I would recommend Daphne for Acupuncture treatments. Her treatments are strategic and she is right on with determining your needs. Margo

I was diagnosed with Bell's palsy on January 22 after my symptoms started on January 21, and…read morehonestly it was one of the hardest experiences I have gone through mentally, emotionally, and physically. I work in the ER, and although I was sent home with steroids and antivirals, I still felt lost because many of my questions were unanswered and no one could give me a clear reason why it happened. I was told it could have been triggered by a virus, stress, or lack of sleep. Before starting acupuncture, the entire right side of my face was completely paralyzed. I could not smile at all, I could not close my eye, and I had to tape my eye shut every night to protect it. Watching your face change like that is incredibly hard and scary, and it affects you emotionally in ways people don't always understand. After finishing my steroids, I decided to start acupuncture with Dr. Lanie Quan, and I truly believe I came into the right hands. I am currently on session six and the difference has been incredible. My face now looks close to normal again, my movement has improved so much, and I finally feel hopeful in my recovery. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Lanie Quan and her team for supporting me through this journey and helping me through my Bell's palsy recovery. Every session feels caring, calming, and intentional, and I genuinely feel supported here. Bell's palsy recovery is not just physical, it is emotional too, and having a provider who understands that makes a huge difference. I am still continuing my sessions, but I wanted to share my experience because I know how overwhelming this condition can feel in the beginning. If you are going through Bell's palsy or have questions about my experience, feel free to message me on Instagram at esti.imee

I could list all the benefits I've experienced as Dr. Quan's patient, but I want to focus on her passion and dedication to her work and her patients. If you've tried other acupuncturists or alternative medicine for pain or chronic symptoms, I highly recommend Equilibrate Acupuncture. As others have said, when you walk in, you'll notice the eucalyptus scent, be greeted with a friendly smile from one of Dr. Quan's assistants, and be offered a glass of oxygenated water. That's just the start! In the treatment room, Dr. Quan is attentive and seems to know what your body needs. Most importantly, she truly cares about your well-being and will introduce you to different therapies to help you feel better. For those who mentioned fertility support, I wish you the best in finding what works for you. Dr. Quan's FAQs clearly say she does not treat infertility. Some people have said her practice helped them with fertility, but everyone's experience is different. I would say that this treatment may not be right for everyone. I feel the same way about people who mention the pricing for her services. Treatments are offered as a package rather than single sessions, but I believe this is because Dr. Quan takes a holistic approach with her patients. Personally, I'd rather pay for several sessions that actually help me than take a pill that might cause other problems. Regarding the review stating that there are "shady practices" at Dr. Quan's, I would say they must have mistaken Dr. Quan's practice for another place. As stated, she runs an incredibly professional practice, and I challenge you to find another acupuncturist who uses a variety of traditional and innovative treatment methods as she does. For me, the main thing is that I feel better. If you're thinking about visiting Dr. Quan's practice, trust the process and know you won't find anyone more passionate about her work and her patients.

The classes they have offer a variety of movements for the varying needs and lifestyles of their clients. I have done gentle flow and more vinyasa style on separate occasions and always felt like the teacher was attentive to each person there, yet I was getting exactly what I needed! The prenatal yoga is probably the best in town. And I say probably because I was so fulfilled each class, I never felt the need to go anywhere else. Lori Fenner leads an amazing class that helps momma and baby connect in such a powerful and unique way. My recovery since childbirth has been great because of the combination of prenatal yoga and all of the acupuncture Amy Arreygue was providing during the last two months of my pregnancy. I went weekly and swore by it. Helped so much with the anxiety of the last hump before the baby arrives. I always feel so peaceful leaving her office. She is knowledgable on integrating healthy habits into your daily life (diet, stretching, qi gong, etc). Shelby Snyder is also an amazing therapist there. Her massages send you into another world. When you come back to earth, your body feels so refreshed and taken care of. She is very attentive and intuitive to the needs of her clients. She is one of the only therapists my husband has felt comfortable with and enjoyed the massage. To sum it up, this place is the business! Super friendly and positive. Their involvement in their immediate community of clients/friends and the greater parts of Modesto is highly important to them. It's great to k ow this place exists with their progressive styles of treatment. I have not seen every therapist there, but I imagine they are on the level of excellence because of how cohesive this wonderful center is!

But, if you can get past that, and just chalk it up to some people are just offputting, the Dr is amazing. I saw him about 10 sessions for severe chronic sciatic pain/piriformis syndrome. I had tried everything, physical therapy, anti inflammatory medicine, muscle relaxers, steroid injection. Nothing ever helped, until I started receiving acupuncture treatment. This is literally the only thing that has ever worked, and it works extremely well. Trust me, I don't appreciate the poor customer service from the lady at the front (she's actually his wife) but if you are able to endure it (lol) and just let it go, it will be the best decision you've ever made! Especially if you suffer from chronic pain. It's worth it!
