Ben and crew came out today to help us clean up and save our locust trees that were stressed, and then attacked by awful locust borers. They did a great job and cleaned up the trimmings very well. I even had them trim some messy banches over my little pond. The branch pollens made a mess inside my pond, but no branches fell into it which I was very concerned about. They even offered to help me clean my pond from the fallen junk! I would highly reccomend arborist standards tree care. Will see them again in the fall for a mesquite trim. read more

Can't say enough good things about the crew from Arborist. Contacted them again this year to have a big tree trimmed, so that we could enjoy our view of Wilson Mountain, and help maintain the health of the tree. They did that and trimmed some other branches so that sun light could hit our lower plants. Their work was, as always, professional and they were a great bunch to work with. They kept coming in to see how the trimming looked and asked us if it was ok. When done, they cleaned up all the loose branches. The entire crew and staff at Arborist, from the office to the crew in the field, are wonderful to work with. Friendly and professional. We will definitely use them again next year. Benjamin came out and inspected all our trees per our request. He made some excellent observations and was very perceptive and knowledgeable. We thought we would need to have one of our mesquites cut down. He explained it wasn't necessary and detailed why not and how they would trim it. Their prices were a little high, but very fair considering the quality of work they did. They actually were able to come out the next morning with their crew. All were very professional, knowledgeable and worked with extreme proficiency! We are very happy with the quality of work, the quality of professionalism and their knowledge and would highly recommend them to anyone else. We'll definitely be using them again as needed. We had 2 large Mesquite trees, a Desert Willow, a large Plum Tree and 3 overgrown Jasmine bushes. When they were done, there was absolutely no mess left behind and their work met and even exceeded my expectations, which is not easy to find these days. I needed to have some big pine trees removed on my property to help reduce fire danger. I met with Josh and we walked the property. We agreed on a bunch of removals and he also had some great suggestions for keeping some and just pruning. His crew came back a few weeks later and really zipped through the job. They chipped and broadcast the mulch onto my yard. The prices are not low but they did a pretty good job. I would suggest having a little more rigor in marking trees and negotiating a price. read more

This was our second professional call, and we were fortunate to have Ben provide his professional services. He is thoughtful, loves to educate customers and our experience is his observations have been spot-on. The neighborhood has hundreds of ornamental plum trees which aren't' native and live 15-20 years if the stars align. A woodboring beetle has spread throughout the community and we had two trees in the front yard that finally succumbed to their infestation. There's a treatment, and injection to the trunk if caught early... however ours were too far gone. He provided a very competitive estimate for tree removal, surprisingly the same as independent landscaping and tree without the arborist's expertise. We recently had the crew out to trim a number of trees and take one down. They gave me a real fair quote upfront, and actually did extra work within the quote (I expected to pay more). Their staff was very professional and they have all the advanced equipment. We have worked with many arborist and tree trimmers in the past, but these guys stand above everyone. We had Arborist Standards out to trim a Cedar tree a few years ago after a snow storm brought down some limbs. Did an excellent job trimming dead branches and making the tree look very healthy. It still looks great. Had them back out last week to remove 2 mesquite trees. Arrived right on time, cleaned up the area nicely and even cut the stumps down as low as possible where I had dug around the trunk. Very fair prices too! I'm so glad we found this business! We had several trees that were either completely dead, or darn close to it, and some others had dead limbs. I finally got approval (we have new owners, YAY!) to have them dealt with. Josh promptly arrived to assess and bid the job. In this area, it's hard to even get someone to respond to a message, much less SHOW UP. I was afraid they would be expensive for some reason, but because they have a chipper, they bid less than the one other company that bid on it, because that guy was also charging for the trips to the landfill, and I do understand that he shouldn't have to foot the bill for those trips, but it was much more sensible to go with someone who would be able to make less trips to a landfill. The bid was 300 less, they have top-notch reviews and the work was excellent. Lindsay was prompt on getting the paperwork I needed to me, the invoice, and lastly, the receipt. Professional, friendly, excellent work, and fast, too! Another plus for me is that they speak English. I am NOT racist, but I had a terrible time trying to communicate with the other guy. He was nice, but his bid was handwritten and part of it didn't even make sense to me. We will definitely use Arborist Standards Tree Care in the future and I highly recommend them! read more

