Mr. Osman is an artist and a craftsman. I have a leg-length discrepancy (paperboy vs. Chevrolet) and need a full shoe lift. This involves slicing off the sole, installing a 3/4" thick piece of material, and sealing the entire thing. Everything needs to be even and clean, or I can suffer a lot of discomfort. We are batting 1,000 in this town. We had two pairs of shoes and a handbag in need of repair. Not only did Lee's take the job on, everything was ready the next day. If that means they have no other work, I should be quiet and enjoy this well kept secret. It's been one week and the repairs are standing up perfectly. When I think about how much money replacements would've cost us, hence Lee's saved us, I'm happy we tried him out. It's a cool little shop too. Who doesn't love the smell of leather? We have plenty of leather products so it's a good contact to have. My husband took a pair of my Birkenstocks for resoling and I had wanted white soles. Mr. Lee originally priced the repair for Vibram soles because that was what he had in stock. I seriously love this guy and his shoe repair business! I've taken two pairs of shoes to him and he's fixed both. And, he'll do it while you wait. Can you ask for anything better?! This guy knows what he's doing. And I think it's so unique what he does. In a world where things are mass produced and easily discarded, he knows his craft and knows it well. He can rescue those favorite pair of exactly fitting shoes for you efficiently and methodically. You can drop them off or wait for him as he works his magic. I'm not the only person that recognizes this because there's always stacks of shoes ready to be picked up. I had the heels repaired on two pairs of shoes. It was around $10 a pair. Totally worth it to me. A good pair of shoes is like a pair of perfectly fitting jeans: you don't want to give them up unless you absolutely have to. Hours: 8-6 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. 9 to 2 Wednesday and Saturday. The Saturday hours are really nice if you want him to fix your shoes while you wait. You should bring cash or check though, he doesn't take credit cards. read more

Been going to Lee for the past 3 years. Does a great job each time. Doesn't give me a receipt for the shoes I drop off and I no longer ask how much it costs.....he remembers what I drop off and he's very reasonable with his charges. Repaired the underside of a worn TUMI shoulder strap for me after TUMI said they wouldn't refurbish it. Cost $35 and it looks great. I'll be back get heals on my dress shoes replaced at $29ea. Seems like a great local craftsman shop. read more

Not happy. Purse strap broke. Took it in for a few stitches to fix the one side and requested a couple stitches to reinforce the other side. When I returned to pick it up on the day I was told it would be ready, it wasn't done. Returned a few days later to find out he fixed the one side but did not reinforce the other side. Paid $14 to get both sides done but only one was done. When I asked about the other side he just said it will be fine. I will not go back there again. read more
