I had a previous experience with a podiatrist, about 10 years ago, that haunts me to this day and I tried to avoid going. I needed the follow-up to make sure I didn't do any further damage. The office is quaint with a friendly staff. Dr Sinkoe has a great bedside manner, is thorough, and informative. He alleviated anxiety by discussing treatment options and exercise. I highly recommend him.

I'm adding the extra star for Mike N., my Physical Therapist & the Patient Care/Registration Teams…read more I use the word amazing often, yet Mike is simply that. Not only is he well versed in PT with numerous experiences & certifications, but his approach, instruction & care is also first class. He listened to my concerns & was empathetic during my consultation. Mike's objective in designing an individualized treatment of care for my shoulder will always be appreciated. As a person of anti-medicine/surgery, I'm so pleased I was under Mike's tutelage. He helped me regain my strength & confidence that I can lift weights, do yoga & swim (only in the ocean for now). My chronic Rotator Cuff pain & immobility has just about diminished. Mike, you have changed my life! Mike has to share the fifth star with Brittany & Melanie at the Front Desk. The way those two work individually & collectively in assisting numerous (almost non-stop) of patients in-person & over the continuous ringing phone while smiling & courteous is impressive. Especially Brittany who goes out of her way to ensure your insurance/referrals are in order. Yet, before you get to the PT area, you'll get friendly greetings from Marvelle & her team at the main registration. I'm redundant in saying the Patient Care/Front Desk Reps who extend genuine welcoming & professional service absolutely set the tone for patients to receive a positive experience.

Dr. Linville, Dr. Barbour, and PAs are great. Issues are with staff. I managed and worked in some…read moreof the highest rated medical facilities in this country for years. I still work in the industry, in a different capacity, but I have patients everyday that need prior authorizations. The staff here sent my MRIs to one of their preferred imaging facilities. I scheduled three weeks ahead. Imaging facility had 3 MRIs denied for not meeting medical necessity. Laughable since I need several surgeries and also can't use my left hand and am in excruciating pain from c-spine injuries, hand/wrist injuries, and a knee injury (painful to walk, drive, even at rest). When I call the office no one helps really. When I call the imaging facility, no one helps. I called my insurance, but I do not have time to work on this on my own. I'm paying for this to be done. Barbour Orthopedics states the denials and/or communication from imaging must be lost in "faxes". Absolutely freaking laughable. I know every inch of how a medial office runs. Someone needs to act now, or I'll leave this or practice asap. Call my induce and get the denial notifications if you don't have them! Also, when I found out about the denials, plus one order never received by the imaging facility, someone should have acted then. I was told my orders were sent to another imaging facility when I notified Barbour Ortho of the denials and non/received order. They were not sent. Never received! Plus a peer to peer review or appeal needs to be done for the denials. I mean, do I need to come do your job? I will and better than any of their employees. I scheduled the MRIs three weeks in advance. Imaging facility submitted prior auths m one week before my spot. Absolutely laughable! I called the day before my appointment to confirm and they didn't even tell me about the denials, which were several days prior. I did my diligence. If I didn't know the "medical world" as I do, I would have most likely gone for the MRIs. I would have paid an amount they quoted me, which my insurance covers all imaging at 100%. I have zero out of pocket costs. I would have had to fight to be reimbursed and the imaging facility would have had to attempt a "retro authorization". Not a guarantee of coverage/payment. Be aware of imaging not done at Barbour. Seems like a scam to me at AHI. Barbour ortho needs to hire staff to complete imaging auths on their own. Facilities that pts are referred to, are slow and sorry, but they suck. I'm very upset, severely in pain, and really happy I took a day off work for no reason. Management @ Barbour, please call me. This needs to be discussed. Excuse any typos. I cannot use my left hand to type properly. I continue to suffer daily. Severely! I do not recommend this clinic.

I received a call from Edward Oakley ( Vice President ) while I was sitting the reception area. I was quite upset and Mr Oakley disarmed me immediately by telling me that he cared about me and about my care. Then there was a FaceTime with Dr Barbour who was actually at their other location that day. I was blown away that both men took the time to reach out to me personally to reassure me and to bestow confidence. It worked and they took the anxiety I was feeling away. Surgery day was uneventful and I felt safe the entire time. With Covid-19, there was some apprehension. It's been 6 weeks now and my knee is so much better than it was. I want to send out a big THANK YOU to all members of the Barbour Orthopaedics team for taking such great care of me. The Anesthesiologist was very warm and quite funny. Because of the sedation meds, I cant recall his name. I do remember his face was the last one I remember seeing before I went to sleep.

When we called the front desk, we were told "oh yes, that can be confusing but we are told to explain it that way." Now staff and manager say there's nothing they can do, and hospital billing department (Wellstar Windy Hill) says the same.