I must say that ASTC wowed us! I accepted a contract to remove a large tree one evening and it was removed the next afternoon in about 4 hours. That included cutting the tree down, removing, grinding the stump and clean-up afterwards. My tree was growing over my house and over various shrubs and we encountered absolutely no residual damage. I had Arborist Standards Tree Care come and clean up the yard after just moving into my home. The yard and trees hasn't been cared for in years and Josh and Lindsay had their team do quick and quality work to clean up the overgrowth and weeds, artfully tree trim completely remove another tree which was basically a giant bush. I only have good things to say about Arborist Standards. Josh and his crew trimmed 7 very large pecan trees for us 2 weeks ago. We had 2 other companies give us their opinions on how to trim the trees. And then came Josh. Wow. I could immediately tell that Josh knew how to do his job. Josh explained if we trimmed properly he would not need to come back for two or three years. We also would not get all the bushy waters shoots that appeared after our last trimming. He explained how to properly let a tree heal after a large limb was removed. (That was totally new to me). Instead of chopping off huge chunks of the tree he meticulously shortened individual branches to take the weight off. It took more time but wow did it make a difference. Josh carefully removed tree limbs that were heavy over our roof. The other companies did not want to tackle that part of the job fearing they would damage our roof. We paid more for Joshua's work then we had for other companies in the past but I know we are ahead in the long run. The job was professional and the crew was a joy. May 21st, 2016 is when Arborist Standards Tree Care came to remove my huge Sisso tree in the backyard. They did the job fast and were very professional. I knew I had to hire them because they are bonded and insured. the huge tree was too close to our 2 neighbors walls and I was afraid to damage anything if I did it myself. They spent a lot of time cleaning the debris that were left behind from the tree removal which I though was very cool of them. The owner Josh also cut a branch from my front yard tree that could break at anytime for free. I would definitely use them again for any tree removal, trimming, and care. Josh and his crew removed a cypress tree on my property that was dying due to bark beetle disease. This was a very old tree, 50-60 years old and very tall. This company removed another tree that was very close to my house 2 years ago. Watching Josh and his crew painstakingly remove this tree was inspiring. This type of work clearly requires great skill, not to mention safety concerns. I've lived in Sedona a long time. Many of the services available in this area promise a lot, cost a lot, and delivered very little. ASTC did and excellent job trimming our 80' pine tree. The tree had grown over and into the roof of our barn, ASTC trimmed the tree back to protect the barn room and made the pine tree look much healthier. They went over and above on the clean up. read more

I should start by saying that I am a person who has owned his own roofing business,(which I was in for over 15 years) and an 8 year veteran of the fire service. I say that to set a premise that I am very particular about customer service, honesty, integrity, the character of an individual, and the foundation that is created by hard work. I was very impressed with Josh and his company. He showed up promptly to give an estimate on a (huge) tree that i needed removed, as it was causing a hazardous situation for my family and the neighborhood. He was professional, courteous, respectful, and straight forward. At first I was skeptical, as i usually am in business dealings. I quickly learned that Josh was an extremely hard worker, and truly cared about his service and the product that he provides. Keep in mind it was about 115 degrees when he showed up, and he had been working all day. I expressed to him what i needed and he gave me a quote. Still skeptical, I agreed to the deal and he gave me a time and a date that he would return to do the work. He showed up again promptly, and ready to get dirty, sweaty and go to work. The work he was doing was vey dangerous. His attention to detail and safety was quite impressive. His price was more than fair and his friendly attitude was refreshing, although he was sweaty exhausted and overheated. The job was too large to complete in one day. He told me he would return and handle the rest of his business, and by no surprise at this point, there he was when he said he would be, prompt, with a smile, already sweaty, and ready to work. He even pulled me aside before he left and taught me how to trim a tree that he was concerned about. I have already passed his name on to a few of my friends. Writing reviews and suggesting a person for service is out of my character, as I am very particular about services. I not only would recommend him to my own elderly mother, I would suggest you save your time and forget looking any further if you are in need of tree care. We have looked for a reputable tree service since we moved to Mesa, AZ in 2011. But, we could not find anyone who did not using climbing and spiking the trees to cut them or did not cut too much of the palms. Additionally, one of our palms is a Queen Anne. The spiking almost killed it so, after the first time I never let them trim the Queen Anne at all. This year it was imperative I find someone knowledgeable to trim the palms because the Queen Anne really needed to be trimmed. Joshua's service cost a little more but, he has the knowledge and the equipment to assure the job is done right. He not only trimmed all the trees without spiking any; he also took out one small palm, and four stumps. I am finally ecstatic about my tree service. I have one palm in the back I would like removed. As soon as I have the funds, I will be calling ASTC to do the job. Plus, they will be the only ones trimming my trees from here on out! read more
