trusted them in my home- they were allowed a key. It took many many months for a rebuild and payment but we finally have everything resolved. Most of the delays were on the insurance end and others were communicated as they occurred. The team I worked with was amazing. I highly recommend they are IICRC certified and shared their license information. If I ever have water damage or mold problems again these are the guys I will call, who I trust and recommend. *** update 2019***** Reducing review to 3 stars. We had water damage again- NOT in the same part of our home as a few years ago- this time it's my kitchen and an important part of my home. During the rebuild process some additional items which weren't considered were found and they forgot to submit paperwork. To be truthful the missing items should have been identified initially and my first follow up should have prompted paper work to be submitted- it took a third email after the insurance said they didn't get paperwork.. things happen- if these guys didn't do such a good job previously I'm not sure I'd still be a customer. Waiting to see what happens- hopefully we can get this done- will update review if things go smoothly or get worse

After they were called twice they finally told us we had a leaking pipe. In addition, an employee stole a cellphone and a FIT BIT watch from our home and damaged our egress window. They fixed the egress window. The owner was not very pleasant, made us feel like we were not telling the truth. My husband literally spent hours changing passwords and canceling credit cards since the cellphone contained sensitive information. A few days later through Google find my device we pinned the cellphone at this business location, we called the police and had to take time away from our work to retrieve our phone. We never retreived our FITBIT watch. It was a nightmare! The company apologized but the damage was done!! The job itself was OK.. our sump pump has not been running at all .. probably because we never needed the drain tile in the first place. Be on alert when you have strangers coming in your house!! Apologies are not good enough after what this company put us through!!

We have had a little water come into an unfinished part of our basement after every rainstorm since…read morewe moved in (almost a decade ago) and it's clear it had gone on for a long time before that. Obviously, it's something we want to fix. In 2023, we sought a quote from another company, Innovative Basement Authority (oh yiss we naming names). They sent a man out after a month, and with a week of preparatory emails insisting that all decisionmakers be present for the appointment and that it would take no less than 90 minutes. Their man went down in our basement for nearly an hour with a laser to take measurements by himself, then came back up and told us the bad news: it was a serious problem, it would cost $16,000 to install a complicated drainage system to resolve, there were no cheaper options that would solve the problem, if we didn't fix it soon it could cause serious foundation damage and maybe cost twice that much, but thank God he was able to offer us a series of (complicated) discounts and financing down to $11,000 as long as we signed immediately. We were only seeking a quote, as we had been clear about from the start, but the Innovative salesman was very aggressive and refused to take "maybe" for an answer. My wife was so upset by the very unpleasant experience that she refused to even consider getting another quote -- even from another company -- for several years, while I dealt with Innovative's continuing email and phone campaign ("special financing offer!") for the next six months. I was still worried about what the Innovative man said about the problem potentially getting much worse (and more expensive) in the near future, so, this year, I finally prevailed on my wife to let me get another quote, on condition that she be allowed to be at least ten miles away from the house at the time. I called Standard Water on a Wednesday. Without further ado, their man Todd was at our door the following Monday, and we almost got a Friday appointment. Todd, too, headed down the basement with a laser, but the contrast was like night and day. He didn't kick me out to take his measurements by himself, but had a conversation with me about the space, when it was built, and my concerns, then started explaining everything he was seeing. I am very dumb about homes (my talents lie elsewhere), and he was happy to explain... well, a very great deal about my own home to me, pointing out how the basement had likely developed over time, where the owners had punched a hole in the original foundation, and where the water was going. He made some suggestions about things I might do to mitigate the problem in the near-term, gently shot down some ignorant suggestions of my own, and advised me on how to prepare the space for full treatment (by Standard Water, of course) on my own time, saving me money. Todd also told me honestly that, no, my house was not going to fall over because of this isolated seepage, and that it poses no imminent threat to the rest of the house. Then he explained how Standard's solution would interact with our existing sump system, why it would greatly improve our existing radon system, and gave a couple different ideas for how he would suggest arranging things if we went ahead with the project, taking laser measurements as we talked. His quote: $5800, with a "June discount" down to $5500 if we made a decision in the next week (not on the spot). No pressure tactics, no nonsense, just a good conversation about the job and the bottom line. He was in and out in 30 minutes, not 90. One follow-up email thanked us for the opportunity to come into our home, and we've heard nothing since -- and with every day of silence that passes, Standard rises in my esteem. Partly as a result of Todd's honest answers to my questions (but mostly because, unrelatedly, our car got totaled and we need to replace it, so there goes all our money), we are not going forward with the project this year. However, we are eventually going to solve this water thing. When we do, there is no doubt in my mind we'll be calling Standard and nobody else. In the meantime, a nice review seemed like the least I could do in exchange for a lot of valuable information and even more valuable peace of mind.

Chris and his team were very punctual, always communicated with us ahead of arrival, took care of our home as if it was their own and treated us very well. The effort to repair our home required coordination with a plumber and a counter top installation company, which was handled expertly through completion. We lost use of our kitchen, which was unfortunate, but we are certain that Clean Response worked as quickly as possible to minimize the outage. It's with all respect and sincerity that we hope to only see the Clean Response team in a social, non-water damage capacity going forward! If you find yourself in a water intrusion event, call Clean Response for professional and expedient repair work!

While the counters and cabinets were cleaned well we explicitly asked for all floors throughout the house to be cleaned. There was no mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming in bathroom #1, bedroom #1, bedroom #2, or hallway. While the kitchen, living room, and bathroom #2 may have been cleaned it was poorly done as there is still debris visible on the floors (hair, carrot, tracks from trash can, etc). I would not recommend their services, especially for a deep clean of approximately 1 hour in length.

Here is a great story: I had our basement in my St Paul, MN home (Mac-Groveland/Lex-Ham…read moreneighborhood) tested for radon two years ago (this was 2016) and it tested above the level where I should get it fixed. So I had three bids done, and this guy from Anoka was the best. He wasn't the cheapest, but he explained why...he used the best fan system (and put it in the best place for my needs). There is a huge difference between putting a fan near my well-used patio where I would hear it all the time (and putting it in a better, more out-of-the-way place by the garbage can...where we don't hang out). And there is a difference between putting the hole in the center of the basement (as opposed to just putting the hole where it is convenient for the installer). And, of course, using a good fan. I knew nothing about radon, but this guy (Jesse), does. And here is the good part of the story. Tonight, TWO YEARS later, on a Sunday night, I notice that the fan isn't running (but I had noticed it was running a couple weeks ago). So I look at the indicator, and the indicator says zero. There is a small sign telling me that if the indicator is zero, I should call the company (Jesse), and so I did. Jesse takes the call and talks me thorough the problem (the. outdoor circuit breaker on the outlet was tripped...I just had to push a button). This was no big deal for Jesse (because it was a simple fix), but it was a HUGE deal to me. I have a need for safety, security, and not futzing around with things, so I felt a pit in my stomach when I had found. that there was a problem...but boom, I called the number next to the indicator, Jesse walked me through it, and now I just feel a great sense of relief and can get on with my life, like normal. Hire this guy, he is awesome!!!!!!!!
