    Chose this installation through Costco. Definitely would not recommend!…read more Appointment on 9/12/25. Explained I wanted interior shutters for house and blinds for Lanai and garage. explained I wanted 4 shutters for each window. she suggested 2 shutters. Showed her a picture of 4 shutters my sister had installed to clarify what I wanted. She wrote up the order. I said 4 shutters for each window. She again explained why 2 would be better. I said I wanted 4. She spent another hour rewriting the order. $8700 order. I received a message from Costco that the order was still pending i called Costco credit card and was told the information was not entered correctly. Called Custom blinds with Costco info. This happened weekly. finally on 10/6 they managed to process the payment and said they would now place my order. Finally on 11/05 they were coming to install. The install company began installing only to find they were installing 2 shutters per window instead of 4. The Custom Blind owner came to my house on 11/10 to again persuade me to use2 shutters per window. Not what I wanted! They again measured all the windows. 1/15/26 came to install the correct shutters. 4 1/2 months later! I was supposed to receive a Costco Shop Card. They said I'd get it in 4 weeks. Not received. Called again. They said Costco did not have the correct email. Ive been with Costco 32 years and get regular emails. Finally after 8 weeks received the shop card.

Use this company if you want problems from start to finish! Brad and Jane have been very difficult to work with. From the start they were hard to get ahold of and maintain communication. At our appointment I stated I wanted "WHITE" light filtering shades because my house doesn't have a lot of light. Brad recommended a softer white, with him supposedly being the professional I went with his recommendation. My other option was a "stark, sterile, hospital white" as Brad described it, which I said, "look at my house the whole thing is white, I want white!" Brad encouraged me to get room darkening shades in the bedrooms, light filtering in all other rooms. Now I realize he did that to make more money! I asked Brad if you could see the color that makes the shade dark he said, "only from the side". I told him as long as it is "WHITE". The room darkening are "gray" and the light filtering are "off white". So I have two different colored shades which Brad said "oh you won't be looking in one room then the other, so you won't even notice"! I was mortified! The whole waiting time was sketchy because his wife Jane (who does all the admin stuff apparently) was unsure of when the shades would arrive. I tried to get updates on when my shades would arrive which Jane said another week or two, then mysteriously they arrived next day to install ?! That was a coincidence. After seeing the damaged and poorly fitted shades, I think they must have used someone else's old shades from another job? I don't know because it's a mess! I asked for the invoice to make sure they were the shades I ordered but I have yet to receive that. Three of the seven shades are damaged and need to be replaced. I am still waiting to hear back about those. Apparently the excuse now is that they are at a wedding. During the installation the installers stood on my dryer to hang the shade in my laundry room and dented the top damaging the dryer. Brad has not even acknowledged the damage or apologized or anything! I asked for his insurance but still nothing. There were four installers nice, but apparently only there to install and not answer questions or address problems. I told them the colors were wrong and we found damage to the shades. They said we have to hang them and you can talk to Brad with your issues. I immediately contacted Brad and Jane with the issues. Jane was very rude in responding telling me Brad was "too busy" to address my concerns at the moment. Three days later Brad arrived at my home. There was lots of attitude and eye rolling from Brad as I showed him the poorly measured/cut shades, damaged, and mis colored shades. He said these are the shades you ordered and since you refuse to pay I need to leave so I can go put a lien on your property! He has NOT even finished the job! There was NO concern for the issue, not a care in the world! He did not care about shades being damaged nor the damage to my dryer. He was only concerned that I immediately pay him for the crappy work he had done. I thought he was coming over to address the issues and fix the problems. He took NO accountability and left me knowing he was not going to do anything to make things right. I reached out to Brad and Jane several times trying to resolve this matter with minimal response. Excuse after excuse. Still they have not said if they will be replacing the damaged shades or not. At this time there is no communication, I am left with an unfinished job with damaged shades. I have asked them to either complete the job they were hired for or remove the product from my home and reimburse my deposit. $3000 for 7 shades, 3 damaged, mismatched colored, wrong size and a damaged Dryer! AND BRAD AND JANE DON'T CARE!!! I have given them every opportunity to fix the issue. They have done nothing to make this right, they have only THREATENED me! Spare yourself the headache and subpar customer service and run from this company!
