Crews from Arrow Fire, aka Arizona Defensible Space have done considerable work in our area and they came highly recommended. Andrew came out to our home initially and began by defining just what "defensible space" actually refers to. He walked the property with me and pointed out his recommendations. We agreed to have Andrew's crew of three come out for two days. These guys work together like a well-oiled machine. They're all Wildland Firefighters, and they are experts at this work. And believe me, this IS VERY HARD WORK. Having the work performed was necessary to protect our investment, and we highly recommend Arrow Fire/Arizona Defensible Space.

Absolute worst. Although I found his pricing to be…read morequestionable, we decided to move forward with a bathroom remodel. Alejandro requested I gut the previous bathroom which I thought might save some money. I did not. His price continued to go up. We scheduled the remodel to occur while I took my wife on vacation. The home is a one bath. He insisted on removing the floor early and that included the toilet so no toilet for 24 hours. But it gets worse. Upon returning from vacation, I find that the toilet has not been seated properly and has leaked onto the floor, requiring a plumber to fix. The thermostat has been rewired incorrectly, requiring an electrician to repair. And the literal exterior wall to the home has been screwed through with 20-30 screws. The list goes on but since a complaint has been dismissed because I needed to repair and use the bathroom before an inspector could arrive, I wanted the next person to be aware. When given the opportunity to correct a soffit vent that he abandoned, he cut and mangled the vent cover, damaged more siding, and scrapped and marked the ceiling. I emailed the inspector shortly after and the next day Alejandro sent someone else to repair his terrible workmanship.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Nethan Acosta…read moreand the great team from Arizona Modern Landscapes. We had been planning our huge landscaping and hardscape project since March 2023 and we developed our own rudimentary plans. We solicited more than 15 companies to come out and develop proposals for us. It was quite the experience good, bad and ugly including time wasters and charlatans. We met some great people and the best were Zebra Landscapes and Manzanita Landscapes for what's turned out to be an enormous undertaking. But from the beginning Nethan was patient, an excellent listener, responsive, knowledgeable, confident, understanding and competent. He made many visits over many months to earn our confidence and our business. Work began three weeks ago at the very end of October 2023. Work will finish in 2-3 weeks. Includes turf, pavers, spa, Gazebo, huge trees, irrigation, massive lighting, putting green, campground for grandkids, fire features, extensive fencing, huge amounts of fill and dirt and much more. Perhaps most importantly after many similar projects before returning to Yavapai County this year, we have never seen a harder working group of men led by Eduardo, and his crew Eric, Joaquin, Juan, and supported by many vendors and supply man Adrian. Frank is Nethan's right hand man and Alex is the fence guy. These people have become family and give us confidence each and every day that our hard earned money is being well spent. In Summary: A+! Superb in every respect! Brandon was so relaxed and flexible, yet professional. He provided us with the lowest bid to do the work and then moved on with the ever-changing job, exceeding expectations at every turn. First, they removed some complicated trees tangled in power lines and over sensitive infrastructure. Second, we had already planted about 40 trees. So we were very particular about how he felled the trees so as not to harm the newly planted ones (as it turned out, he was SO cognizant and attentive to protecting our planted and native plants that he frequently climbed to micro-manage the debris fall, so as not to hurt even one - five-gallon plantings). He never missed a perfect drop.... NO plantings were hurt despite the odds. We were constantly changing the details... adding some trees and removing others to cut, asking them to chip additional branches (up to about 8" in diameter!) from our own collections of branches from before he got on site. All told, he dumped about five huge loads of chips (on our site for future use as mulch) because he basically did us a huge favor of cleaning up both his "mess" and ALL the "mess" we had made before he ever got on site. And, to be clear, everything discussed was calm, easy, kind-hearted, good-natured, and relaxed... he never pushed his advantage... he just kept saying, "Thank you for the work." with an easy sincere smile. And you can tell that he and his great team enjoyed their work. They were laughing, relaxed, and professional throughout. As a DIY cutter myself, I wanted to learn their trade. I watched for hours as they worked... as they scaled trees and nuanced the falls (angling falls away from the tree's lean) etc... Brandon would show me the cuts afterward and explain them. "You see how I left some wood here (splintered) on this side of the trunk? That's so during the fall the uneven cut would use the tree's fibers to pull the falling trunk over to this side to avoid that sapling." (paraphrased... but you get the point. He took the time to teach me... always with a genuine smile.) I could go on and on... singing their praises. This is a totally 100% pro operation with GREAT skills and the BEST work and business ethic (customer-oriented) I've seen in a long time from any business. I'll toss in a few snapshots... Oh, and they left the job site 25x cleaner than they found it (because we had been doing a lot of work before they arrived). They cleaned up their "mess" AND our mess!!! I hope this helps.
