We got our shoes cool she's brings out our pizza and soda sets it down doesn't say s**t and walks away as my wife was gonna ask if we could order a pitcher of a different soda. Went to the bar she's behind it said can I get a pitcher of diet soda doesn't say anything then goes that will be price. This woman obviously needs to find a different place to work at horrible attitude had the demeanor of why are you bothering me but I work at a place that's deals with the public. This place has gone to s**t and I can see why. We will be going to take over in Bettendorf from now on and I suggest the same.

Blackhawk Bowl & Martini Lounge was a spontaneous stop during our time in Davenport, and it ended…read moreup being one of the most fun and unexpected highlights of the trip. We grabbed seats at the bar and started off with a round of drinks--Old Fashioneds and Martinis. Both were excellent. The bartenders here clearly take their craft seriously--my Old Fashioned was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and the Martini (classic gin, of course) was ice cold with a clean finish. Definitely not your average bowling alley cocktails. The space itself is a great blend of upscale lounge and casual fun. It's stylish without being pretentious, with a cool retro vibe and a welcoming crowd. We didn't bowl this time, but the lanes looked great, and it's definitely on the list for the next visit. The overall vibe was perfect for a laid-back evening with colleagues--plenty of energy, good music, and room to unwind without feeling rushed or crowded. If you're in Davenport and looking for a spot that mixes craft cocktails with something a little out of the ordinary, Blackhawk Bowl is absolutely worth checking out. Next time, I'm bringing my bowling shoes.

Have you ever bowled a 9 EVERY. SINGLE. FRAME?!?!?…read more Yeah, me neither. I did every single frame but one, which was a strike. How maddening. Had I not gotten that one strike I would have been convinced that one pin was glued to the floor. LOL. My company holiday party was held here on a Saturday night and we had a blast. (Note: the lounge is only open Wednesday-Saturday evenings, starting at 4PM.) Things that were great-- - The entire vibe. It had cocktail tables throughout and was perfect for mixing and mingling with coworkers. - Shoes. They weren't old and gross! Always a win in my book. - The convenience of having it at the bottom of the hotel and being able to partake/enjoy then just head up the elevator for a good nights sleep. - Pricing for walk-ins seems ok, $5 a game, $4 for shoes. (But call ahead and make a reservation and pay per hour at $35-$45?) - Staff. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. A couple things that wasn't on par-- - The food. We did a pizza bar and it was nothing to write home about. - As other Yelpers have mentioned, the cocktails were not that good. After having one martini I opted for an Aperol Spritz... and the bartender was reading the recipe off the back of the bottle. A for effort. - We rented the entire space for about four hours and half the lanes were out of order randomly? Kind of a bummer. - No Big Ten Network! - Finally, there was a sign that there was a private event at the entrance of the lounge but it wasn't posted anywhere on social. There were multiple groups that were kind of bummed to have driven there and parked to just have to go home. Overall a super fun time. I think if they made a few tweaks (updates, menu changes, etc) this place would be amazing. Overall, Blackhawk Bowl & Martini Lounge is worth a try!

I was visiting my parents and my mom used to be quite the bowler back in her day. We were looking…read morefor something to do on a Saturday evening so we decided to go bowling. I'm not sure we'd ever gone bowling together before. We arrived about 8:15. The place was empty except for one other couple. The employee told us they close at 9 to reopen at 10 for galactic bowling so as long as we could be done by 9 then we could bowl. We only wanted to bowl one or two games so that was plenty of time. My mom has her own ball (with her name on it - I told you, she's kind of a big deal) and shoes but I needed to rent some. I got my regular size and they fit well. My moms shoes mysteriously shrunk so she ended up needing to rent some too. The employee put us on the lane right in front of the register and I joked oh so you can watch how terrible I am! Since my mom is about the same size as myself I decided to try out her ball so we didn't check out the condition of the balls belonging to the bowling alley. I've never claimed to be a good bowler and made everyone well aware they weren't going to see any magic coming from me. Of course my skills were pretty terrible to start but my mom gave me a really good tip to keep your thumb facing the ceiling and follow through with your hand in that position then it will guide the ball straight where you want it. For the most part that worked but I'm a terrible bowler so I found a way to still get a gutter ball. I came close to 100 in each game we bowled but my mom beat me both rounds. We had a lot of fun and were still done before 9. We will definitely be back next time I visit my parents.
